- In this EXCLUSIVE video, Andy discusses the LEAKED RE3 Remake Design Documents that he's had in his possession for around 2 years. It serves as an interesting look into the mindset of CAPCOM at the time of developing Resident Evil 3. Andy has more internal documents, so if you enjoy this breakdown video, like, comment and share if you want to see more!

Still breaks my heart that they intentionally wanted to trim up this game.
They wanted to speed through it so they can remake the money maker: Resident Evil 4. They know that it's where all the money is at.
@@blaqk_soul I still feel that with the proper care, RE3r could have been better received. In turn sold more copies.
Hands down if capcom announced director cut versions of Resident evil 2/3 Remake or as DLC’s I’d hands down pay for it I don’t get why they wouldn’t? They’d happily make DLC’s for resident evil 7/8 & make a knock of version of Dino crisis - Exoprimal (Dino Crisis + Destiny) then don’t see why they couldn’t I bet loads of fans of the Re2/3 remake would pay to play those games with the cut content somehow implemented back in
@@blaqk_soul Did you fail to grasp what the documents here outlined? It wasn't rushed, it was developed in 3 years.
@@mrpussinboots4252 still shit
It puts my mind at ease to finally confirm the Clock Tower was never meant to be in the game (though I truly wish they decided to put it in, I love that part of the original).
Also interesting that we were going to have Jill in the R.P.D. and more screen time for Ben! I wish we could've seen Jill interact more with Raccoon City characters, but at least we have the Kendo cutscene.
It hurts me to know that Jill could've had a cutscene talking with Marvin, or at least witness his injury at the hands of her teammate Brad, and we did not get any of that...
About Nicholai transforming, I love they decided to scratch that, he is a lot better as an evil human.
I would love to see those other documents, when are you making those videos?
with the design of the plaza, I'd love that Jill instead check the streets surrounding the clock tower to open the large gate...
Yeah, I'm happy they didn't kill off Nikholai like that. He is a very good antagonist with a lot of potential, even to be a main antagonist as Wesker
I have a sneaking suspicion about why Jill in the RPD was cut. Because they turned Uptown into a scripted cutscene sequence, that meant the RPD would've been the first explorable area of the game, which would've made people feel it was too much like RE2. So they skipped to Downtown, to make the first location different, and moved the RPD later.
Re 3 is my all time fav video game and I even liked re3 remake a lot but I was sad that it didn’t have more time and passion as re2 & now 4
Right there with you, I've never hated something I love so much. We got ripped off.
The game was outsourced.
RE3 remake feels like the most rushed game out of any of the RE engine games. That even includes RE7 and RE8 which is a travesty that Capcom cares more about a character with no face who dies after 2 games than Jill Valentine.
@@BenderDaOffenda It may feel rushed but in all actuality the game had a healthy dev window of 3/4 years which is standard practice for all RE engine titles.
@@mrpussinboots4252 Yeah and according to the docs in this video, apparently half of RE3 remake's dev window was spent on RE Resistance.
This game should have a free dlc or a remake again.... which would add the rest 70% of missing content.
Director's CUUUUTTTTTT
A dlc wouldn't change the structure of the game.
70%? Haha delusional. The remake is longer than the og
@@ahmadabdelmawla5405 the size does not matter :X.
bro i really wish for that still
they NEED to just redo the redo on this game. Its the only thing i genuinely feel they NEED to correct/remake. The city map being way more basic than the original. They need to make the city more like the labyrinth city of the original RE3. the multiple choices/multiple endings. the sections cut like the gas station, clock tower, cafe, the underground worm, the park. Let us have the original score, which was SUCH a good score. the new one is ok but give us the old as an option. the original ammo crafting was more varied than the basic one they gave us. give us the boutique costumes! make nemesis come and go based on your multiple choices! basically do a real remake, not this very linear game we got. And this is an OK game but a small fraction of what could have been.
39:53 - It's very obviously Wesker in the Resistance/Outbreakers concept art, since Andy failed to notice Wesker's face is used as the Mastermind icon on three different pages.
Those Nemesis designs are so cool and much closer to the original, and Jill going to the station... sigh, why capcom?
I have two problems with new design. The nose, obviously, looks silly. The teeth, with those baleen white, Tom Cruise center-tooth are just dumb. Why no skull-like original? You got it right first time...
They should do revisit for the cut content we all want
The way nobody wanted Resistance but everyone wanted an actual fully fleshed out version of RE3 remake smh capcom fumbled so hard
Honestly, thank goodness they obstacled Resistence, it was really boring and uninteresting. Btw, it would have been an insult to the Outbreak games calling this...."thing"....Outbreakers
They KNEW it was going to be an issue calling it Outbreakers... I'll bring this up in the next part.
@@BiohazardDeclassified 😲😲 this is getting just as intriguing as discovering Umbrella's secrets!!🧐🧐
33:44 Interesting ! I had a theory basically saying that Nicolai didn't die during Raccoon city destruction since he could have escape from injecting some "T" or "G" in his meat to survive.
Escaped in the second helicopter available with all Monitor's data. Umbrella would have took him away into the dungeons if anyone stupid enough inject themselves with two highly unstable viruses.
Besides Morpheus of course.
Yup, their approach to this remake was terrible from the jump. Super short, insanely linear, with an online mode that they only supported for a couple months. Mind boggling how they scrapped Nemesis' second form on top of changing the RPD section from being Jill's to Carlos'. Flat out braindead decision making by the dev team.
Absolutely loath how they handled this remake and it felt like such a betrayal that it crippled my love for the series as a whole.
'Make use of RE2 Buyers and RE Fans' Passion'
This is definitely just the cynic in me but that just screams 'Hey, word of mouth probably wont be super kind to this game, so we're really gonna have to rely on goodwill from RE2 and the series as a whole to move copies of this'
*On a side note, Uptown actually was 10-ish minutes, though that's being generous. It's the section after Jill's apartment up to meeting Carlos.
Same thing here my friend, I totally agree with you. What they did to this remake killed my spirit for future RE Games. I didn’t play 8 a year later due to the fact of the way they butchered 3.
They emphasized too much on stupid resistance. Bringing back the mercenaries would’ve been so much better if they want to really extend the shelf life of this game. That’s what the mercenaries do, they add replay ability to the re games. Until this day, I still play RE 4, 5 and hell even 6 mercenaries. This hurts my head and pisses me off even more. WE DID NOT WANT RESISTANCE!!!!!!!!!!!!!
lol yall taking this too hard
Re3 remake was outsourced to 3 different development studios; K2, redworks and MTWO.
RE2 remake fans deserved to get scammed for discounting the cuts real RE2 fans had to deal with.
some really interesting stuff. I always felt like they made a rushed version of re 3 to capitalize off of re2 hype and to try and get people hooked on re resistance to sell micro transactions. Resident evil 3 was one of my favorite re games wish they would have given it the same love and care as re 2 and 4 remake.
It wasn't rushed, did you not read what this video provided?
I didn't hate the RE 3 remake, but I wish it had been a bit better realized and slightly more balanced towards horror. I wish it would have had more open hubs that Nemesis would chase you in. The demo section was kinda the best part, if they had stitched the city together a bit more in that way it would have been amazing. That, and not cutting stuff. The base game was short, so having this game be even shorter was a real bummer. It should have had nothing cut, things reworked or reimagined sure, but no cuts. Having the clock tower there, and even a collectible file detailing it's history but then cutting it, was kinda like a slap to the face. But there's a lot they did well with, so I don't want to totally hate on it. Would love for M-Two to take this criticism constructively and get another chance with another remake or perhaps a new Revelations game. Also, I actually really liked Resistance. The progression just really didn't hold up in the long term, kinda locking new players out and forcing people to stick to one character or be underpowered. It also needed more support with maps and new characters, but at it's core it was really fun. It's a shame they didn't just fix and support that game instead of doing RE Verse. Really loved Resistance, but it was kinda set up for failure.
M-TWO was assigned to lead RE4remake and worked on the game as lead developers from 2018-2021. DEV1 (the team behind re2r) stepped in early 2021 and demoted MTWO to support team - so they've played a relatively huge role with RE4remakes development. Perhaps due to feedback from RE3r and capcom was dissatisfied with how development was going with MTWO in the hot seat, particularly because MTWO had planned to create re4 as a one to one rehashing of the original after the storm of criticism and backlash over re3remake, so the project was rebooted in 2020 and then again in 2021 when DEV1 took the reigns from MTWO.
How much was scrapped from MTWOS 2018-2021 RE4r build is anyones guess but in all liklihood the assets, models and environments they created are being used in the final product.
Lastly, Re3 remake wasn't solely created by MTWO; it was a joint effort between 3 development teams - K2, Redworks and MTWO.
Another video detailing what could've been in Resident Evil 3 Remake? Don't mind if I do
even if you argue and say that nothing was cut from the game, huge parts of what OG RE3 is was left out or otherwise completely ignored. Large portions of the game were on rails and super linear. No real puzzles, no real optional areas to explore, no mercenaries mode even though OG RE3 pioneered merc mode. Clock tower not in the game, the dead factory, the park, and Grave Digger fights. Tie ins to RE2? not really outside the two segments of the game where we go to the RPD and meet Kendo. Why NEST 2? why was there another secret lab in Racoon City? part of the game feels rushed and an asset flip. Make no mistake, RE2R is not off the hook either for this as there was plenty or reused assets from RE7 in that game as well and all the characters are the complete opposite of their OG counterparts. The biggest slap in the face with these remakes is that they are basically being treated as replacements for RE2 and RE3 and the original games are basically unobtainable (by legal means) unless you buy physical copies of these games or managed to have downloaded them from the PSN
I just finished res 3 platinum run,
I did inferno with no infinity weapon and no bonus items and let me tell you something,
Res 3 remake is easily one of the hardest res evils ever made!
The last 2 bosses are vertually impossible to beat without saving game on both battles beforehand!
That final nemmy fight ypur lucky to survive 10 seconds before your dead!
Absolutely solid
They can crank up the difficulty by adding health and dps to enemies as much as they want it does not make this remake any better but rather worse. This game suffered because they decided to disrespect the title and focus on a retarded sub par mini game called Resistance instead.
I love the game, but original was much better. Would like to see this game running at full potential. Still hope Capcom make a director cut edition for it
22:00 considering how the game turned out, it's quite a good thing there was no cross-play, the game was filled with cheaters on PC and the PC playerbase died for this reason, hence why it's lower than consoles. The game had a lifespan of 6 months until being abandoned for good, they left the game in a disastrous state. It's ironic to see that bit about Resistance with "long term attachment" and the streaming thing, because it never happened.
25:30 I mean the collab with Dead By Daylight happened way later after they abandoned Resistance, so they were done with Resistance. Considering 2021 was also the year Re:Verse (a completely different multiplayer game experience) was announced and supposed to be released, they just gave up with their own asymmetrical game, that's pretty much what it is. What killed Resistance right off the bag was that it was bundled with RE3, people were not even aware it even existed, it had no coverage.
Texas Chainsaw Massacre did the same thing but the other way around, already having Bubba in DBD gave enough interest for people to test the TCM game.
They made use of the fans passion. They took advantage of the fans 😢
I'd like to see more of this. Few interesting parts and interesting to see the clock tower was never going to be a part
They didn't omit the Playstation 5. Xbox One/S/X refers to the Xbox One S and Xbox One X, not the Series S/X. None of the current generation of consoles were out at the time of Resident Evil 3's release.
I think that document is fake. A pdf that was created by a remorse fan of what they wanted RE3R to be. A lot of stuff isn’t adding up; like how they were able to get screenshots of the game ahead of time. Or the screenshots they shown were the same screenshots of the released game version. If that is legit, shouldn’t there be any screenshots that are not from the released game version? A lot of misspelled words as well. Also, the developers of remake versions are Japanese. You said so yourself. Should be the document in Japanese?
I thought the same but the other documents in my possession relate to feedback on this document, but agreed it is fishy.
The document is real and was together with the 1TB of stolen data that the ramsoware group put on their website at onion
There's lots of images contained in this document that have never surfaced beforehand. And the details described in this video isn't a fans dream scenario at all, if that's the case why would the fan go to great lengths to depict the entire development process of RE3r with staggering accuracy with info privy solely to the internal devs of the game and secondly, if this was fan made of how they'd have wished the game played out, then surely they'd have included more areas I.E the clock tower. All the information held within this document came into fruition - with exception to Jill visiting the RPD, which was indeed planned at one stage of development, outlined in this video.
Sorry but you are fake
It looks fake to me as well. The wording, the inconsistency, the lack of details in areas look very unprofessional for a company like Capcom... That graphic with action vs horror is clearly fan made too. 😂
I prefer how Hunter Gamma looked in the concept art. The final design still looks freaky, but in way more of a “freak” way than a scary way. Concept design nicely balances intimidation and freakishness.
35:53 That middle image I thought was just a fan made image.
I wonder if it would be possible for modders to create a romhack using this sequence of events and in game assets, yeah you couldn't really do cuts scenes but you could add files that fulfill that purpose (I'm thinking specifically for Ben and the police station, find a file talking about Ben and info on umbrella, find him knocked out in his cell with a note about Ne-α parasite, nemesis finds you and chases you from cells to parking lot to uptown)
🦍 Andyi ftw
Andy on analysis
Beggy on Lore
😍👍
This is a fascinating look at the original intent of the devs, considering how the game turned out and public reception. Is there anything similar for RE8? That game, of all the resident evil games, feels the most like it's having a crisis of identity and it's clear if you look at a lot of the features that it was VERY different when they started development.
You reap what you sow. If you make absolute banger like RE2 Remake, and then rush RE3, you should expect that people won't be happy. It should have been given extra few months at least. "It's done when it's done".
I feel like a bit of an outlier when I say I prefer shorter games, so RE3 was perfect for me. But that's mostly because my life got really busy and I no longer have the same time for personal pleasures like I did in my younger days, so I guess demanding things to be 5-6 hours tops is a bit selfish. I actually enjoyed Separate Ways in the RE4 remake a lot because of that.
So much was cut😭
If they have continued the original plan…
Loved the video! Thank you so much for sharing this Andy ❤
still needs Mercenary Mode
The remake was just such horrendous storytelling and then add the fact that almost everything was cut but from this video
They never intended to remake re3. It literally was pitched to be an extremely loose adaptation with just “jill needs to escape nemesis, gets infected, gets healed.”
I know this video is 7 months old, but...
With the recent success of Separate Ways, I mean this would be a perfect time for Capcom to drop a $10-$20 story dlc for RE3, which finishes/flushes out the game. It's never too late. Respawn just revived the dead Titanfall 2!
Also, like I've always thought RE resistance/ RE reverse should've always been PVP modes for a bigger game. That being a co-op/PVE RE Outbreak. With full crossplay, bot support, etc. Even though RE3 is now 2 1/2 years old, if they dropped dlc, you know it would sell. And people who bought RE2 and skipped RE3 (because they heard it was unfinished/short) would hop in aswell.
These are wishful thoughts...
I just found out this channel exists how did I not know?!
Fairly new. It will be a home to content that is outside of the Scope of the main Residence of Evil page, featuring the ROE Twitch team mainly. Thank you for finding us!
I loved RE3 Remake for what they did with alm the characters, specially Jill and Carlos' relationship; but the lack of The Mercenaries Mad Jackal minigame is absolutely unacceptable
If Capcom wanted to make REsistance viable long term they should have put more effort in. By expanding the size of the maps and populating them with gradually respawning enemies, and getting rid of the arcade stages thing. Then build a series of fully explorable maps with a central narrative tying them together and one narrative for each map that acts as a diary for the survivors, the lore can be found in map or unlocked through text logs and after collecting a set of lore unlock survivor cutscenes.
Some examples of maps would be, the masion, the police station, a green house, the hospital, the college, the office building, the sewers, the amusement arcade, an underground lab, the cruiseliner, and so on. To establish a sense of continuity, Capcom could use the nonsense about biodomes from that godawful Anderson film, which would allow for the addition of new dlc survivors and maps and provide a exit in opening a door to the train station signalling the end of the match.
This might be a nitpick but instead of having a mastermind and a time limit, compel the players to solve a Resident Evil puzzle, such as the chess fuse puzzle, an emblem puzzle, repairing something or finding a specific zombie somewhere on the map that has a password to open the exit door.. All the while, the killer player plays as one of the Resident Evil's stalker enemies hunting the players, like in Dead by Daylight or any of its contemporaries, listening for footsteps, proximity chat, or shots being fired at mob enemies and following trails of dead enemies or blood left behind by players exploring the map. Since the stalker enemies are actually Umbrella products, it would be in keeping with series canon if they were customised for clients and tested in the field "for combat data" to help clarify the game's premise. Have the starting safe room for the players be an actual safe that locks and fills with gas after say three minutes in order stop players hiding in the safe room for the whole match.
Doing all that would make the rounds upwards of 30 minutes to begin with but players will widdle that down to 15 minutes within a month as they laern the maps and adjust to the game. But to ensure the game doesn't drag on forever, have a flat "infection" clock of 45 minutes to signal the end of the match. Explain it away in universe with a note explaining there is an inhibitor on the train between maps.
'Imhibitor on the train between maps'? Can you dumb it down for me?
@@mrpussinboots4252 If you'll excuse me for skipping over an explanation of the concept of an inhibitor. The suggestion of a "inhibitor on the train between maps" was simply an in-universe explanation for a game mechanic that would cause the infection clock to restart after each map so the next map doesn't start with the time the player finished the last map with. Or were you asking specifically about the inhibitor?
@@RidireOiche I'm asking what an inhibitor is - if you could so generously touch on and furthering that explain within the context of your comment, which you already took care of with your most recent comment.
@@mrpussinboots4252 Ah right. So within the context of my comment and the resident evil series, as you know, the majority of the series' viruses and parasites are designed to create BOWs, and with that comes the concept of failsafes.
They may have appeared elsewhere in the franchise, but the Netflix miniseries Infinite Darkness, which capcom considers canon, contains the most prominent example of inhibitors in the series, as they play a critical role in the narrative and the villain's machinations.
Spoilers for those who haven't seen the show yet, but Wilson uses inhibitors to keep Jason and his team, infected during the escape from Penamistan, on a short leash. The inhibitor hindered the onset of the infection and halted its progression. Jason and his team would have turned if he didn't have a steady supply of inhibitors.
@@RidireOiche Makes sense. I appreciate the thorough breakdown.
But I'm struggling with your terminology. You say 'train' is this a vehicle or train-ing?
Secondly was resistance merely a simulation to collect combat data?
Mods Extend the shelf life of these games Not online elements!
they should do a redux of this. Same game just add more of what was in the original and redo Nemesis. The city environment was very cool we can all agree.
I’ve been in Andy’s ROE twitch streams but I saw the link on his BHD pages, didn’t click on it right away and went looking for this on that channel lol.
Imagine we get a resident evil 7 & 8 remake in like 15 to 20 years 🧐
I love Remake 3. And the idea of trimming it from the start is proof they were smart enough to do that cause someone in management knew that RE4 was the game that would sale insanely well.
And they are right, the mainstream community now says Remake 4 is the best game ever.
Which makes me hate RE4 even more as its an overrated piece of shit that destroyed the series.
I remember when this game was announced the ransomware thing was going on. Then the covid lockdowns as well. There was a huge wave of rushed games that felt half baked that year. I've always felt like those 2 things were partially to blame in the end. At least they redeemed themselves with part 4 and the seperate ways dlc that just dropped.
3make had 3 years in the pan and the pandemic didn't disrupt development as the game was essentially complete at that stage.
Shure that this are real documents, looks strange and at the beginning you see images from the game itself and not artworks, thats a little bit strange.
You're incorrect, this documents explicitly outlines the entire dev process and features preciously unreleased images.
Why i am incorrect? I am not saying it is not true, only questioning it.
RE: Zero & CODE: Veronica Remakes give me hope for Outbreak or RE1 Remake 👀
the fact they already had on mind cutting so much content is such a disappointment like even an actual nemesis 2nd form, and replace for wildmutt if it was in the re universe
CRAPCOM!
It would have been so much better if they extended the game by another 3 hours. Add clock tower and the park and you have a great game.
They just needed to slow the pace and give us more puzzles and more time with walking Nemesis before her turns into a dog.
I can already see the error in the document. There are missing subtitles in Polish where Resident Evil 3 had such.
It may be possible that this was a draft or an early revision of the document.
Resident Evil 3 (2020) was a disaster and Capcom should have known not to outsource the game to M-Two.
Mtwo didn't direct RE3 remake, Redworks did. Mtwo only provided minimal support.
And all 3 teams who handles 3make all returned to help DEV1 on the main game of 4make on support - K2, redworks and MTWO.
Can you cut down on the “let us know in the comment section” please? I know you want engagement but I’m not here for other people’s opinions. Give us yours! My god.
This is James Barrow resident evil 3 remake is a lovable game it's really fun and I missed the clock tower the park clothing store the mercenaries mode and dead factory
Capcom saying "online elements will extend the shelf life of this title" is some of the least self aware, most moronic shit I have ever seen. The resident evil games are some of the most replayable games on the market, and have always been, as strictly single player titles. They don't need multi-player elements to be good, replayable, or sell a lot. Though obviously co-op story and mercs helps. Resistance was actually not a terrible idea from the jump, but the execution was completely botched, and specifically doing it INSTEAD OF adding core single player content like a proper Operation Mad Jackal was idiotic.
I'm a little late to this party and I'm sorry about 3mins into your video. I just couldn't do it. Yeah RE3 was my all time Favorite RE. Nemesis and HUNK my all time favorite characters. Look I wanna get vulgar on this topic both harshly against the hackers and capcom for undermining 2 great games. By now anybody can tell you what would have made RE3 great and what it was missing. However besides cut Content, complete removal of areas, horrible redesign, Stupid antics like the flame thrower and Carlos bad hair cut. I remember one particular just gross idea they made. That seriously made me think oh no they didn't just give up on this game they said. Yeah we really don't wanna do this but we're gonna. Pitch what's hip and popular know a days. Not a soul brought this up in reviews. The moment I saw the clock tower scene and afterwards realized there was no clock tower. I knew they didnt care. However it was that form Nemesis took. When I realized the game is ruined and yes they said hey let's copy and paste a fad pitched quick idea. That form he took was a monster hunter creature skeleton. A gimmick monster. Also MH was in reality capcoms real prized baby. At the time. I was holding out hope till that very moment. That all the things that were missing and what made Nemesis truly terrifying above every other BOW would still happen. Nope. They rehashed what they thought was popular and went on the dare of betcha we can't make this game quick. As for what would've have been Outbreak which if they just reset up the 2 originals on newer consoles. That would've been a God send. No they said hey DBD is what the kids want. Let's do that. No story, no character depth, no iconic scenes. Nothing. Capcom took a massive Sh** on what would've have been long time great games. Guess what the most horrible true outcome. They will never again try to RE make RE3 again. It's gone that's why I couldn't watch your video. I'm still in hope for a true Outbreak. Everyone would pay for a game of mini scenarios that can keep coming along with cosmetics in true coop survival horror fashion. Over and over again. I can't see why the won't grasp that. F RE7,8, 4 and possibly 9. That medieval hills have eyes shanty town mystical horror trope is done. Anyway sorry for the rant and not going into depth with my takes on this tragic permanent disappointment. Maybe in another life you guys.
Definitely drop the other 2 vids
36:54 seriously? Nemesis is just infecting them with some of his own tentacle arm shit this has nothing to do with RE4 las plagas which is found deep inside the mines under the Salazar castle in northern Spain. Stating those 2 things tie up somehow is just plain ludicrous and ignorant.
Sorry but ransomware attacks are no fucking excuse for giving us a bare minimum game at full retail price, especially when you turn around and sell it for near half off less than 3 months later during the steam summer sale.
My only takeaway from these documents is that Re3 as a remake was really an afterthought. They couldnt have cared any less about this game if they tried. They were all gung-ho for the online component no one wanted, and it feels like even THAT fizzled out when they realized that they couldn't make it a microtransaction storefront the way they wanted. Something else that happened during this game's development that the dude in the video didn't bring up? Was the fact that global governments were getting very close to stepping in to stop this predatory monetization bullshit that was getting shoved in EVERYTHING.
That's why you only get EXP Boosters and time reducers as the only two things you can physically buy with money from the online component.
How can we trust anything they've said about Resident Evil 4 when they've refused to tell us any of this prior or after the launch of this game? When they saw that fans weren't receiving the game well, they went radio silent. I can't outright trust Capcom anymore, because every time I do, I get burned.
The bottom line is RE3remake was outsourced to K2 studios and MTWO. Re4remake has DEV1 at the mains and MTWO working in a support role.
@@mrpussinboots4252 and honestly 4 remake looks good so far
@@ozwellespencer955 Why shouldn't it? Its been actively worked on one way or another since 2018. With an incredible amount of man power and funds.
Bruv capcom already made a pretty good remake in 2002. All they had to do was follow the formula of how to make a good remake.
Keep the old locations whilst adding new ones to extend the game, add some innovation, if changes are made they must be done to improve gameplay and realism.
RE3 was actually an extremely well made game its honestly just too short it feels like a vertical slice demo put together to prove a studios competence or an amusement park ride thats such a rush but over after just a few brief moments we honestly all just wanted more of what was offered it also didn’t help that they made changes from the more popular RE2 like no rag doll physics no stalker enemy mechanics & your inventory auto picks stuff & sorts it for you its like the game is literally rushing you hurry up & be done lol 🤣
Nobody cared about the online elements. But Capcom wants to get the COD crowd's attention instead of catering to their core audience. Yeah, who cares about single player horror fans, who capcom can thank for their franchises existence!
So basically, RE:3 was a marketing-driven decision using fan trust and nostalgia for classic RE3 with heavy emphasis on online streaming community. Tsk tsk. Figures. I liked the main game, but disappointed in all the wasted potential. (bigger city, clock tower, park, branching paths, random Nemesis encounters) tsk tsk…
It is not even market driven. It's just a shit made by developer doesn't have any grasp on making survival horror games. Honestly an indie team were better than this
why is there a second ROE channel?
Fairly new. It will be a home to content that is outside of the Scope of the main Residence of Evil page, featuring the ROE Twitch team mainly. Thank you for finding us!
5:57 thata xbox one s and xbox one x not the series
This game was barely above RE6 in quality. Such a shame.
Anybody got a link to download
I know my opinion doesn't matter to much but it really messes me up inside they wrecked this game. When I played the 99 version on release day I never have been that excited to play a game and to this day no game has given me that same feeling. I wish Capcom would of did this game right and fixed it. Even to this day. How tf did they get rid of tentacle Nemi!?
Well if you think about it back in 2020 that should of been an excuse to put the game back another year then we could of gotten the re3 remake we deserve even tho it was outsourced during lockdown could of given them more time to lengthen the story and gameplay i know capcom was developing villige at the same time but the same with that game by putting it back another year or two and we could of gotten a better experience with that hell it could of been more adaptive to third person i would of rather waited longer for 3make just for the proper story remade instead of them cutting it all capcom had to give us while we waited longer is an update to re2 remake with a proper b senerio a couple of more cutscenes with leon and Claire interactions and even a beta dodge mechanic that would of gotten us used to it for re3 remake
Ohh... what could of been
Just out of curiosity, why are you uploading this now? Like, the leaks have been out there since before Village came out--I remember youtubers going over the same docs right then.
I felt like it was the right time. I don’t see many videos on it.
Remake 2 wad so bad that it set my expectations so low that i had to enjoy Remake 3 more.
So if that document isn't fake then it proves that this game was always going to suck. Mission accomplished I guess.
If they were going to make a mini game then at least they should have made the Mercenaries something thats tried and true and people like. Resistance is just pathetic and RE3 suffered for it.

So good
I don't think this is legit but thanks for sharing
I personally love RE3make. Its not in my top 5 of REs but its close. I never liked the OG RE3 so any reimagining was going to appeal to me. I get it if youre a diehard fan of RE3 why this is a slap in the face. I feel for ya its a shit remake. But the gameplay is fun as hell the level design while linear is well focused and the characters are sooooo much better. Carlos is the man and this is my fav version of Jill to date, slightly beating out RE1make Jill. I had a ton of fun with it. I platinumed the game and still replay it on the regular as i do all RE games
Having no nostalgia for the original game but having played it, I really like the remake, I'm not a fan of chases like original nemesis or Mrx in 2R. But I agree that at least the game shouldn't be so expensive.
Wish 2 & 3 remake would get Director cuts even if it had to be a new game or Dlc it would just be interesting to see how big/better those games could’ve been with the cut content, capcom push dlc out for resident 7/8 so why not ones like 2/3 the fans that care about those games I’d imagine would pay to play those games that would include the cut content just think of a bigger experience 2 & 3 remake could’ve been. It’s a shame cause it’s put me off resident evil 4 remake 👎🏻 edit - if nothing was actually cut from the game then I guess I could say I’m quite disappointed in the lack of how close it felt to the original to expand sections like the hospital & labs which we already saw in resident evil 2 remake I would’ve much preferred stuff like raccoon city park, jill going to the rpd, the dead factory i’d much rather those over expanded already existing areas from previous games🤦🏻♂️.
Yey
The game was woke trash and it looks like 4 will be too
What was woke about it?
@@mrpussinboots4252 Jill’s redesign and belligerent feminist attitude
@@luket3452 Jill's redeisgn was done for purely practical purposes. The original outfit was absurd and inappropriate.
The attitude can be argued to the contrary, this is an officer in the midst of an outbreak with her trust issues at an all time low. Her attitude is warranted for the situation she found herself in. I'm sorry you can't handle modifications that fit within the context of the story - which may I say, was a huge upgrade over the original.
@@mrpussinboots4252 I don’t care about the “muh practicality” argument. It doesn’t stand to scrutiny when you consider that Leon’s hair is too long for “muh practicality” as a government agent. It’s not about practicality it’s about woke censorship. “Muh practicality” is just a cover excuse, nothing more
@@luket3452 Should Jill be strutting around with clubbing attire within a mid Western town in low temperatures during a zombie outbreak? The answer is no, quite simply that's ridiculous.
You're in the minority, most loved her redesign in spite of the quality of the game.
oh you're one of those muh guys. Condescending dialect that leads nowhere. Peace
So the clock tower was never in the cards.. 🥲 I can understand why, but they could’ve capitalized on. Since the train derailed, it could’ve been a ‘Plan B’ kind of things. Plus, umbrella bought it, this would’ve added more backstory or something.
This is truthfully confusing.... capcom had a potential treasure
they could've made a really great and memorable game
and yet they intentionally and willingly chose to cut so much stuff from the game
They brought it on themselves they did such a terrible job
@@ozwellespencer955 Capcom genuinely didn’t like RE3. They only remade it for the sake of the other Old School RE Games. And since it didn’t sell as well as the rest of the mainline, they assigned it a limited budget. The game truly had so much potential and missed opportunity. It was a tone-dead approach that they made it shorter and focused more on an online game that no one asked for + it didn’t even do well.. There is still a chance for it to be rectified.
@@azizali1810 wish it would be rectified but I just don’t feel it’s the case not enough Resident evil content creators talk about the topic and the fans that do try bring it up to capcom just get silenced 🤷🏻♂️. Baffles me as well cause they’d rather waste resources making a knock off dino crisis then rectify 3 remake hell even if they rectified 2/3 and put the cut content back in those games I’d pay for them all over again. Them cutting mercenaries for resistance was a kick in the ⚽️’s as well lost opportunity with what the fans got as "final product"
@@harrisx420 The Resistance thing was a complete tone-deaf effort.. They could’ve simply opted for Mercenaries, since RE3 introduced it. Its clear Capcom has a personal grudge against RE3 that they dont want to give it as much attention and importance as the rest of the main title.. which is sad. The community has been very hands on with creating content for the new RE3, in an attempt to do it justice. I know its very unlikely, but I hope the game one day get updated again..
Peter Fabiano about RE with a boring main character: Ahh, good, let's put some couple additional content along with Story DLC.
Peter Fabiano about RE with one of the greatest characters in the series: The Mercenaries DLC? Expanded Story? Nah, we don't do that.
Peter has left capcom for good.
except ethan was better then jill
