Durring the summer of 1969, Coven did a free concert at Indianapolis ` Military Park on a sunday afternoon .I hopped on a bus to go there . I am definatly glad I did .
This video (lip-synched, there was no original audio) was ripped from a bootleg screener, originating from the footage archive where I've worked for the past 25 years. :D The "HL" burn-in identifies it as being from the nationally syndicated Hy Lit Show from WKBS-TV in Philadelphia, which aired in more than 30 markets nationwide. Hy Lit was a DJ based in the Philadelphia area from the 1950s until 2005. Some of my other favorites from this collection include some very early appearances by Alice Cooper.
She did great singing on a track not too long ago with the band Demon Head. If anything the crackle in her older voice added to the atmosphere and however her voice sounds now, it’s still an amazing voice nevertheless🤘

Led Zeppelin and Black Sabbath were out by year's end at least in the UK. The eponymous Sabbath album was held back until 1970 in the States.
