Yep because both the toothpaste and T-cut work by removing a little paint from the car and flattening it out. So the scratch is gone, not just concealed. If the scratch is too deep, it won't work.
Impressive results! If the scratches weren't 100% gone, that is still great temporary solution in case someone uses a key to draw/write something inappropriate on a car. That could make the drive home little less embarassing.
Neat idea, when i saw the gell toothpaste i didnt expect it to work but you proved me wrong😗😗😙I was diving in the Maldives once and one of the ithe divers scratched his fish eye lense on some coral. He found some Brasso on the boat and managed to polish the scratch out after about 2 hours. Cost of replacing the lens would have been £2000 gbp, cost of Brasso, a few pence. One word of caution many modern optics have a special coating and this sort of polishing could ruin the lens (case in point gopro)
I tried to rub some toothpaste on my car's scratches and man, it worked. I just don't know if it will wear out if it happens to rain or something but i just saved a lot of money because of you! Hats off to your videos man. Thanks!
It should be permanent because it works by taking a fine layer of paint off the car. T-Cut goes the extra step of including a colored pigment to try fill in any deeper scratches. That's why it's better to use the right colored T-cut for your car.
Tried this on my blue Vauxhall, the scratches are 'slightly' less visible but still there. Basically as I see it, toothpaste acts as a mild abrasive, like a watered down Tcut that's all. It depends how much it is scratched, and what finish you are happy with.
Immense this video is mate. I have a diamond black BMW that I recently took delivery of. But in hindsight, black is not the colour to have, even if it does look sexy, the little scratches from just rubbing up against a little twig or something seems to scratch it easily, and it shows. I am going to try this toothpaste first, because ultimately, if I took my motor to a bodyshop, they would probably charge me £300 to remove them, and to be honest, I think that is a con. The toothpaste idea is really mental. How does it do this?. Makes you wonder what it is your brushing your teeth with.
Good video, toothpaste does work well, as does more expensive remedies but a word of warning, this only works on surface scratches, if the scratches are very deep and you rub through the clear coat to the base coat you will never get it to shine again and will have to repaint, a way to test this is to spray some wd40 on the scratches and if all disappear then you will be able to rub them out with the toothpaste or scratch remover, by the way wd40 won't fix it , cause text time you wash the car it will be as bad as ever.
I doubt it's going to happen. Aside from the fact that it's quite expensive, a lot of recent high-value items from CDRKING have been very low quality so I'm taking a break from cd-r king until their next batch of goodies.
I am watching this while scrolling down for other videos then I said "wait this dude sounds like Gadget Addict" then I scrolled up to see who this video belongs to and yes it's you 😁😁😁 watching all the way from Milan Italy 😁😁😁
this and pretty much all toothpaste based vids on scratch removals should be accurately portrayed and described as smudge removal not fakin scratches..... dafuq
Maybe. I'm really not sure where they came from but considering how close motorbikes get, it's quite possible. I was kinda annoyed at first but then I reminded myself that getting upset about it won't make the scratches disappear. Fortunately they came out easily :)
just a update on the toothpaste scratch remove, yesterday morning I on the place that works well but unfortunately the afternoon rain I think it washes them off... and now I bought a T-Cut...
Thanks for the toothpaste tip. Worked a treat.Reckon it has saved me €200 on a hired car scrape charge!
Understood....
Replaced all my toothpaste with T-Cut for that Hollywood smile.
Hilarious comment , you should be on the stage !
"Car minty fresh" 👍
Did you try washing it with water after on the toothpaste part?
+BanJo yep after I shot this video I gave all the areas another blast of t-cut and then hosed it down with water. Looks great :)
How about the toothpaste does it still fix the scratch you demonstrated after hosing down with water?
Yep because both the toothpaste and T-cut work by removing a little paint from the car and flattening it out. So the scratch is gone, not just concealed. If the scratch is too deep, it won't work.

Does the T-cut work for any car colour? And how long did you have to leave the toothpaste on before wiping it off?

Wow lucky guy! Well worth the 2 hours of elbow grease!
I tried to rub some toothpaste on my car's scratches and man, it worked. I just don't know if it will wear out if it happens to rain or something but i just saved a lot of money because of you! Hats off to your videos man. Thanks!

Gadget Addict Okay thanks. Where did you buy that T-Cut?
I think it was either from Handy Man or Ace Hardware.
Gadget Addict okay man. Thanks so much!
Is T-Cut any good for cleaning teeth ?
🤣
yes...clean yr teeth make all the stains disappear
I had no idea that toothpaste did a good job for fixing the scratch car.
Tried this on my blue Vauxhall, the scratches are 'slightly' less visible but still there. Basically as I see it, toothpaste acts as a mild abrasive, like a watered down Tcut that's all. It depends how much it is scratched, and what finish you are happy with.
Hi mate, just a quick question,
Would the toothpaste be effective on dark grey paintwork? Cheers
Immense this video is mate.

Can you review the WenPod SP1+ gimbal by CD-R King? Thanks.

I want to see swirl marks
How bout scratches in cp?
It might work. It depends on the specific material.
THat's why we are losing our teeth imagine how many times we brush our teeth in a day the toothpaste will surely finish them off before we get old 😂😂😂
this and pretty much all toothpaste based vids on scratch removals should be accurately portrayed and described as smudge removal not fakin scratches..... dafuq
Very helpful thankyou
GOOD STUFF DUDE
They arnt scratches they are marks if there was scratches it would take longer than this
i will try on my bmw thanks bro
bro I had lots scratch I did what u did its works thanks very much
+Jaafar Ahmed awesome :) I'm glad to hear it worked out for you.
With toothpaste it's best to use white but leave it on for 5 to 10 minutes then wipe off but it's best just to use tcut
maybe for scratch from the motorcycle
Maybe. I'm really not sure where they came from but considering how close motorbikes get, it's quite possible. I was kinda annoyed at first but then I reminded myself that getting upset about it won't make the scratches disappear. Fortunately they came out easily :)
Any Kind of Toothpaste
+PrinCass Jared 228 TV yep I don't think the brand or type makes much difference. The cheaper the better since it's just going on the car.
Gadget Addict it would work better if you used the white one since it's more abrasive. I'm an actual expert on toothpastes.
Good buddy
You r awesome
Good stuff
Thanks
great! I will try it on my van :)
I tried it earlier and it works but only for light scratch deeper ones can't...
just a update on the toothpaste scratch remove, yesterday morning I on the place that works well but unfortunately the afternoon rain I think it washes them off...
