Holy Crap that's a TON of new game content!!! For a mobile Gacha Game going onto 6-7 years old, the fact that they're still making actual game improvements and bringing new stuff to the game has me hopeful we've got many years of Azur Lane left since the devs are still investing into the game trying to modernize it.
I’d really not call these improvements, and I’d rather they not modernize the game, as that’s part of what’s been going on lately, just because something’s new, doesn’t mean it’s good I’d like it if they went backwards to go with the original idea of Azur Lane again
Lots of great new QOL changes, and yes, content, despite naysayers. New modes on the horizon and elements. Despite some controversial choices and delays, so much in here was a positive step.
@@glauberglousger6643 I see zero argument for them to go backwards. With new Gachas being released every month with newer features, staying relevant by trying to modernize and showing reinvestment into the game is important for growth.

Woke up at 6 am EST against my better judgement and watched the stream with ALM and Hawk and honestly seeing all the fog of war censorship had me laughing. And then promptly fell asleep forgetting everything I saw including the reveals lol. Glad to have a recap like always! Seeing an entire new wave of swimsuit skins and party dresses next to more oath skins is always a treat. Eagerly waiting when JP/EN posts the uncensored images so we can enjoy them more in full.
Thanks for watching, even though you'd already seen it! The censorship fog really is hilarious. I feel like they almost overdo it deliberately to prove a point. Can't wait for the full arts!
Am i the only one that doesn't like the zoomed out view of Bismarck II? It looks more like we got a rigging with the addition of a shipgirl instead of a proper shipgirl.
There are definitely cons to it, for sure. I wish we could get like a two zoom view, where it gets super close to her, while also having the full view in the background.

Thanks for the video. I needed a more positive take on the announcements after other places became something of a vitriolic war zone. Can't even express happiness over having Bismarck Zwei announced (OG Bismarck being one of two shipgirls I started playing Azur Lane for, the other being Graf Zeppelin) without people raging or posting me an essay and a half about how Ironblood doesn't deserve to have events for the next 3 years, as if their opinion is somehow gospel. Like I get people being disappointed (seems to be happening a lot these days) but why do you think being disappointed means I have to share the same sentiment or else? Yes, Ironblood is my main faction, but I collect every single shipgirl that my luck and cube stockpile allows. The older my account gets, the more I find joy in just raising these ladies of destruction. Heck, just recently I finished off my last PR ship (Izumo) and now I can look back to myself from 4 years ago who thought he'd never finish Friedrich, let alone all the others. -New event makes me happy because it's Bismarck's return to full active duty. -New skins are more or less all bangers (RIP wallet-kun). -Nelson retrofit! Finally, another new non-DD retrofit has been added (last one was Yat Sen IIRC). -Taihou-chan is mega cute (but then again, most of them are). -U-556 as a gacha META makes sense to me; do you honestly want a months-long showdown fight instead when fighting submarines has largely been negatively received? -Apparently we're getting a new faction towards the end of the year? Although I heard others make claim it's just more members of Tempesta, which so far only has Royal Fortune. Anyway, thanks again.
Yes, I honestly don’t get the war zones, although I do have to say that Bismarck II is a weird and stupid choice, (nothing against Bismarck, it’s just Azur Lane that’s dying, Bismarck II does contribute, but it’s a mutual thing) As for Ironblood getting so many events, it’s a bit strange, but it mainly means that it’ll run out of ships sooner (which is why it’s a bit strange), Of course, this event kinda screws with everything and adds too many implications and expectations, but that’d have been the same regardless of faction

That's how the game gets better - through feedback. But non-productive pitchforking and melodramatic wailing gets everyone nowhere fast. Don't let those types of people get your down. There is plenty to enjoy and look forward to with what was revealed here today.
@@glauberglousger6643 See THAT is a perfectly valid take and I can understand Bismarck Zwei being not what people expected of her (myself I was hoping for a retrofit, even though the typical counterpoint is that the retrofits had to be "historically accurate *read: had existed*"). And assuming Bisko Zwei has a faction buff (one that trumps the OG's) then there is near 0 reason to deploy the OG. But ultimately, whatever disappointment/fears I may have are superseded by my love of the character, whatever her form. Azur Lane is getting on in years and there is only so much freshness the devs can bring about to keep people playing. SMS girls got boo'd because it's more Ironblood girls in the game despite the event being the first major milestone in the narrative (finally and permanently taking down a Siren). Even Revelations of Dust had some poor reception despite it having added more HMS which people claimed were being shafted as a faction (though that MAY be because the actual HMS girls were playing second fiddle to the Iris Libre). It seems like no matter what the devs do, some people will act as if they had taken a dump in their cereal. I dunno, what would have been your take for that?
@@aurolsedrech8691 The game is old yes, and while I understand the need for fresh stuff, there’s a ever increasing backlog of reruns, and an overstuffed build pool (it was made better by removing some ships, but they’ll quickly get replaced by others, so it isn’t a permanent solution) As for SMS, it was probably one of the best recent events, it only added to the game (introduction of WW1 possibilities, a very impactful story, the name Lützow isn’t really an issue since the WW2 one is called Deutschland in-game) There was uncertainty at first for me, but in retrospect it’s a great event, Revelations of Dust was a bit strange as it felt like a forced mashup Maybe that’s because most people expected an Iris Libre UR, and when it was shown as a HMS one, the people who wanted an Iris event didn’t really like it, and the people who liked it being HMS didn’t like it because it was just a Iris Libre event with HMS ships (Iris Libre was the main focus with HMS just there for the journey) It was a compromise that didn’t really end up the best, (I don’t know what could’ve been done with Implacable’s event, but putting Revelations of dust’s story as a normal Iris or Vichya event, with some faction ships (a small event with a 1-4 ships, maybe even only a part one), this way everyone would’ve been less annoyed (Iris UR fans would be, but only one UR per UR event so, that’s that)
I agree with Glauber. I don't think making people who like Bisko II feel bad is the way to go. Sure KMS has had a lot of events, but that doesn't mean you should feel as disappointed as I and many others were. Also I'm glad we both can agree this should've been a retrofit (albeit a special type specific to Bisko since she never had a retro). There's nothing stopping the devs from redesigning OG bisko's skills from scratch in an attempt to rework her through this supposed "retrofit" (maybe even rename this special type to "rebirth" or something like that). Ultimately I hope Bisko enjoyers will be happy. A lot of us are not. But I'm happy we both can see from each other's perspective.
Seeing how much they still "care" about the game and improve things really gives me hope also... if the 2mil for the stream are accurate the game is very healthy over in CN xD That aside the content and updates for this year looks stacked and most likely for JP ani we get the new gamemode too! Bismark Zwei is a bit "iffy" personally i would have loved if she got retrofitted instead of being a UR slot but her design is awesome so no complaints cant wait for the event and lore~! Looks like we can finally stop the mayor faction stuff and focus more on the minor ones and give em some love hopefully this year! Also leaving the "mimimi warzone clowns" aside i genuinely like the "fake nonhistorical events" more than the accurate ones. Cause its a complete wildcard and gives the devs freedom to fuck around a bit. I genuinely don't think that we all want US, HMS, IJN ships for the end of the game over and over and over or? Also.... some bad news for IB haters... Plan Z might come to fruition in AL in this event or be teased heavily so better get used to it ;p And that also means... other nonhistorical plans could be turned real if the devs want it like the ruski or emprey one =w= Smal potential SPOILER BELOW I laugh my ass of if my 2 year old theory about Bisko is right with "rearmament and Siren bionic shenanigans" and it gets confirmed how she got her new rig.
They've always shown a great deal of care in handling the game, and despite some controversies and delays here and there, they've gone above and beyond most developers. Would certainly love to see some of the other factions get some representation over the course of the year. I'm a big fan of expanding beyond historical accuracy. I just feel like it does open to doors and the lore.
Impressions of CN stream 0. SPEEDRUN STREAM WRYYY 1. I'm pressing F to CN shikikans. Those amount of censorship is just immeasurable. 2. First time META ship in the gacha, awesome. 3. META ship gets fleet tech points, so lvl 120 meta ship will get stat bonuses. My work to lvl 120 all meta ships now getting rewarded 4. Super happy that Gear lab updated, added rainbow DD guns means now my UR gun blueprints can be used 5. Never liked the direction with II ships but at least only one this time. Will get everyone anyway, once that collection is 100%, it should stay 100% 6. Swimsuit skins are always good. NJ is confirmed L2D 7. Roguelike where? lmao oh also your translator is not wrong, it's just CN somehow changes the names of german ships, for whatever reason.

If I had to guess, it's probably how she survived her encounter with the black cube. Possibly using the Watasumi's ability to manifest dreams into reality. It would make sense that the Iron Blood would use it for that, since they were exploring other avenues to bolster their roster.
No matter my opinions on recent or upcoming events, it’s always refreshing to watch your reactions because it’s nice to see that at least someone actually enjoys the new content. Personally, I’ve enjoyed and oathed regular Bismarck when she released, but this a bit disappointing. (As far as the UR goes, the event is interesting) Waiting 3+ months for what’s supposed to be some of the best content this game can offer in form of a UR event, only to have a “here’s a ship you have, but BETTER!” thrown at you just makes me not want to waste cubes or play at all really. Not going to lie, AL has been letting me down a lot lately in form of new ships, but the overall rest of the event content helps remedy the situation.
I certainly can understand being disappointed in some of the reveals. I think I'm used to that mechanic from playing so many other gacha, but I could have seen us get a retrofit. I don't really see that your investment in original Bismarck as a waste. You've been using her and playing with her all this time. That has value, and fleet bonuses, too.

Haven't been playing in almost a year. I'll... probably hop back on to roll her for pity. I just checked and I have over 700 cubes stocked up. I guess I was lucky enough to get Shinano with only a few cubes. It's the only explanation for why she's Lv 70 in my dorm. This, on the other hand? This is worth the pity. Pride of a Nation, a Biscuit of Steel. The rigging is enormous.
Here's little findings on new gear we're getting. While there's no evidence improved 100mm DD gun was built, it was being worked on IRL (different name was given), that Fw-190 might be a fighter (that version was made to combat strategic bombers; armed with 2 large unguided Air-to-Air missile). US torpedo mount might be either ASW system (guided; designed '44, produced post-war) or regular torp mount, CA gun was used on earlier US heavies and lastly that puny twin 20mm AA from UK also existed IRL. As for event itself I'm mixed on this. I was totally expecting UvH sister so revealing second Bismarck was a quite surprise, leaving me with some questions. Curious about origins of Regensburg and Alvensleben. Lastly I can't help but to think that rigging gigantism is getting more absurd.
GOOD LORD!! The amount of new content definitely took some time to digest. Though i am conflicted about Bismark 2 instead of retro, she looks hella cool! And the skins are just out of this world! I plan to pick at least 10 of them (oh my dear wallet). I cant wait for 25th to arrive as soon as possible. Are you planning to pick all of them Guardian E? As a new player (started when Royal Fortune event) i'm soo excited with this, Biscmarck 2 is really cool, nelson retro, tons of great skin, very happy especially since my 2 fav mainz and anchorage had a skin now, and there is an ASMR in game. I understand the disappointment on Bismarck Zwei, because unlike Yorktown II there wasn’t a “second” Bismarck, so BSM Zwei and BSM are the same ship. But personally I don’t really mind, and in the stream they briefly explained that Bismarck was using her new riggings to restrain her from metamorphosis; so lorewise, Bismarck Zwei being the same character as original Bismarck makes sense. It’s just that it’s weird to have two bismarcks being the same person of different time period in the dock at the same time lol.
It's not so unusual when you have different versions of a ship at different timelines, kinda like Kaga. Or even the Muse ships. But I do understand the disappointment surrounding the somewhat controversial decision.

I totally get why people is complaining about, but to be fair its not like they pull this out of the blue, it makes sense lorewise, we all know what happened in the past events, yes it would have been ideal for her to be a UR retrofit of Bismarck keeping her relevant but well I take this aswell, IMO
Since Yostar/Manjuu are so generous, I'd say it was a coinflip between a retrofit and a Type II, but in almost any other game, there's no chance in hell a popular ship like Bismarck would get a retro. I can understand disappointment about the decision, but logically, it was also the route that made the most sense. No one gets as hype about a retro as a new released version.

I love all the new KMS ships, including Bismarck Zwei, and the new water overhaul is really damn pretty. But Taihou-chan and TB Tamagotchi are probably the highlight for me and i always love your reactions to the skins 😊
Mixed feelings about Bismarck II. It's nice that she's basically getting a boost but not at possible cash expense. Jade may be popular considering her sister Elbe. Stuff like Nelson's retro and the arcade restores some faith, though hoping the JP anni follows up well. But they'd need to do something about all the forgotten things littering the game. It is definitely nice to see the censoring contained to just CN. I guess Champagne's the left field oath this anni (poor Seattle)
While I wouldn't have minded a Bismarck retro, I do think this just makes more sense from a hype and business perspective. When I see the fog, I'm encouraged because it means the skins are saucy enough to cover for CN and will be unadulterated overseas. What I fear more would be the standardization and neutering of art globally because that'd be cheaper. And I'm grateful they've not opted to do that.

Oh you love asmr as well! I think it is so good! I love Dude That's Wholesome and Baby Pink plus a ton more! I also just love the new content to the game! I love the Azur Lane asmr, but reading subtitles while trying to fall asleep is impossible!
Can't wait for this event, I will be playing the game live once the event comes out. Also big fan of Bismarck Zwei and New Jersey's swimsuit, that's a purchase for sure

I am very pleased with the content we are getting. both the skins/event and the UI/gameplay revamping. as an Iron blood main I am delighted to see more Bismarck and a bit heart broken by seeing how close we were to getting a swimsuit skin for peter strasser... on another note, I found hilarious how the fog censor made the skins look way lewder than they probably are, lol. I am absolutely getting Bismarck's and Amagi's, I think they turned out great of course but I also have to put my money were my mouth is and prove I do want to see more content with them, the rest of the line up looks amazing but just the former two are the ships I am personally attached to this time. still, that Taihou and New Jersey though... I was very pleasantly surprised by Nelson retrofit and Kaga skin on the season pass, those are the kind of things I didn't new I wanted but am really happy to get. I am getting really hyped, I might considering cashing in some of my unused vacation time from work.

Yeah, I'd certainly appreciate seeing more retros. I can understand them opting for UR event treatment for more popular ships because there will always be more excitement surrounding a new release over a retrofit.
Love the designs, but i HATE IT how they always do these events so close, back to back. I just blew all my cubes for the Collab and still didn't get Luna. I hope they stretch out the preparation time in between events a bit. And let's hope for better luck this time around!
The new skins going to ruin me... so many awesome ones I 'need". Little bit dissapointed they went for Bismarck Two (Zwei), instead of a retrofit. It made sense for Yorktwon (first one Yorktown class, second one Essex class), but there was no new Bismarck planned historically as far as I am aware.
The skin selection is so good this time around! I do understand being lukewarm about the Bismarck Zwei. There might be some consistency in parts of Bismarck being rebuilt, though I'm not really sure.
No retro for KMS, no Oath skin for KMS, HMS got another Retro again, instead getting new UR we got Bismarck II which is nice cause I love bismarck but another II ship (sigh), and I bet this is the only KMS event this year..........Why manjuu/yostar really like to screw over KMS, they done KMS dirty again, just why????!!!!!! I just hope we atleash got new KMS gear and Bismarck zwei skill is not trash......(finger cross)
She really needs a new skin, tho. It's possible because of a reshuffling of the schedule, they'd planned to have a rerun by now. Can't be too much longer.

thanks for the recap. saw the stream on al-meta with guests. its between funny and awkward to see all the rankings, skins, news presentations... and all is foggy. this chinese censorship is one of a kind. i mean we can joke about it and now we have the surpriese when the new stuff is there, but come on... cant sy anything about the skins and new ships... didnt see much. but i thing as cool as the dragon rig is as absurd its getting. where in the context of ships is a yu-gi-oh cyber dragon as a pet? ironbloods rig designe falls out of the game... but new bismarck now fits the newer ironbloods. her old designe just looked plain and boring compared to the newer ships. didnt thought we will get an ironblood UR up so soon. personally i would have loved a retrofit for bismarck more. story wise is the typ2 more logical. oh well, ironblood and bismarck, who am i to complain about? maybe she will get a heal skill? the first for ironblood. hope the next URs are vanguard ships. i m happy that the ui gets some reworks? taihou l2d bikini and taihou-chaaaaaaaan!!!!!

The alternative is they tone down the artwork globally, which would be the worst case scenario. I think the dragon rigging is super cool! I do think the retrofit would have been a good option for Bismarck, but I'm honestly not mad about it. Taihou's skin broke me.
@@GuardianEPlays (50% humor, 30% serious, 20% grain of salt) but imagine a in-game fight: a fight between royal and ironblood. the royals with the classic old school rigg... smale, mostly of wood and normal canons. and on the other side the magma dragons, extra long hard metal self aware leviathans, flying rigs with canons unbound to the " ship " itself, crunch jaws, extra heat canons in the mouths... the ironbloods dont even need canons anymore, just go meele combat. heck, they dont even need ships anymore, because the rigg is not bound... the riggs are better pawns. again, its cool and a nice designe, but -for me and my understanding - ingame it starts to break the imersion and power-lvl. there is no faction, ok maybe a litte - the northern parlament - , that could face of against the power of the ironbloods riggs. do you know the joke from the anime, where enty flys on her plane? a joke that is put in the game on some events, where CV say that one cant do this? well, the ironbloods could move a full fleet on the back of the dragons of august and now regensburg. its just so over the top. ps: i saw a post on twitter, where someone compared taihous bust from the new bikini skin to her race queen skin... people have interesting occupations xD
First off, HOLY SHIT. Second of all, HOLY SHITTO. So much new content, and once again I kneel to Manjuu. I’m really interested in how the child care thing is gonna work, and if it also involves the “mother” ship girl. I’m also mixed on the Amagi skin. She’s my favorite ship, and I’m glad she’s getting some love finally, but I also really loved Liduke’s art, and it just won’t feel the same without her. At least we still have Miyuki Sawashiro though!

Am i the only one that doesn't like the zoomed out view of Bismarck II? It looks more like we got a rigging with the addition of a shipgirl instead of a proper shipgirl.
There are definitely cons to it, for sure. I wish we could get like a two zoom view, where it gets super close to her, while also having the full view in the background.

Can't even express happiness over having Bismarck Zwei announced (OG Bismarck being one of two shipgirls I started playing Azur Lane for, the other being Graf Zeppelin) without people raging or posting me an essay and a half about how Ironblood doesn't deserve to have events for the next 3 years, as if their opinion is somehow gospel. Like I get people being disappointed (seems to be happening a lot these days) but why do you think being disappointed means I have to share the same sentiment or else?
Yes, Ironblood is my main faction, but I collect every single shipgirl that my luck and cube stockpile allows. The older my account gets, the more I find joy in just raising these ladies of destruction. Heck, just recently I finished off my last PR ship (Izumo) and now I can look back to myself from 4 years ago who thought he'd never finish Friedrich, let alone all the others.
-New event makes me happy because it's Bismarck's return to full active duty.
-New skins are more or less all bangers (RIP wallet-kun).
-Nelson retrofit! Finally, another new non-DD retrofit has been added (last one was Yat Sen IIRC).
-Taihou-chan is mega cute (but then again, most of them are).
-U-556 as a gacha META makes sense to me; do you honestly want a months-long showdown fight instead when fighting submarines has largely been negatively received?
-Apparently we're getting a new faction towards the end of the year? Although I heard others make claim it's just more members of Tempesta, which so far only has Royal Fortune.

although I do have to say that Bismarck II is a weird and stupid choice, (nothing against Bismarck, it’s just Azur Lane that’s dying, Bismarck II does contribute, but it’s a mutual thing)
As for Ironblood getting so many events, it’s a bit strange, but it mainly means that it’ll run out of ships sooner (which is why it’s a bit strange),
Of course, this event kinda screws with everything and adds too many implications and expectations, but that’d have been the same regardless of faction

See THAT is a perfectly valid take and I can understand Bismarck Zwei being not what people expected of her (myself I was hoping for a retrofit, even though the typical counterpoint is that the retrofits had to be "historically accurate *read: had existed*"). And assuming Bisko Zwei has a faction buff (one that trumps the OG's) then there is near 0 reason to deploy the OG. But ultimately, whatever disappointment/fears I may have are superseded by my love of the character, whatever her form.
Azur Lane is getting on in years and there is only so much freshness the devs can bring about to keep people playing. SMS girls got boo'd because it's more Ironblood girls in the game despite the event being the first major milestone in the narrative (finally and permanently taking down a Siren). Even Revelations of Dust had some poor reception despite it having added more HMS which people claimed were being shafted as a faction (though that MAY be because the actual HMS girls were playing second fiddle to the Iris Libre). It seems like no matter what the devs do, some people will act as if they had taken a dump in their cereal.

@@aurolsedrech8691 The game is old yes, and while I understand the need for fresh stuff, there’s a ever increasing backlog of reruns, and an overstuffed build pool (it was made better by removing some ships, but they’ll quickly get replaced by others, so it isn’t a permanent solution)
As for SMS, it was probably one of the best recent events, it only added to the game (introduction of WW1 possibilities, a very impactful story, the name Lützow isn’t really an issue since the WW2 one is called Deutschland in-game)
There was uncertainty at first for me, but in retrospect it’s a great event,
Revelations of Dust was a bit strange as it felt like a forced mashup
Maybe that’s because most people expected an Iris Libre UR, and when it was shown as a HMS one, the people who wanted an Iris event didn’t really like it, and the people who liked it being HMS didn’t like it because it was just a Iris Libre event with HMS ships
(Iris Libre was the main focus with HMS just there for the journey)
It was a compromise that didn’t really end up the best, (I don’t know what could’ve been done with Implacable’s event, but putting Revelations of dust’s story as a normal Iris or Vichya event, with some faction ships (a small event with a 1-4 ships, maybe even only a part one), this way everyone would’ve been less annoyed (Iris UR fans would be, but only one UR per UR event so, that’s that)
I agree with Glauber. I don't think making people who like Bisko II feel bad is the way to go. Sure KMS has had a lot of events, but that doesn't mean you should feel as disappointed as I and many others were.
Also I'm glad we both can agree this should've been a retrofit (albeit a special type specific to Bisko since she never had a retro). There's nothing stopping the devs from redesigning OG bisko's skills from scratch in an attempt to rework her through this supposed "retrofit" (maybe even rename this special type to "rebirth" or something like that).
Ultimately I hope Bisko enjoyers will be happy. A lot of us are not. But I'm happy we both can see from each other's perspective.
Seeing how much they still "care" about the game and improve things really gives me hope also... if the 2mil for the stream are accurate the game is very healthy over in CN xD
That aside the content and updates for this year looks stacked and most likely for JP ani we get the new gamemode too! Bismark Zwei is a bit "iffy" personally i would have loved if she got retrofitted instead of being a UR slot but her design is awesome so no complaints cant wait for the event and lore~!
Looks like we can finally stop the mayor faction stuff and focus more on the minor ones and give em some love hopefully this year!
Also leaving the "mimimi warzone clowns" aside i genuinely like the "fake nonhistorical events" more than the accurate ones. I laugh my ass of if my 2 year old theory about Bisko is right with "rearmament and Siren bionic shenanigans" and it gets confirmed how she got her new rig.
They've always shown a great deal of care in handling the game, and despite some controversies and delays here and there, they've gone above and beyond most developers. Would certainly love to see some of the other factions get some representation over the course of the year.
I'm a big fan of expanding beyond historical accuracy. I just feel like it does open to doors and the lore.

If I had to guess, it's probably how she survived her encounter with the black cube. Possibly using the Watasumi's ability to manifest dreams into reality. It would make sense that the Iron Blood would use it for that, since they were exploring other avenues to bolster their roster.
No matter my opinions on recent or upcoming events, it’s always refreshing to watch your reactions because it’s nice to see that at least someone actually enjoys the new content.
Personally, I’ve enjoyed and oathed regular Bismarck when she released, but this a bit disappointing. (As far as the UR goes, the event is interesting) Waiting 3+ months for what’s supposed to be some of the best content this game can offer in form of a UR event, only to have a “here’s a ship you have, but BETTER!” thrown at you just makes me not want to waste cubes or play at all really. Not going to lie, AL has been letting me down a lot lately in form of new ships, but the overall rest of the event content helps remedy the situation.
I certainly can understand being disappointed in some of the reveals. I think I'm used to that mechanic from playing so many other gacha, but I could have seen us get a retrofit. I don't really see that your investment in original Bismarck as a waste. You've been using her and playing with her all this time. That has value, and fleet bonuses, too.

Here's little findings on new gear we're getting. While there's no evidence improved 100mm DD gun was built, it was being worked on IRL (different name was given), that Fw-190 might be a fighter (that version was made to combat strategic bombers; armed with 2 large unguided Air-to-Air missile).
US torpedo mount might be either ASW system (guided; designed '44, produced post-war) or regular torp mount, CA gun was used on earlier US heavies and lastly that puny twin 20mm AA from UK also existed IRL.
As for event itself I'm mixed on this. I was totally expecting UvH sister so revealing second Bismarck was a quite surprise, leaving me with some questions.
Curious about origins of Regensburg and Alvensleben. Lastly I can't help but to think that rigging gigantism is getting more absurd.

I understand the disappointment on Bismarck Zwei, because unlike Yorktown II there wasn’t a “second” Bismarck, so BSM Zwei and BSM are the same ship. But personally I don’t really mind, and in the stream they briefly explained that Bismarck was using her new riggings to restrain her from metamorphosis; so lorewise, Bismarck Zwei being the same character as original Bismarck makes sense. It’s just that it’s weird to have two bismarcks being the same person of different time period in the dock at the same time lol.
It's not so unusual when you have different versions of a ship at different timelines, kinda like Kaga. Or even the Muse ships. But I do understand the disappointment surrounding the somewhat controversial decision.

Since Yostar/Manjuu are so generous, I'd say it was a coinflip between a retrofit and a Type II, but in almost any other game, there's no chance in hell a popular ship like Bismarck would get a retro. I can understand disappointment about the decision, but logically, it was also the route that made the most sense. No one gets as hype about a retro as a new released version.

Mixed feelings about Bismarck II. It's nice that she's basically getting a boost but not at possible cash expense. Jade may be popular considering her sister Elbe.
Stuff like Nelson's retro and the arcade restores some faith, though hoping the JP anni follows up well. But they'd need to do something about all the forgotten things littering the game.
It is definitely nice to see the censoring contained to just CN.

While I wouldn't have minded a Bismarck retro, I do think this just makes more sense from a hype and business perspective.
When I see the fog, I'm encouraged because it means the skins are saucy enough to cover for CN and will be unadulterated overseas. What I fear more would be the standardization and neutering of art globally because that'd be cheaper. And I'm grateful they've not opted to do that.
@GuardianE I remember that one year where all areas got watered down stuff relatively speaking (like the nigh All DD JP anni). Glad those times are over.

Oh you love asmr as well! I think it is so good! I love Dude That's Wholesome and Baby Pink plus a ton more! I also just love the new content to the game! I love the Azur Lane asmr, but reading subtitles while trying to fall asleep is impossible!

thank you so much for the recap and reaction E!. I am very pleased with the content we are getting. both the skins/event and the UI/gameplay revamping. as an Iron blood main I am delighted to see more Bismarck and a bit heart broken by seeing how close we were to getting a swimsuit skin for peter strasser... on another note, I found hilarious how the fog censor made the skins look way lewder than they probably are, lol. I am absolutely getting Bismarck's and Amagi's, I think they turned out great of course but I also have to put my money were my mouth is and prove I do want to see more content with them, the rest of the line up looks amazing but just the former two are the ships I am personally attached to this time. still, that Taihou and New Jersey though...
I was very pleasantly surprised by Nelson retrofit and Kaga skin on the season pass, those are the kind of things I didn't new I wanted but am really happy to get.
I am getting really hyped, I might considering cashing in some of my unused vacation time from work.

Yeah, I'd certainly appreciate seeing more retros. I can understand them opting for UR event treatment for more popular ships because there will always be more excitement surrounding a new release over a retrofit.

Love the designs, but i HATE IT how they always do these events so close, back to back. I just blew all my cubes for the Collab and still didn't get Luna. I hope they stretch out the preparation time in between events a bit. And let's hope for better luck this time around!

The new skins going to ruin me... so many awesome ones I 'need". Little bit dissapointed they went for Bismarck Two (Zwei), instead of a retrofit. It made sense for Yorktwon (first one Yorktown class, second one Essex class), but there was no new Bismarck planned historically as far as I am aware.
The skin selection is so good this time around! I do understand being lukewarm about the Bismarck Zwei. There might be some consistency in parts of Bismarck being rebuilt, though I'm not really sure.

No retro for KMS, no Oath skin for KMS, HMS got another Retro again, instead getting new UR we got Bismarck II which is nice cause I love bismarck but another II ship (sigh), and I bet this is the only KMS event this year..........Why manjuu/yostar really like to screw over KMS, they done KMS dirty again, just why????!!!!!! I just hope we atleash got new KMS gear and Bismarck zwei skill is not trash......(finger cross)

its between funny and awkward to see all the rankings, skins, news presentations... and all is foggy. this chinese censorship is one of a kind. i mean we can joke about it and now we have the surpriese when the new stuff is there, but come on...
cant sy anything about the skins and new ships... didnt see much.
but i thing as cool as the dragon rig is as absurd its getting. where in the context of ships is a yu-gi-oh cyber dragon as a pet? ironbloods rig designe falls out of the game...
but new bismarck now fits the newer ironbloods. her old designe just looked plain and boring compared to the newer ships.
didnt thought we will get an ironblood UR up so soon. personally i would have loved a retrofit for bismarck more. story wise is the typ2 more logical. oh well, ironblood and bismarck, who am i to complain about? maybe she will get a heal skill? the first for ironblood.
hope the next URs are vanguard ships.

Thanks for watching~! I find the censorship hilarious. The fact that they had to censor so harshly actually just makes me even happier for what we're getting overseas. The alternative is they tone down the artwork globally, which would be the worst case scenario.
I think the dragon rigging is super cool! I do think the retrofit would have been a good option for Bismarck, but I'm honestly not mad about it.

but imagine a in-game fight: a fight between royal and ironblood. the royals with the classic old school rigg... smale, mostly of wood and normal canons. and on the other side the magma dragons, extra long hard metal self aware leviathans, flying rigs with canons unbound to the " ship " itself, crunch jaws, extra heat canons in the mouths... the ironbloods dont even need canons anymore, just go meele combat. heck, they dont even need ships anymore, because the rigg is not bound... the riggs are better pawns.
again, its cool and a nice designe, but -for me and my understanding - ingame it starts to break the imersion and power-lvl. there is no faction, ok maybe a litte - the northern parlament - , that could face of against the power of the ironbloods riggs.
do you know the joke from the anime, where enty flys on her plane? a joke that is put in the game on some events, where CV say that one cant do this? well, the ironbloods could move a full fleet on the back of the dragons of august and now regensburg.
its just so over the top.
ps: i saw a post on twitter, where someone compared taihous bust from the new bikini skin to her race queen skin... people have interesting occupations xD
Honestly, this entire game is over the top. Shipgirls as a concept is over the top. I don't mind them going epic with it.

First off, HOLY SHIT. Second of all, HOLY SHITTO.
So much new content, and once again I kneel to Manjuu. I’m really interested in how the child care thing is gonna work, and if it also involves the “mother” ship girl. I’m also mixed on the Amagi skin. She’s my favorite ship, and I’m glad she’s getting some love finally, but I also really loved Liduke’s art, and it just won’t feel the same without her. At least we still have Miyuki Sawashiro though!
We'll have to see the full hi-res uncensored art on Amagi once it's revealed! It looks pretty great so far, but it'll require a closer look.
