Sarah, I know that this is not your regular type of video, but I really enjoyed your take on the apartments. I was there and I have seen things here that I didn't see while I was wandering around. You have a natural knack for showcasing the properties in such a great way. Watching you film this day gave me so much respect for what you both do and how much work you put into your videos. It's inspiring.
Oh really? It's situated in a pretty sort after area for expats so perhaps that's why. Not a bad cross section of what you can get for your coin here. Thanks for watching and the comment, it's much appreciated Kim 🙏❤️
We are indeed, I looked at it, but the reviews recently were saying it was not worth the effort after Covid. Could be something to check out on our bike around siem reap in the following days.
@@franclyspeaking yes there are less performances, but it is half price. The waxwork museum is cool, and the gallery with old musical instruments, weapons and stuffed wild cats us interesting. The garden itself is a wonderful journey into surrealism. Careful on the bikes, the road rules are a bit wacky.
Wow - very interesting - I love looking at properties ps 20:55 the cupboard you broke - that is my apartment the invoice is in the post!! lol - got to say with the visa situation and the prices Cambodia seems like a great option for nomads - each property got better - the last was amazing but the one with the pool was great and nice price - I love the low-rise element - uninterrupted views - whats the story on foreign land ownership there?
Haha! Can we just bring you the money when we come visit? Easier than wiring money from Cambodia to Thailand… maybe? Some great choices out there. Something for most people! Expect for people who don’t like stairs… then you’re in trouble! That’s a great question and something we are looking into now so we can share it! Thank you 🙏
Please give details about the neighborhoods: how many minutes walking from a supermarket? How far from the town center? etc, etc. If they're 10 miles from the center --not so interesting.
What a good video - onya Sarah - definitely value there with those rentals and just the vibe & how chilled life is in Siem - hopefully some new subs will get you over the 2K - enjoyed it - well done F & N
It’s a special city which I think will see some pretty great growth in the coming years for expats. We have broken 2K! Yewwwww! Happy days! Thanks Ant! 🙏🙏
Sarah, wow, you did a great job on this vlog. Also, i have to add Franc as well, or else hell, fall out with me 😜😂😂. It shows that with this kind of input, people can get an understanding between Thailand and Cambodia, the pluses, and the minuses. Yes, Cambodia housing is cheap and very nice. I'm not saying that Thailand doesn't have that, but it's up to the individual preferences. I haven't been to Cambodia but will visit in the near future. For me, i fell in love with Bangkok within a week and a half due to the beautiful surrounding tall buildings, transportion, the hustle and bustle, the street food and the list goes on and on. But over all it individuals preference Thanks, guys, for this video.👌👏👍🙏🙏
Thank you Jason! Hahaha nah Franc will be ok 😂 I think it’s great to have the comparison between Thailand housing and Cambodian, each place has its positives and negatives. We love Thailand & we love Cambodia! I love Bangkok but it’s not Francs cup of tea 😂 Siem Reap is a good vibe for us 🙏❤️😊 Please give Annie a big hug for me!
These are great and lovely places for the price. You pay extra in Thailand for the Sea and infrastructure, which Cambodia is missing. Still love the places with the pools. They are a real bargain and you can still travel over to Thailand on the cheap. Bang up job you 2.
That is true, if living in places like Jomtien and what not. Infrastructure is definitely not where Thailand is, but can completely appreciate based on recent history in Cambodia. It's all about preference really and there are definitely pros and cons to living in each location/ country. We do miss the beach terribly though if we're honest! Thank you kind sir!
And so thankful they did. There’s plenty of land around that can be built on. Hate seeing high rises everywhere and the congestion it causes. Siem reap has it right in our books!
From Joan in Roswell, New Mexico, USA. The bathroom next to a kitchen are not at all to my liking. The video has to be watched a couple of times, due to the overwhelming echo and too many people walking around and speaking at the same time. Camera moving too fast.
Thank you . Your comparison with Thailand is not fair and correct. You are in Siem Reap. So are you comparing it with Bangkok? Go just over the border to Surin and Buriram and make true comparison.
I’m sorry each to there own but Seam Reap? wants you seen Angkor! what’s left? irs a shit hole, middle of nothing? Ok I haven’t been there for years, I just don’t know why any one would live there if you not involved in archaeology, working in that field
Air conditioning here in Cambodia seems to be a real big hit and miss. Some are perfect while others feel like they do barely anything. Finding a place with good fans is always a good idea 🙏
Unit on top floor for $350 month is outrageous, as ya gotta haul ur sorry arse up 4 flights of stairs, in 100% humidity, + we all know heat rises, therefore your automatically gonna be consuming at least 45% more kWh of electricity, that's pretty expensive in Cambodia at 25 cents a kWh, so that dam 4th floor is gonna be soaking ya for $90 month alone on electric 🔥 $350!!! It's worth half that low season for say 3 month lease.... If you pay 2 months security, you should have SIMP tattooed permanently to your forehead, obviously no brain's 😂 There's a string of other items that you didn't point out, but I'm not gonna write them all down cuz afterall I ain't getting compensated to do so, but you are by your viewers, sub's on UA-cam revenue

Thanks Sean! It’s real estate agent Sarah coming out 😂
Such a lovely comment & you completely made my day! 😊🇰🇭
How high is that ferris wheel ? They don’t want you to get a free view of ankgor wat from your balcony !!
Thanks for posting. Love the channel. Retiring to Siem Reap in 2 months !!!
That’s exciting! Siem Reap is gorgeous & 2 months will go quick ❤️
Best of luck with the move 🙌🏽🇰🇭
You're in the best spot right now, 2024 most popular country
It’s an awesome country ❤️
Great apartment options and amazing deals.
We agree!
THE LAST PLACE I SAW IN ANOTHER PERSONS VLOG 👏👏👌🤔 ALL IN ALL THE APARTMENTS ARE FAIRLY REASONABLE SARAH👌😋👍
Oh really? It's situated in a pretty sort after area for expats so perhaps that's why. Not a bad cross section of what you can get for your coin here. Thanks for watching and the comment, it's much appreciated Kim 🙏❤️
Great information siam reep looks a nice place.thank you for showing all those properties
Beautiful city. Our pleasure. Thanks for watching and commenting! Appreciate you! 🙏❤️
I’d like a one bedroom with a maids bedroom
Glad you are having fun in Siem Reap. The bonus apartment was on La Pax Lane. Happy travels.
Ah thanks mate! Are you the charming fella we met while out with Sean?
@@franclyspeaking hello again. If you are still in Siem Reap, check out the Cultural Park near the big ferris wheel. Interesting and fun.

Small bedrooms are glorious tho, saves alot on AC cost! 👌
That was the point the real estate agent made. Great point!
Wow! Chill places!!

The map of the neighbourhood comes up on the screen, you’re welcome to pause the video & see what is around the area on the map. 😊
Siem Reap is best city to retire. Everything is still cheap compare to most South East Asia countries. Love Siem Reap, never get tired of visiting it.
So far I feel we would agree both whole heartedly!

wow, good value
Definitely 😊
I like the third one most, but I would live in all of them.
Very nice choice!
Greetings... Brillant review of current Siem Reap apartments, though I'm sure they rented fast! Kind Regards 😉
Hello! Thank you, I’m sure they did too 😊 I hope so anyway!

Great video👍🏽
Thank you! 👍
It’d be nice if u could check the water pressure and the water heater
Good points! Will be something to consider in future videos!
I know in The Philippines, Thailand & Cambodia the Ask Price is ALWAYS flexible
what percent off can normally get off 10% 20% ??
Thanks, no elevator.
Siem Reap city governor ban high rise building. if Cambodia governor not ban high rise Siem Reap city maybe hundreds skyscraper looklike Phnom Penh.
And so thankful they did. There’s plenty of land around that can be built on. Hate seeing high rises everywhere and the congestion it causes. Siem reap has it right in our books!
❤Nice video
Thanks 🤗
Very nice vlog.
Thank you 😊
When you speak about dollars, are they US or Australian dollars ??
US dollars
Make sure you read the ne Thai visa start Saturday 1 June 60 day on arrival
👌🙏
Hey - you have Sir Frugal in the vid 👌👌😂😂😂
Frugally wandering in the background 😂😂

And Sean!
Yes, he’s a good friend of ours 🙌🏽
Overpriced from others I’ve seen. Should be 200 a month on the first few ones. Still a bit overpriced on all of them.
no studios available ?
Plenty around the area, staying in one now. Check it out on our other channel, Aussies in Angkor for a tour and pricing.
In Thailand you have a different lifestyle and more convenience, not really a fair comparison
You have to say how many stairs!!!
Elevator????? What floor? 1? 2?
❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Thank you .

How are the insects in Cambodia? Does everything want to kill you like in Australia?
There’s some flies kicking about now, but nowhere near the level of Australia. Haven’t encountered any killer animals here… yet.
The locals have been eating a lot of insects 😂
I’m sorry each to there own but Seam Reap? wants you seen Angkor! what’s left? irs a shit hole, middle of nothing? Ok I haven’t been there for years, I just don’t know why any one would live there if you not involved in archaeology, working in that field

Pretty much all visas change today
What changed with the visas?
