Good video Joan. I’m a strong advocate of still tracking and weighing. It works for me. I’ve been at goal for 17 years now. I’ve noticed from the Facebook group that a lot of people don’t eat meals so much as a succession of snacks which makes it harder to include all the food groups and to have a balanced, sustainable diet.
I absolutely love weight watchers and the App, lost 33 pounds since December🎉 and although I get lost with tracking a lot of the times, I basically stick to my points and work out 3 times a week, plus work out at a personal training studio 2x a week, and love it! I’m pretty strict about what I eat and how much I eat! I also measure! Cut out red meat, quit salt 9 months ago, stopped alcohol January 1st, but enjoy a glass of white wine once in a while, bit literally not much at all anymore! Feeling healthy, looking better, and enjoy who I see in the mirror now👍🏼 the best part is, I enjoy everything I eat and it’s not a diet anymore. It’s a way of life for me, an I’m not going back🎉🎉🎉🎉

It took me a few months to wrap my head around how to work this program. It took a lot of work and a lot of watching you tubers like yourself who have been successful. I think one of the more important ideas to get into my head was to eat how we plan to eat for the rest of our lives. This is not a diet but a lifestyle change. Thanks for the reminders.

I stayed with the old Weight Watchers program for over a year and kept it off for a couple of years before gaining most of it back. It's a lifetime thing, folks. Short of counting points your entire life, there's no alternative other than to drastically cut the calories and get used to being hungry most of the time. That's a fact!

My biggest struggle is finding the right amount points for my calorie range but with experimenting I will find it.
Great topic!!! I realized that I was popping a lot of things in my mouth in a day that I didn’t count, when I stopped doing that I saw a loss at weigh in!!! It definitely works!!!
Only 3 Oreos? 😂😂😝 I watched a video one time and the person decided that WW was wrong on some of the free food items. She doesn’t track creamer, avocados and oils. She said the creamer was a milk product and the oils are healthy so you don’t have to track them. I counted the points in a what you eat in a day video. She easily had 6 points of creamer and over 10 points of avocado and oils in just one day. Lots of Good advice in this video. I admire how you work your WW program. It gets so old when people say that WW promotes processed food In order to stay at points. You prove daily that it is simply up to you to make the best food choices. You can actually be successful if you just choose wisely on how to spend your points on good wholesome food. ❤️❤️❤️❤️

As I watched, I went into the app to track the Cortada (1 point) that I had earlier and forgot about, updated the TRUE amount of creamer I use in my morning coffee and added the regular Reddi-Whip that I put on my Strawberry jello fluff. (I’ve never tracked that, and it’s a point!). Fortunately, these things added, I’m still exactly at my 16 points (on purpleI), including dinner, which is zero point - one cup (yes, Ma’am! I will measure it!) and 1/2 cup of Dee’s zero point marinara sauce. I really do want to give this a fair chance and before watching this video, I would have said that absolutely I was following the plan to the letter. Thank you again!
Will you not lose weight if you don’t eat all your points? I’m 23 and I have 23 points to use for the whole day. Sometimes I’m just not that hungry so I have like 5 left over but then the scale doesn’t move. Please help!
Most people need to eat all their dailies and some of their weeklies to lose. When we switched to all Whole Foods, I found my problem was not eating enough calories. I would eat 23 points, but only have 600-700 calories. So, it may not be a bad idea to double track for a few days to keep a check on things!
You are welcome. For hot tea, I drink mostly black teas. I have a favorite little tea shop where I get several varieties of loose leaf black. But if I’m not drinking that, I enjoy Twinings English or Irish breakfast or on days where I need an extra kick, then Tazo Awake English breakfast. I also like Tazo’s dessert teas in the late afternoon. For iced tea I like green teas and fruit teas as well as plain black
I am eating full fat cheese now. I stopped buy fat free half and half. I buy regular half and half now. I weigh my avocado. I am watching my sodium levels carefully due to an issue with hypertension.
Such a great topic! And all of it so true! I have finally lost 2 weeks in a row! I tend to eat a lot of sugar free hard candy and sugar free popsicles and I don’t track them, the past 2 weeks I have been tracking them so I know it’s not the only reason the scale is moving but I’m sure it’s helping! 😊❤️❤️❤️
