Last year, I stayed in Nimman for a month, before running the Chiang Mai half marathon while working remotely. I loved it. I trained in the reservoir every other morning, tried every coffee shop I could and have the best coffee in the world, great breakfast places, they had a week of outdoor jazz festival by the mall. A short grab or mini bus drive to the old town or markets. I surely do it again if I have the opportunity. Chiang Mai is the perfect scale, while not a huge metropolis like Bangkok enough to keep you busy and interested for a long time and being a university city, tons of cultural things going on. Friendly people. Love the place.
Cool review Ryan, interesting to see why you changed your mind. I loved exploring the small mountain towns around chang mai, but i'm sure that has all changed now. keep rocking it!
Nice! We stayed in The Nimmana for a week and loved it 🙂. Our apartment looked identical to the one you stayed in. That was back in 2020 - immediately before Covid struck. Would love to go back to Chiang Mai.
Super helpful video! I love visiting Chiang Mai but didn't realise Nimman was the spot for digital nomads! Are there any other neighbourhoods that you'd consider living in in Chiang Mai?
Well I never. How did I miss you kick started the videos again. What a Western transition. In this changing world where working online is a growing trend I can imagine while the 'young' generation travel and live abroad. The advantage of UA-cam is that 'oldies' like me get to see how the "other generation'" now live. My travels are somewhat more traditional. Nice to see you sharing your videos again. 🙏🇳🇱🙋♀🇳🇿
Thank you! It’s been a while, so I’m sorry for the delay in posting! I have about 9 more Thailand videos to edit, then it’ll be some new adventures after that 🗺️
Wow I didn’t know you knew so little about Thailand, Chaing Mai is no where near the second largest city in Thailand it sits about the 7th largest city in Thailand. Apartment looks great a little overpriced since no swimming pool and noise location but hey you got a great deal :)
Chiang Mai's designation as the second-largest city in Thailand is in terms of its "urban area". By population it comes in at 7th, but CM is the second largest single built up area in Thailand. But thanks for the smart-arse comment about my Thailand knowledge 😂

Couldn't agree more!
We missed your videos Ryan 😊 We enjoyed this one, Chiang Mai is way cheaper than Bangkok, it would be the perfect place if not for the smoky season!
So true, smoky season is the one bad thing about CM
I've missed your videos, Ryan. I'm glad to see you guys back! ☺
That’s very kind of you to say, thank you!
He's BACKKKK!!! Also, cheers for the BetterHelp code man! 🙌🙌
Welcome back Ryan.
Nice condo.
Thanks Michael, there’s more to come. Hopefully you won’t have to wait so long next time!

@@OneShotAdventures I know the feeling. We were in the UK in May. Posted my last video on Thursday. 😂😂😂
Great space and what a cool neighborhood! And compared to US costs, that’s super inexpensive 😂. It’s a steal!!!
Agreed! Less than half of what we would pay in the UK too
how do you rent direct @ nimmana and not using airbnb ? did you just ask the front desk or something ?

I am curious how these workers get visas to work in Thailand. I have a marriage visa but getting a work visa is tough.

Mass tourist hell
wow $500 per month with all that..
Chiang Mai is very affordable, even in a popular area like Nimman
You said you wouldn't stay there again: why?
- Thanks.
Would try other areas in Chiang Mai, that's all
