    All the nice words and right answers can not lay a hand on the truth. But some, in a troubling situation, are begging to hear words they can accept as sufficiently convincing that they can lie to themselves.

    The fates of the cadets:
    -Wesley Crusher: travelling space and time with the Traveller
    -Sito Jaxa: killed by Cardassians during a mission
    -Nick Locarno: created a rogue fleet and killed in explosion of a Genesis device

  • @a1mi551
    @a1mi551 Рік тому +3

    One thing I have learned is that being honest and always telling the truth is stupid. You don’t have to lie and steal but a lot of times “taking personal responsibility” will destroy your life. I’m not interested in the law more Justice. We don’t get that here

    • @rafsolo
      @rafsolo Рік тому +9

      This is a different situation. A man died. They're falsely putting the blame on a dead man who can't defend himself. It's like spitting on his grave. If you watch the next clip, you'll see the father devastated and blaming his son for his own death

    • @NACLGames
      @NACLGames 9 місяців тому +1

      @@rafsolo I don't think it has to be a different situation. It's also my anecdotes versus the first comment, but in my experience, not taking responsibility eventually destroys both the person themselves, and often takes things around them with them. "Responsibility" obviously means there was something or someone in your care, whether it be a person, object, or concept. You failed that, whatever it was. It's funny to talk about justice when one is only concerned that said failure will "destroy your life". But practically speaking, it tends to anyway. If nothing else, it justifies further shirking of responsibility. One day, that person will have to pay the piper. Possibly for something worse, as taking responsibility for something often means learning to avoid such an outcome again. Without acceptance, there's no learning, and it WILL get worse. Someone who steals candy when they were a kid but never owned up, even as an adult, could find themselves shoplifting, cheating or engaging in things they've mentally justified. It doesn't need to be a different situation, because eventually, there will be one that will.
