Another fantastic video Lone! Watching your videos has inspired me to start my Platycerium journey! I now have three Platycerium Ridleyi! Hope you could make a video to show us how to propogagete the plant through spores!
That full moon photo at 4:09 is my full moon I posted on multiple Facebook posts! But I'm happy to let you use it. 😀 I didn't know silver salmon is a full moon TC. Now I know, similar with Rydeen and Ginka TC with different names from mother.
Hey!!! Thanks for telling me!! I didn't even know who is the owner of the particular P. Full Moon, such a beautiful plant you have!!! Thank you so much for watching !
Hi..Thanks for the info, appreciate it very much..👍🏻..Actually, Im a newbie for this Platy's eorld..This is the 1st time I heard about TC & OC..Just wonder, in terms of the market prices, is this things, will affect the price differences (for the same size) & is it a serious collecteor will always prefer OC rather than TC itself (for a quality, long term collection purposes etc),, or they actually dont mind, which & which one?..tq sir...hope you will success in the future..✌🏻😁
Hi! Thanks for your comment. Yes, the TC plant will be relatively cheaper than OC, since the propagation comes in scale and lower the price compared to OC propagation through a single mother plant only. As for the comparison of OC and TC plants, it is very much a subjective and personal preference answer. I do not mind getting TC Platy into my collection too. Also, I do buy OC plants from certain sellers and growers as a way to show our support and as a token of appreciation for their creation too!
TC of course can produce a lot of plants in short time. But when a mature OC plant produce spores.... it makes it also massively available. Or am I missing something?
Thanks for the input! Yes, Sporeling is a way to reproduce beautiful Staghorn too. But certain collectors want the exact same form of the plant they're collecting, hence the Sporeling plants might not have the same traits from the parents tho. But nevertheless, I grow many platycerium Sporeling too, they're full of surprises!
@@aloneinoasis Very true... see the same in Aroids-collecting. The problem is... as You already mentioned.. Weaknesses are also (copied). Thanks for the reply!
Yes!! That's correct! But Platycerium OC is a way to cultivate different hybrids plants too. It is a way to show genuine support to growers and cultivators in the horticulture markets.
Being a tissue culture practitioner, I see a lot of hybrid vigour and plant look more lush and healthy and robust . Thanks for sharing the vedio
Thank you for watching!

What type of lights do you use for your indoor Platycerium?….and do you prefer a particular colour spectrum combination? 👍🏼
I'm using 36KW full spectrum grow light for my Platyceirum indoor.
Love your platy contents, but i hope the pacman has a better enclosure, and that the glass tank is only for filming purposes
Thanks for watching ! Ofcourse the glass tank it’s only for filming purposes. They’re well taken care at my house 😆

@@cajbrg no problem!!! Thank you for your input ! And happy gardening !
Doesn't TC put less pressure on the species to grow in the wild without being poached and smuggled?
