A few additions/minor updates: - Clicking block, but failing to block anything will automatically put you at -1 block disadvantage (new update) - Soft blocking takes priority over guard breaks. This means if your opponent blocks, but fails to parry an attack, any guard break that hits will not break his or her block. - Some moves are punishable on block, meaning you will not be actionable even if you hit/use a free cancel. Uppercut is a good example of this. If you use uppercut on an opponent who is blocking you will not become actionable when they are, even if you used a free cancel. - Zephyr has a both a true grab hitbox and a fake grab hitbox, so it could reasonably be considered a true grab (it's the inner hitbox) - Try-Catch is also a true grab (idk how I forgot about that lol) Let me know if there's anything else!
Keep in mind that some moves do not (currently) auto adjust correctly! If a move doesn't look like it will parry, move the slider around a bit to check!
One thing to note on guard breaks, if you perform a guard break and would otherwise break their guard; your attack will be soft blocked if the opponent gets hit and blocks something else first, such as a projectile or thousand cuts. This causes great great pain to me as a cowboy main
It may be a case of this: (check the pinned comment for other things I forgot to mention) - Soft blocking takes priority over guard breaks. This means if your opponent successfully blocks an attack (like a projectile), but fails to parry, any guard break that hits will not break his or her block.
oh shoot thaaats what the ~4f thing was, I thought it was saying that's what their move was if it was a fighting input.. like, 623A for example. really helpful to know it's the time it comes out roughly
Yep! Sometimes moves are active for several frames (which is why ~ is used) or can have their timings changed through various means. In future updates you will be shown the first frame a move hits in the prediction menu (which is also the timing your parry needs to be set to).
yesssss I would have put that in if I had made the video like two days later. Somehow Yomi has a way of making all of my videos completely inaccurate immediately after release... But thanks for the support!
it's basically a fighting game but broken down into the individual moves you can make. it's sorta turn base, but just imagine if your could play a fighting game and pause to think what your opponent might do next. that's yomi hustle
@@Weimo727 read my comment again. at 2:51 in the video, the narrator says "he or she". I am advising to say "they" in the future because it's less words and more inclusive. and to others, this has nothing to do with grammar (what the narrator said is grammatically correct)

this man demolished me and then told me to check his yt to get better at the game, huge respect + actually informative video
Pro tip: Selecting an opponent's(melee) move then choosing block after will automatically adjust the parry timing for you.
Great video btw!

I'm rooting for that scott cawthon cube head guy
Greetings from Kazakhstan. Good pitch and great theme, thanks for the video, good luck with that!
TRY-CATCH is also a true grab now
it's being changed in the next update but this is currently a mistake, thx for pointing it out
@@whimsnum Is that so? How strange.
Great video and straight to the point. subbed
banger video :3
Damn, you're quick! Thanks for watching!
Guard breaks were always so confusing. Sometimes, they just don't break guard when it's not a parry.

@@anthonynguyen1749 i've started playing the free version and i have no clue what i'm doing but it goes crazy
thx
good video, though instead of saying "he or she" you just say "they"
Grammar police be like
who cares
Appropriate grammar still
Bro, they/them is also a pronoun that can be used for all gender
If you want to be a grammar teacher go learn some basic first
