My question is simply this: 'Where on earth have you gone???' Still subscribed and still waiting, just in the hopes that you might post something someday...🤞
I now identify as a mushroom and will return in the autumn 😉 🍄 I joke, I am coming back very soon and will be bringing regular content again! I'll answer your question in my next video but I'll also be covering it in much more detail the video after that 😁
Delighted to see your making a comeback! I regularly check in the hopes of seeing some new updates. My question is one youve probably answered before. I've got myself a van, actually bought it last year. Beginning the conversion next week 😊 ive wanted to give it a go for years now and have been woking towards buying the van. But now that ive bought it im fucking scared! I work 4 days a week so would need a reliable place to park. I would love to just jump in head first and move into the van. But the fear and what ifs are so overwhelming! Im in ireland and worry about the rain/cold. How did you overcome the fear?? Because at the minute im finding it pretty impossible. Do i just go for it and hope for the best? Sorry for the huge unnecessary backstory 😂 Looking forward to your next vid!
That is so sweet to hear that you check in, that means a lot to hear, thank you! This question requires a lot of attention and I will be sure to answer it in full in my video. But for now I would say if you weren't scared then you'd be irrational. It's completely normal to feel scared. I would say don't fear vanlife but instead use that energy to define the areas in which you need to feel secure in before you can take the leap then make sure that you have the answers to those. My advise would always be to trial it. If you have a van then take some trips away in it, see how you feel, see what vulnerabilities come up and how you could address them :)
@@TheWoodlandNomad Watching your videos makes me realise that it's definitely doable for me. So thank you for that! Cheers for answering my question. A lot of the fear is around being on my own and finding suitable park ups. I'm in Galway (Ireland) and they don't love campers here 🤣 So I think finding reliable spots now before I take the leap would be a pretty solid plan. Looking forward to your new vid ☺️
Definitely spend some time finding a selection of spots you can hop between, it'll help knowing you can move to another if you feel uneasy for whatever reason 😁
Yay, you're back 🎉 Great to see you are well , some of us subscribers have been worried don't you know! 😊 My question is foraging related, hope thats ok; Where did you learn about fungi, are you self taught or did you go on courses? I'm good with wild plants but when it comes to fungi i lack confidence. Just wondering what you would recommend? Kay ✌️
Aww thank you Kay, that's very sweet. I'm alive and well 😁 Of course that's ok, I'm always happy to talk about foraging and look forward to answering that in my Q&A video ☺🍄
When you move from place to place in the UK do you already have places in mind to park overnight, do you always do your research beforehand or do you kind of wing it? Because I know there’s campsites/campervan sites dotted all around, but I’m so confused about the laws around overnight parking in the UK when you aren’t on a campground, especially when google says there’s no specific law that strictly forbids it
Great question and it deserves a video in itself really as I've picked up some tricks over the years. I'll answer it in my video soon but it's certainly a balance of knowing the area, winging it and researching through Park4night and google maps 😁 I've yet to need a campsite and never had problems with the law (been moved on by police once but they were kind).
@@TheWoodlandNomad That’s awesome, especially that last part, plus I guess campsite costs could really add up depending on the area, I’m keen to learn about this stuff as you’re literally living my dream!! 😭
@pauledwards8658 6 minutes ago Hey You 😊, I’ve only recently come across your channel & have been catching up on your ‘Older Ones’…. Have to say BRILLIANT BRILLIANT BRILLIANT 👍. Sad you don’t post more regularly. You Foraging Knowledge is Vast & well presented. So question- What part of Scotland are you based ?. Do you travel further afield ? What’s your plans for the next few months ? & any ‘Wish list or Bucket List’ targets ? Ok ok more than 1 question 🤷🏻♂️
Thank you for commenting Paul 😁 I'll be sure to answer your questions in my next video but I wanted to drop a comment saying thank you for your kind words and also welcome aboard 😃 💚
How good to see you a real random question did you get your tooth sorted out it looked so painful... a fun question what is your go to music. Hope you are well 💜
Thank you! Feels good to be coming back. I am ready 🙏 It's in progress shall we say haha. It's still in my face for now. I'll update you in my video though 😁 Oh wow, going to have to think hard on the music one, so many genres 🎶 🤔
I wish I had the space to keep my last van, loved it to bits. But I guess it's better being on the road giving someone else adventures! Aye I've got a few videos in the works so should be back soon enough. I'm well thank you and family are happy and healthy 🙏 I hope you're doing well mate 😁
