I just got a 2010 Fusion Sport and was curious about this since the cats are integrated into the exhaust manifolds. Did you just gut the cats and put the manifolds back on?
I actually left the manifolds on the car. Just dropped the Y-pipe and removed the O2 sensors. Took some light taps with a hammer and chisel to break it up and they all fell out. They’re pretty brittle chunks so a few bigger pieces I would just pry against the side of the manifold and they would crack into smaller pieces. Just be prepared for a ton of dust, eye protection and N95 are nice to have

that I've been wanting to delete my cats on my 4-cylinder but in California it's illegal and I don't know how a cop would find out but I guess they would
TUFBUILDS the cop wont be able to tell but you won't pass emissions without cats over there.
Well I was thinking to put it back on when it comes time do you think that would work?
