Did you have any problems using an impact for the flywheel

Is that a light bulb or a speaker or a horn that you've got attached to your engine

Hey man, I just finished building my 212 hemi it has a billet rod, flywheel, flat top high compression piston, .010 hg and vm22 carb. When I hit maybe half throttle the engine bogs out and stalls. I tried adjusting the carb but doesn’t help much. I have a stock gas tank and no fuel pump. Could the issue be I need an external fuel pump? Or rejet the carb. It has a 130 main jet and 16 pilot

@@Wab2007 hmmm if the motor starts up and runs fine until half throttle the engine itself is fine, like valve lash and timing etc. it’s definitely a carb, fuel, air or spark issue? What does your spark plug look like?

@@Guido19 it’s weird the spark plug is always fouled. I put it in a fuel shut off line it’s almost as if the carb is running lean but it still gets dirty. I might try moving the needle to the middle setting?

@@Guido19 so I got it running good spark plug is good color and it runs great but still kind of bogs at full throttle

@@Wab2007 hmmm. It could possibly be lean when idling or revving a little or it could be rich at idle or revving a little. It could also be lean or rich at wide open throttle too. What I would do is completely clean the plug and probably put a new one in. And put it back in. Start the bike and let it idle for a little then shut it off and check the plug. See if it is black or tan or white etc. then I would make adjustments to the idle jet or idle screw. Then clean it and try it again till the color is perfect. Repeat it again and rev the motor a bit and see what color, clean, make adjustments etc, then ride the bike and go wide open throttle then kill the motor and check the plug, clean it make adjustments etc. that way you will be able to see if you need to change the main jet or pilot jet or air fuel screw. And that is the most accurate way of testing the jets without a exhaust probe for a fuel air mixture gauge

@@Wab2007 the spark plug should be a nice light tan-brown-a darker brownish color. You don’t wanna have it white cause that will cause your motor to run way hot and you will destroy it and you don’t wanna have it to black cause that will burn fuel to much and have carbon deposits everywhere and it will smoke too.

@@GeorgeWashingtonknows hmmm very very weird. Only thing I could think of is a defective flywheel or either bad spark plug. It might look good but I would check it anyways with a new one. I had a problem like that where the ceramic on the plug was slightly cracked and it wasn’t sparking. Or also try it with the stock key way. Possibly with the aftermarket keyway the timing might be too advanced as the flywheel already has a advanced timing
