🎉 I do believe today is your birthday Claire.
HAPPY BIRTHDAY, CLAIRE!🎉
Thank you so much!
PS: Happy Healthy, and Successful/Wealthy new For Riel Global Birthday!!!
Thank you so much!
Great video! Backpackers have been complaining that Cambodia is getting expensive but your vid has disproved that!
Yeah the prices of a lot of these things haven't changed in years. You can still get a bed in a dorm for $4 and a private room with its own bathroom for $9. I was looking yesterday on Agoda and saw those prices. Probably higher in a few months, though.
I was very glad to see that the hostel I stayed at twelve years ago still has the same prices, indeed. 😊
@@phlezktravels that's great!
Fun video! Happy birthday, Claire 🥳
Thank you! 😁
Variety of $1 deals… food, snacks, drinks, ride, fun, wearable, etc…
It's just amazing how great the value is here. Thanks for watching!
The cost of living in Siem Reap is so much more economical than Phnom Penh 😐
Yes it is definitely cheaper up here. The selection of restaurants is outstanding given the size of the place.
@@ForRiel not fair 😟
Incredible prices… love the varieties… chicken sandwiches look large… of course, fried bananas and Khmer waffles are very delicious additions..
Yeah, it's amazing what a dollar can buy. Everything here is delicious and so much variety. I think the waffles are my favourite though.
I enjoy your channel a lot. You two have such upbeat, positive attitudes! Thanks for what you do.
Glad you enjoy our videos! Thanks for being here.
Street cart sandwiches .65
Love the waffles. I'll go to Khmer Taste.
Yeah the value at Khmer Taste is very good.
Very informational video...
Thank you, and thank you for watching! 😁
Cool. Did you live stream the 50/60 party? And if so, prove it. That was much too early to get up and watch at 6am on a Saturday.
No, we didn't film it. There were a lot of people and in the end we just wanted to enjoy the moment and talk to as many people as we could.
@@ForRiel As usual, a wise choice.
Happy birthday 🎂 🥳 🎉 Claire. Hope you had a fanastic birthday. Cool video 😊
Cheers, Mike! Thanks for watching.
Great vid!
Thank you for watching!
@@ForRiel I watch every one. Would love to be there more frequently. These days, the cost of living down under would offset the flight in weeks! Very interested in volunteering opportunities in siem reap too.
Yes, now that Air Asia is flying from the Gold Coast again there are some great deals.
I just came off a 16 can Krud ring pull winning streak. 16 free cans in a row. I guess their odds are a bit better than Cambodia, Ganzberg etc, but fewer of the bigger prizes - cash, motorbikes etc. It's probably my favorite commercial beer here at the moment.
And in other cheap booze news, the alcohol shop in Street 9 (the main road behind Chubby Gonzos), across from the Old Market sells small bottles of imported Scotch for $1. I think they are 200ml.
AND....the mango ciders at that Speakeasy Bar near Pub Street are killer. Really nice. $0.50 during happy hours (3~5?), and $1 the rest of the time. At 8%, they definitely creep up on you. The dude does an all-you-can-drink thing for $5 on Mondays, but considering the prices, you'd have to get *really* effed up in order to get your money's worth.
Wow, some great tips and advice there. We have heard about those mango ciders... dangerous indeed. Thanks for watching!
Thank God Royal D wasn't what I was thinking it was 😝
Haha yes I hadn't thought about it that way!
@@ForRiel 👑 🍆 😜
Hah Jeremy’s face at the 15:00 min mark showcasing the foods and drinks…😅 on par with any of those lovely women on TV game shows
He was being silly and doing his crazy eyes 👀 .
Thanks for watching and commenting 🙂
Thanks! But you missed the best one - last time I was in Siem Reap (2016) cigarettes were $1 for 20, here in UK $15. You probably don't smoke!😉
You're right, we don't smoke so that one is off the radar for us. Thanks for watching.
you guys are great
Cheers, mate!
Great video. Those chicken burgers look delicious as were many other things you showcased. The cellphone deal was incredible given the allowances on offer for 7 days.
The Cellcard plan is incredible value. The fact that unused data rolls over is a real bonus. The chicken burgers are crazy good for $1!
Nice video. ❤❤
Thank you 🤗 Glad you enjoyed it!
That's a very good deal for a Mango Smoothie. In Thailand, the cheapest I can find the Mango ones are for 40 baht.
Yes, it is such great value and so fresh!
Excellent video! Thanks for sharing your detailed knowledge of bargains in SR (&eating fried foods & drinking alcohol).
Thanks so much! We had to make a lot of sacrifices for this video. 🤣
Great video you’d never spend your money in Cambodia it’s that cheap,,,peace and happiness as always
No, it's actually difficult to spend a lot here! There are so many great options.
@@ForRiel i agree there is many beautiful arts and crafts to be had on my visit there I bought many beautiful scarves got shoes made and bought lovely Buddhist beads and got tailored shirts,,,,
Thanks for all of the information, I’ll be there in a few months and the information ahead of time is really helpful.
Awesome, so many great places to try. 😁
How did Jeremy fit in that little tuk-tuk thingy?
At 6'4" I'm much more comfortable in a remorque.
Yeah, we prefer the bigger ones, but it was a pretty short distance.
Prices have not changed much since the last time I was there in 2008. Great video ❤❤❤!! Thank you.
Thanks so much for watching! We haven't noticed prices rising too much either.
Yes, that is what I impress with Cambodia able to keep food price low. Given food price is going up everywhere else in the world.
Great challenge to share this to the world as always from the ForRiel. If you could sleep, eat, and travel like locals, you can stretch your $$$ much further. There's always an option in life. Cheers 🍷
Thank you so much! We had a lot of fun making the video and finding heaps of things to show.
Really fun to see. I wonder if the prices are up-to-date? The $1 chicken burger and 50c cake....
Thanks for watching! Yes, prices are current as we only just filmed the segments.
@@ForRiel Oh great. Incredible value still! They seem like COVID prices.
Happy Birthday Claire! Wishing you all the best 😀
Thank you, Michelle.
Chicken burger not bad for a buck
There's a few places that do them for $1 and they're usually very good.
Every food and drinks look so yummy. Thanks
Yes, we really are spoilt for choice in Siem Reap!
Those Royal D's are a lifesaver - pre-bedtime after a night out or curing hangover on the day after, or just as a general replenishment, as you said. I've always preferred these over Gatorade and the likes.
Absolutely love them. I like the one that has more white on the packet as it's less sweet. Always have some of these on hand.
Fibre sachets are a godsend too. Always recommend them for the first few weeks of ‘belly adjustment’
Good evening
Thanks for watching, David.
Good morning. 😊
Number 2 looks real fun! 👍👍😀 Wish to try it one day 😊❤🙏
It's great fun! They might be rubber tipped arrows but they pack a punch!
That was good fun to watch, thanks guys
Glad you enjoyed it! It was a fun video to make.
Hello you two, the khmer restaurant prices are just ... amazing ! How can they make money from this ? Maybe a way to catch some customers but even that ... Very nice to have meet you last time, bye . Ben from France
I guess that restaurant makes money from sheer volume. Also, most people buy a few dishes and most of them are around $3. It's very good value.
Love Gymtime and the coffees here, did not know about the discounted bakery though. Today Iza and I go to Khmer Taste!! looks good.
Across the road from KT is another really nice restaurant as well.
Is it hard to get a driver's license there
No I think it's quite simple to transfer your home country license but you can legally ride up to 125cc without one.
Good to know about Royal D and see interesting footage of Siem Reap and daily life
thanks Claire and Jeremy
Thanks for watching right to the end! 🇰🇭🎉🙏🍍
You guys forgot the 1$ joints, much healthier than alcohol
Maybe forgot isn't the right word.... It would be a little silly to include footage of us doing something illegal in a public video!
@@ForRiel Having lived and worked for a decade in Cambo i would take the highly unlikely legal ramifications of a documented joint over the inevitable health ramifications of very often fake spirits and would never encourage others to deviate from that path especially in Snooky/The Pen where scammers/thieves prey on drinkers specifically and the traffic is less forgiving to that type of intoxication , its counter intuitive but thats Cambodia
Would be a fast track to getting your channel potentially demonetized, I guess.
@@graemebuchan1919 please go ahead and send me a link to your video!
@@sherrymartin2509 yes, not a risk we'd take, that's for sure.
You had a lot of fun doing the video and i had even more fun (maybe) watching it. Thumbs up!
Glad you enjoyed it! We definitely did. 🤣🎉🇰🇭🎯
Golly gosh - Amazing value & many are every items - Nicely done team 😃👌👍👋🙏
Cheers Ant! It was a fun video to make and we are not complaining about having to eat and drink all the items :)
Fun fun and yummy
Thank you for watching 😊🙏
Hello both friends who came to Cambodia, good luck🙏🧡🧡🧡👍👌
Thank you so much! 🙏😁🇰🇭🎯🎉
Very interesting video, learnt a lot about Siem Reap from this outside of the prices.
I'm glad to hear it - it was a fun video to make.
Prices are amazing , thanks for sharing !!! Looks good .
Yeah it's incredible the value you can find here.
Gold 👊 Love the tips. I will keep my eye out for Royal D 🙂 thanks guys
Royal D is the best! It's great to always have some on hand.
Thank you for another excellent video. Two draft beers for a buck. Enough said. I am moving to Siem Reap! 😅 Those tacos and fresh spring rolls looked good as well. 😋
Thanks for watching! The value here is amazing 😁
Great Video, I have breakfast at Khmer Taste when I'm there. Great iced coffee and eggs.
Yeah, it's so cheap. I feel like the staff are a bit unhappy there, though. That's my only concern.
@@ForRiel come to think of it that is true.
good to know. Thanks a lot
Can you do a video about tailoring in Siem Reap
Will try, never got anything made here.
Glad I found you guys .
Great to have you here, John!
Love it.
Enjoyed this video as always!
Thanks for watching!
Thanks for sharing
Thanks for watching!
Great video, informative, but I think I will pass on the Krud. We all have enough Krud in our lives already 😂
Krud is actually not bad at all! The locals pronounce it to rhyme with good, so Good time, Krud time is their tagline. Thanks so much for watching!
Good day Krud day!
It's actually really good.
Very Useful ❤❤
Glad to hear that. :)
That was a fun video😄👍
Jeremy got to eat and drink lots of fun stuff! The PassApp ride was to your place 😊.
Thanks
No problem 😊
Thank you guys, very helpful.. Will visit Siem reap next year...
That's great! Lots of fun times and bargains to be had here!
This was a great video!! Would have been fun to make too! Just goes to show how affordable SR can be if you look in the right spots! We are going to have to give a few of those cheap eats places a go- tacos and tequila..i mean come on!! P.S. Sorry not sorry about the waffles :D
The chicken tacos are really good. You might have to see how many of these you can squeeze into one day! The 23 items for $1 in one day challenge! It was a fun video to make - basically 19 tiny videos then put them all together.
My soda water at The Brothers for the birthday party for Claire and David was a 4000 Riel.😂
Thank you so much for joining us! Your soda should be #24. 😁
😃😄😇😇😉🫠❤😊
🍻🙏🍍🎉🇰🇭🎯🐈⬛
Awesome video! I am adding all of these places to my To-Do List so me & my daughter can go and visit them! Where is the waffle place located? I can't find it on google maps.
That's great! The waffle lady is here: maps.app.goo.gl/ow4ti7dVXiAV1nLR8. It's just a trailer, not a permanent structure.
I'm a bit late, but this was a cool one
Haha better late than never! Thanks for watching.
Great video, can you please say something about prices for dog and cat food?
Thank you
I think it's a similar price to Australia. You can buy really big bags of dry food at the Angkor Market on Road 6.
We get waffles at that same cart.
They are best 👌
great video 👍is there any cider breweries in siem reap thanks👍
We just were told about another place that does hard cider so will look into that as well.
@@ForRiel thank you 😊
Haha! Nice eating and drinking fest 😊
It was good fun!
Where do you buy Royal D? Interesting video, thanks 😊
All three Angkor Market branches have them, and both Chao San Hok branches stock them, too. Probably, any of the little mini marts would have them but I've only ever bought them at the bigger supermarkets.
Quit teasing me with those banana fritters. 😩
Haha, book a flight already!
@@ForRiel Working on it. 😂
Funny you know Tang. I have only seen it in the Caribbean. Not as healthy as this but way cheaper
Yeah we had Tang in Australia as kids. You don't see it there anymore, so it's a childhood memory for us.
$1 for one bowl of chicken soup 😍😍
Awesome! Delicious too. 😁
It seems that you can drink cold drinks made with water in Cambodia. Do they use bottled water and is it okay to eat salads and raw vegetable at food stalls. I saw on a video that the vegetables at markets are sometimes sprayed with chemicals to keep them fresh. Is this true? Is it possible to buy organic fruit and vegetables in Cambodia?
I don't know anything about that, and if that was the case everyone in the world would do it. A food stall works on return customers and good feedback, so they would wash all there products. 😀 There are organic fruit and vegetables available here.
If you bring your own reusable mug, would they fill that with coffee for you?
Yes.
Yes they would. It just involves a level of pre-planning that eludes us most of the time. :)
The chicken burgers look good and only cost $1 each. Are they good?
Yes, they're very good! 😁🎯🙏🎉
you have visited in Cambodia a long time ago first time, how these same prices has been develop? are they higher or same or even lower
I think they are mostly the same or a tiny bit higher. There hasn't been much movement in prices.
👍✌️🙏🇰🇭
🐈⬛🇰🇭✈️🙏🎉🍍😁🍺👌
U r showing one of my 800dollar notes joke
I'm not sure I know what you mean! :)
most stalkers are cheaper than 1 dollar they are volunteers
You're right about that! Very generous work they do for free.
@@ForRielyep it is similar to be vaccinated indeed
@@ForRieleffective and safe flatten the curve plus only soft side effects............i guess
flatten the curve .........most do have the fliehende Stirn of proper Primates
I like my comment really
So many options to spend a buck…
Any time of the day or night!
Gram of weed costs a dollar........
But it's not legal, so we don't mention it. 😁
Yo...so I thought I might mention it
Excellent!😄
Thanks for all the information
My pleasure, thanks for watching.
Fabulous video guys so cheap where you are unbelievable 😂
It's incredibly inexpensive to live here. Thanks for watching!
Where do you get the ROYAL D ,electrolyte drink from please. I tried chemist but no luck. Or do we go to markets. Thanks.
All of the big supermarkets have it. Angkor Market, all 3 branches and both branches of Chao Sang Hok.
