I bought a cheap 12 inch dirtbike rim and was limited on options for sprockets. I'm running at 10t clutch with a 41 rear sprocket. Thing gonna go 60mph but take minutes to get there. Probably burn the clutch in the process.
I have a freshly built engine 265 cam billet rod aluminum flywheel 26 lb springs but only hitting 50mph I think I’m reving around 7,000 rpm but not sure if it’s my ratio could I run a 18t clutch with a 40t rear sprocket to gain some speed
It is because that gear ratio is way too low. For instance, my clutch was burning at 40/12 = 3.333 ratio and I only weigh 160lbs. You are trying to do a 4.2 ratio and you may weigh more than me so that may be your issue. Try lowering the teeth on the 14t to a 12 but it also could very well be another issue that is causing this to happen
Man that was an excellent tutorial! I’m sure you have helped a ton of riders out there. Well done. Thanks!
Thanks!

@@JulDeeMotorSports ok thank you
@@JulDeeMotorSports sorry it actually a 44t sprocket what clutch should you got should i still get the 10t
what gear ratio are you running currently, what is the top end looking like?

What would the front sprocket change?
nothing really? most bikes will typically only have a 12T and a 10T depending on what size chain you are running
My predator jerks back and forth after I put on the 14 clutch and the 60 tooth sprocket an I changed it back to 65 an still does it I’m so confused

Good explanation.
