That Amagi-chan vtuber is just adorable overload! Excited for the new UR and Repulse META. A lot to look forward to here. Hey I'm very impressed that Ulrich is already at #2 most oathed ahead of Taihou. I imagine a lot of it's because she's a UR but since Shinano is at #10 it could be that Ulrich has way more fans. I expected UvH to not be welcomed by many SKKs because of her intense personality but I'm glad I was wrong. Love your videos! @GuardianE
The stats were for the most oathed ships of the past year. Shinano came out two years ago so she was lower. Also CN heavily encourages oathing for stat boosts, not waifu, so they only usually oath high tier ships.
The UR is great, but I'm all in for Indominatable. HMS ships in general are usually the ones I least use, but somehow my favorite shipgirls always end up being HMS. And I haven't been a fan of Unicorn, but that retrofit is too beautiful to ignore
Oh hell yea glad to see that the Le Malin skin got the love it deserves. Easily my favorite skin over the past year, followed by the Enty Race Queen and Shima Bunnygirl skins. As for the event, I'm actually kind of sad Revenge and Jervis are elites, I like their designs a lot lmao. Indomitable is super unique, looks like it would be a skin not a base ship design. Vanguard's rigging is epic, and I like her design a lot, but I wish we had gotten a more provocative skin for her ngl. Speaking of skins, jfc so many, that Agir l2d skin is looking like an instant buy as well. Oof wallet might be hurting this event. Unicorn and Queen Elizabeth were both retrofits I really wanted to see, so I'm glad, would've been awesome if we could have gotten both both. Also, Idk how to feel about this melee system, now that you mention Laffey with a knife. I'm thinking about all the destroyers carrying knives and swords, I'm worried about them hurting themselves. That said, Mutsuki with a Souls style UGS might be the solution we need to deal with the Sirens once and for all.
Jarvis is actually an SR. I mislabeled her in my editing, so I'm very sorry about that. I also wish we got something more provocative for Vanguard, especially since it's a L2D. Definitely picking up that Agir skin! Hopefully we will get a QE retro during one of the other anniversaries. It's possible, at least! Ah, I joked about Laffey with a knife, but all these vanguard ships can handle their blades with proficiency, I'm sure!

Good work as always! II’m completely late to this party, and I have so much I want to say and I’ll probably forget something important, so I’ll just go through in order. Most won’t be too long. 1) Amagi-chan is too cute and probably my favorite of the little ships. I wish the story had the commander adopting the young shipgirls as daughters rather than oathing. A little version of a PR ship was definitely an unexpected surprise. 2) I shouldn’t be surprised New Jersey is first in the oathing and skin categories. I would too… if I had her😭 I joined in January, and even missed UvH, despite dropping over 200 cubes. It’s why I’m near-paranoid about always having at least 400 cubes heading into URs. 3) Indomitable looks epic, but she also looks like she could pass for Chen Hai’s sister rather than one of the Illustrious girls. 4) If there are any 90s kids out here, is it just me or is Vanguard’s suit up essentially Sailor Moon’s transformation? 5) Unicorn finally becomes a Gundam, lol! She even comes complete with a pair of Armed Armor DE’s too (the shield like "wings" on her back). Still no QE, yeah...maybe Lützow dunking on her was the devs talking through her. 6) The METAs looks awesome and I really want old META reruns. However, we were shown Yorktown META long ago and had no further mentions of her like ever. 7) I hope melee isn’t just for vanguard but that they also include slash attacks for at least some sword wielding backliners like Warspite and Zuikaku, to name a few. 8) Since we’re getting Chineses VAs for the Emprery girls, it would be epic (but probably asking too much) if each faction spoke their native language. 9) Colonel Sanders is New Iron Man! 10) 20:11 the silhouette on the left looks like pre-retrofit Ayanami, so maybe new skins? It’s either her or Purifier, lol! But in all honesty, they have a lot of similarities: white schoolgirl shirt with yellow tie, hair that is short around the sides (except around the ears, which are long. The hair that is.) but in a long ponytail in the back (Purifier’s is longer, but Ayanami retro gains a good length) and similar shaped horns/ears, which are curved and sharp (whereas Ayanami retro’s is flat and straight) 11) I hope we get Yuudachi's retrofit item either rerun or added to the shop soon, especially since we already just recently had the rerun for An Shan and Chang Chun's items/ 12) A 1/1 scale Ägir would probably cost $10-15k, but the 1/7 will probably be around the $300 range for the full rigging version, assuming they don’t do a price hike if she comes with lights. If she does, I can easily see the price exceeding $400. I preordered Baltimore with full rigging, but Ägir is looking very tempting and I may end up jumping in. My wallet will hate me for it.

Honestly, as much as people wanted a QE retro, i think unicorn was in a very good spot for a Retro aswell. Baseline healers without having event ship have been quite outdated and while much is still open (whats her new skill gonne be etc), getting a proper healer that dosnt just heal/support the vanguard, without having to get ships from events would be realy good for newcomers.
The 1st anniversary for this year look sick, too bad Q.E. didn't get her retrofit this time, maybe in EN or JP's anniversary they might announce it together with the Queen's Order anime.
So, when I first started the game, people told me not to roll for the non-event ships until the wishing well event, which supposedly takes place on Chinese server anniversary. So my question is, where is the wishing well event? I need my Graf Zeppelin 😭
Patience always pays off. They might be trying to release it closer to one of the other anniversaries (we basically have 3 annis in a row). It's still very ill advised to pull for non-event ships outside of Wishing Wells.

BINGing's Bountiful Year gets you TWO 1/4th babes and props for the same price, along with their interchangeable R18 parts. FREEing is absolutely out of line with this unreasonably aggressive move - eStream-levels of capitalization, minus the ambition, minus the paintjob quality. However, they kinda got our hearts hostage. NJ is a bunny motif by default design, and is in her prime nature in her bunny skin. Average/mediocre paintjobs, but nobody else can do real fishnet stockings as readily and with as much experience as FREEing (and her big sister, BINDing), who probably has them mass-manufacturered. Other than Shimakaze, there'll be no better bunny figure for an AL fan. That support is really humbling, and it means a lot. I have seen sort of a shift to grumbling acceptance. The price is most certainly going to push away a certain subset of potential buyers, and I'm curious to see how it all plays out. There were similar sentiments with ALTER's Prinz Eugen, though that seems so long ago nowadays. I hope FREEing really busts their asses on the QC for NJ because anything less than near flawless is unacceptable at this price and for this subject. I know you're somewhat joking and it's none of my business, but please practice fiscal discipline as much as you're comfortable with! That's always super important. To say I am hyped is an understatement! Revenge and Bellona look great. We get another of Javelin's sisters with Jarvis and she's cute. We finally get the last of the Illustrious sisters, Indomitable, and she is a goddess. Saving the best of the new ships for last, we get Vanguard as the UR and she looks absolutely incredible! That summon animation looks like something out of Sailor Moon! My wallet is very much in danger with that Agir skin and I'm ok with that. It's a great time to be a shikikan!

Had to miss it this time, so glad to see some of it here. Amagi-chan is cute, but the Manjuu are still scary. I guess the #1 oath and #1 skin explain NJ getting her oath skin. And yay to all fellow Malin skin enjoyers, that one's great. Cheshire the new Akashi? Keeping it in the cats :) 3 week event, huh? Wonder if that'll become standard for CN Anni events. Not too much a fan of the designs, seem to fit Sardegna more than Royal Navy to me. But will sweep as usual anyways of course. I assume those teases are PR5? Skins indeed blitzed but nothing immediately caught my eye. I might just use my rings and save my gems/money, but more in detail viewing is required. Also I missed the second META I did see screens on Discord for, and the translators saying it comes to OPSI the 6th. Which makes little sense to me as the current META ends the 31st. Extended, days of nothing? Wrong translations? We'll see.
The Manjuu have too much texturing or something on them. Still hilarious, though. Amagi-chan is adorable. Yep, NJ's placement coincides nicely for her oath skin. Cheshire is selling those wares quite well! Good luck on the sweep! Some people have mentioned they might be teasers for the KFC Collab? I'm still not entirely sure. They moved so quickly through the skins, it was hard to really process. I'm not really sure what the deal is with the META timeline. Hopefully that gets cleared up shortly.
Just got done with the grind for my final PR ship, and you can imagine what that did to my oil, so me and the girls are gonna be on vacation until the 26th. Daily missions and exercises, then done for the day. Don't worry, all the shipgirls they're asking me to limit break are already at the ready. I do admit that I might've hurt my cube supply trying to get Yoizuki, but I've still got almost 300, I'm still confident I can get enough cubes for pity before the event ends (assuming I even need it for Vanguard). Also, H. Y. P. E. D. for those oath skins, as I've already oathed both Saratoga and New Jersey. Same for the Unicorn Retrofit. Question is, who to give the other promise ring in the crate to? My short list is Javelin, Ayanami, Laffey, Kashino, and Emden. I can cross off the starters until I can oath them all at once (Z23 already has a ring), and I could give a ring to each, but I have a tradition of oathing all my gacha-obtained URs at this point. With Vanguard getting one, I'm gonna have to choose... ...eh. If it comes down to it, I can always let the Hunger Games Simulator decide.
You can easily get enough to pity should you need to, considering the ~300 free cubes per month rate or so in the game. If you're uncertain, it never hurts to just hold onto the ring for safe keeping. You never know what future ships will catch your fancy. As with all manner of gacha currency, 1 unit stockpiled for future risk is worth more than 20 squandered on an impulse.
HMS Unicorn retro was my hype. She needed an art/skill upgrade and she looks so cute (also QE Retrofit copium 😩). Also, do you speak Chinese/Japanese or do you have a super quick translator?
Unicorn seemed like a pretty popular pick, outside of QE, for this one! I wish I did, hahah. I just use context clues for the reaction, and edit in visual translations afterwards for updates.
Thanks for the recap! I'm actually rather nonplussed by the upcoming event ships and skins, because, for better or worse, they are basically what I expected, with the only surprise being Chibi Cheshire. The presentation itself was wonderfully quirky and entertaining, albeit rushed (understandable, they were probably pressed for time in getting this done due to China Things™ happening) What's more interesting is the melee system being brought up again after so long. I recall they started working on this in response to the overall perception that destroyers were too weak in comparison to the other ship classes, so I'm wondering what the balance in power and functionality will be in implementing it across more vanguard ship types, and whether we'll start to see ships with melee focused skills. Based on the rough preview we're still probably a ways off from implementation, but until then we can enjoy the thought of Laffey taking a swig from her bottle in one hand, raising a knife with the other, and sleepily saying "I'm gonna cut you." 🤣

I could barely keep up... I actually really didn't at times. But I do understand the stresses they're dealing with. The melee system preview was quite interesting. Can't wait to see more on that, and what direction they'll take with how the current landscape is. The mental imagery of belligerent Laffey swinging a knife made me laugh.
They never actually mentioned DDs with melee. They just showcased it with Laffey (as they did yet again) and then went silent entirely, and the community started filling the void with rumours like that.
That Agir Skin looks great and Agir and Shinano getting scale figures is soothes my soul. Two of my most wanted scales across all ships. Now, if only we could get a scale of Richelieu's Swimsuit skin...
I can't understand why you say that JB is the strongest battleship, at least, all CN players agree that New Jersey is the strongest, followed by Frederick. With 20,000 dmg per shell，NJ is the most powerful battleship now.

Soooo hype, I love the new UR so much! Not that great that she's a battleship, I wanted a vanguard (we got Vanguard but she's not a vanguard) but regardless she looks amazing. She already won a place in my heart. Indomitable is very cute too, but I like Vanguard more. Also I'm so happy Boise is getting a new skin, another to add to my Boise skin collection (she's my favourite shipfu, as one could easily tell). Also the NJ oath! I really did think it was fake at first but I'm also not surprised it's the real deal, happy about that too. Unicorn refit! Man, so much to look forward to, they really went all out.
GuardianE biggest weakness, new shipgirls and new skins going so fast, that he is unable to admire their beauty, clothing, backgrounds, and proportions. Overall, a good stream and I am liking the new Taihou skin (sad wallet noises*)

God the Amagi-chan model was so cute. PROTECC. Not sure why they blitzkrieg'd through everything, but I was able to catch a couple things that I missed last night. I'm glad to get that NJ oath skin, and wew boy that Aegir skin is absolutely tasty; that's for sure a must-buy for me. Vanguard's design looks great, but Indomitable is low-key the chef's kiss of the new ship batch. I do wonder if Vanguard will take the place of either NJ or UvH in the top 2, or if she'll slide into 3rd best BB ahead of FdG. We got ja-baited by the preview when it came to the UR. I think Indomitable would have been worthy of UR and it's a bit tiresome to get yet another UR BB, but I do want Vanguard. She looks like a younger Hood and though she seems lacking next to the other UR designs, I do like it. This stream was an Any% Speedrun; almost no time to take anything in. That Agir skin and Indomitable skin are instant-buys (though Indomitable's base skin, the uncensored one especially, is amazing). Also, the Forbin Oath skin was unexpected, but looks good. Amagi-Chan was a highlight. She's precious.
I was totally duped by the Indomitable. Definitely thought she was going to be the UR. The pace of the livestream made it really difficult to catch everything, to be honest. I'm definitely picking up both of those skins as well. Forbin was certainly a surprise. Amagi-chan was super cute.
If they are bringing Ark Royal Meta back it kinda makes sense why they gave knives/melee weapons for the vanguard ships (particularly the destroyers) just in case🤔

Im both a genshin impact and an azur lane fan, for azur lane to come out with all of this new upcoming stuff is very exciting for me since stuff like pins, stamp books or even the plushies are very exciting to try and put money towards as long as they're obviously reasonably priced. But on gameplay side, we're obviously getting more ships and stuff that are always here with big updates, I do hope that taihou school skin is free too.

thanks like always for the recap. saw the livestream but only with half an eye while doing other stuff. seeing the timeline, i feel kind of old... started the game like september 2019? well finally a HMS event, but... i m kind of not much hyped? the ships look nice, but kind of like france ships; the CV like taihou. kind of blunt designe. much white. and again a UR BB, which is a magical girl? hoped for more retrofits... like for queeny. but unicorns looks nice too. the skins are nice, maids again... and the l2d are KMS? in new HMS event? kind of trolling. Shinano skin rerun without shinano rerun is kind of trolling too. oath skins are nice, pls more. shikuma skin when? the new meta look really nice! my most intresst is in the new equip thing and the game changes they want to do. i just hope that this is the beginnig to make HMS relevant again, atm its a faction i mostly ignore, because they are - for me - the last interessting faction (ships and story).
Thanks for watching! We've come a long way! Some of the gacha I play are 8-9 years old now. It really does make you think about the journey. I think they're going for an angelic design with clean and crisp colors. I do see the parallel to the French ships, but I feel like the French ships have more shielded armor in general, so I don't think it's pushing the comparison too hard. I think the overall skin representation is actually quite even. I would have preferred the new Indomitable get a L2D, but otherwise it seemed fair. I do wish they came out with more Oath skins in general. I feel like those should be quicker to do than most others, and would incentivize a lot more ring purchases. Metas looks pretty good! I couldn't catch all the specifics on the gameplay enhancements, but several of them sound pretty nice. I think this will bring the faction up to story relevance, at least. I also think that these additions will make more HMS ships viable, even if full faction fleets might not be ideal for harder content.
It doesn't seem so. Maybe they want to release it across all servers at the same time, and are waiting for another server's anniversary since they're all in a row.
So many things revealed. From the new ships, which I liked the UR Battleship and can’t wait to get her, to the new skins. All I can say in the end is that my wallet will be hurting at the end of this event.
I dont think when people were going into the stream, talking manjuu's wasnt something they expected. That said, glad to see NJ's oath skin in full glory and happy to see Agir now have a skin too. I know Vanguard's a Battleship, but ironically HMS needs some vanguard help rather then main fleet.
Here's s question for everyone: If turning Meta = +1 rarity (elite to super rare, as an example) Then does this mean that the next meta - repulse meta will be weaker since she's just a rare (which could mean she'll turn to elite rarity)? Just asking since meta have been becoming stronger, so now they might be toning down the meta?

Someone said they've confirmed Repulse will be skipping a rarity and jumping to gold. I know that the "up one" rarity has been the standard up to this point, but that's never been a hard-fast rule. More just a general guide.

Thank you! I do think URs generally get a lot of priority in CN, so it does jive. Also, Taihou was missing in CN for a long period of time.
The stats were for the most oathed ships of the past year. Shinano came out two years ago so she was lower.
Also CN heavily encourages oathing for stat boosts, not waifu, so they only usually oath high tier ships.
The UR is great, but I'm all in for Indominatable. HMS ships in general are usually the ones I least use, but somehow my favorite shipgirls always end up being HMS. And I haven't been a fan of Unicorn, but that retrofit is too beautiful to ignore
Indomitable is my favorite of the bunch as well, to be honest!
Oh hell yea glad to see that the Le Malin skin got the love it deserves. Easily my favorite skin over the past year, followed by the Enty Race Queen and Shima Bunnygirl skins. As for the event, I'm actually kind of sad Revenge and Jervis are elites, I like their designs a lot lmao. Indomitable is super unique, looks like it would be a skin not a base ship design. Vanguard's rigging is epic, and I like her design a lot, but I wish we had gotten a more provocative skin for her ngl. Speaking of skins, jfc so many, that Agir l2d skin is looking like an instant buy as well. Oof wallet might be hurting this event.
Unicorn and Queen Elizabeth were both retrofits I really wanted to see, so I'm glad, would've been awesome if we could have gotten both both. Also, Idk how to feel about this melee system, now that you mention Laffey with a knife. I'm thinking about all the destroyers carrying knives and swords, I'm worried about them hurting themselves. That said, Mutsuki with a Souls style UGS might be the solution we need to deal with the Sirens once and for all.
Jarvis is actually an SR. I mislabeled her in my editing, so I'm very sorry about that. I also wish we got something more provocative for Vanguard, especially since it's a L2D. Definitely picking up that Agir skin!
Hopefully we will get a QE retro during one of the other anniversaries. It's possible, at least! Ah, I joked about Laffey with a knife, but all these vanguard ships can handle their blades with proficiency, I'm sure!

Good work as always! II’m completely late to this party, and I have so much I want to say and I’ll probably forget something important, so I’ll just go through in order. Most won’t be too long.
1) Amagi-chan is too cute and probably my favorite of the little ships. I wish the story had the commander adopting the young shipgirls as daughters rather than oathing. A little version of a PR ship was definitely an unexpected surprise.
2) I shouldn’t be surprised New Jersey is first in the oathing and skin categories. I would too… if I had her😭 I joined in January, and even missed UvH, despite dropping over 200 cubes. It’s why I’m near-paranoid about always having at least 400 cubes heading into URs.
3) Indomitable looks epic, but she also looks like she could pass for Chen Hai’s sister rather than one of the Illustrious girls.
4) If there are any 90s kids out here, is it just me or is Vanguard’s suit up essentially Sailor Moon’s transformation?
5) Unicorn finally becomes a Gundam, lol! She even comes complete with a pair of Armed Armor DE’s too (the shield like "wings" on her back). Still no QE, yeah...maybe Lützow dunking on her was the devs talking through her.
6) The METAs looks awesome and I really want old META reruns. However, we were shown Yorktown META long ago and had no further mentions of her like ever.
7) I hope melee isn’t just for vanguard but that they also include slash attacks for at least some sword wielding backliners like Warspite and Zuikaku, to name a few.
8) Since we’re getting Chineses VAs for the Emprery girls, it would be epic (but probably asking too much) if each faction spoke their native language.

10) 20:11 the silhouette on the left looks like pre-retrofit Ayanami, so maybe new skins? It’s either her or Purifier, lol! But in all honesty, they have a lot of similarities: white schoolgirl shirt with yellow tie, hair that is short around the sides (except around the ears, which are long. The hair that is.) but in a long ponytail in the back (Purifier’s is longer, but Ayanami retro gains a good length) and similar shaped horns/ears, which are curved and sharp (whereas Ayanami retro’s is flat and straight)
11) I hope we get Yuudachi's retrofit item either rerun or added to the shop soon, especially since we already just recently had the rerun for An Shan and Chang Chun's items/
12) A 1/1 scale Ägir would probably cost $10-15k, but the 1/7 will probably be around the $300 range for the full rigging version, assuming they don’t do a price hike if she comes with lights. If she does, I can easily see the price exceeding $400. I preordered Baltimore with full rigging, but Ägir is looking very tempting and I may end up jumping in. My wallet will hate me for it.

Honestly, as much as people wanted a QE retro, i think unicorn was in a very good spot for a Retro aswell. Baseline healers without having event ship have been quite outdated and while much is still open (whats her new skill gonne be etc), getting a proper healer that dosnt just heal/support the vanguard, without having to get ships from events would be realy good for newcomers.

So, when I first started the game, people told me not to roll for the non-event ships until the wishing well event, which supposedly takes place on Chinese server anniversary. So my question is, where is the wishing well event? I need my Graf Zeppelin 😭
Patience always pays off. They might be trying to release it closer to one of the other anniversaries (we basically have 3 annis in a row). It's still very ill advised to pull for non-event ships outside of Wishing Wells.

BINGing's Bountiful Year gets you TWO 1/4th babes and props for the same price, along with their interchangeable R18 parts. FREEing is absolutely out of line with this unreasonably aggressive move - eStream-levels of capitalization, minus the ambition, minus the paintjob quality.
However, they kinda got our hearts hostage. NJ is a bunny motif by default design, and is in her prime nature in her bunny skin. Average/mediocre paintjobs, but nobody else can do real fishnet stockings as readily and with as much experience as FREEing (and her big sister, BINDing), who probably has them mass-manufacturered. Other than Shimakaze, there'll be no better bunny figure for an AL fan. This is designed to be the centerpiece of one's AL collection, in a mad retaliatory bid against their upstart rival Mimeyoi who stole the priceless Listless Lapin Le Malin bunny license from them, and the final harbinger to the death of our wallet-kun. To say I am hyped is an understatement! Revenge and Bellona look great. We get another of Javelin's sisters with Jarvis and she's cute. We finally get the last of the Illustrious sisters, Indomitable, and she is a goddess. Saving the best of the new ships for last, we get Vanguard as the UR and she looks absolutely incredible! That summon animation looks like something out of Sailor Moon! My wallet is very much in danger with that Agir skin and I'm ok with that. It's a great time to be a shikikan!

Also I missed the second META I did see screens on Discord for, and the translators saying it comes to OPSI the 6th. Which makes little sense to me as the current META ends the 31st. Extended, days of nothing? Wrong translations? We'll see.

Just got done with the grind for my final PR ship, and you can imagine what that did to my oil, so me and the girls are gonna be on vacation until the 26th. Daily missions and exercises, then done for the day. Don't worry, all the shipgirls they're asking me to limit break are already at the ready. I do admit that I might've hurt my cube supply trying to get Yoizuki, but I've still got almost 300, I'm still confident I can get enough cubes for pity before the event ends (assuming I even need it for Vanguard).
Also, H. Y. P. E. D. for those oath skins, as I've already oathed both Saratoga and New Jersey. Same for the Unicorn Retrofit.
Question is, who to give the other promise ring in the crate to? My short list is Javelin, Ayanami, Laffey, Kashino, and Emden. I can cross off the starters until I can oath them all at once (Z23 already has a ring), and I could give a ring to each, but I have a tradition of oathing all my gacha-obtained URs at this point. With Vanguard getting one, I'm gonna have to choose...
...eh. If it comes down to it, I can always let the Hunger Games Simulator decide.
You can easily get enough to pity should you need to, considering the ~300 free cubes per month rate or so in the game.
If you're uncertain, it never hurts to just hold onto the ring for safe keeping. You never know what future ships will catch your fancy. As with all manner of gacha currency, 1 unit stockpiled for future risk is worth more than 20 squandered on an impulse.
HMS Unicorn retro was my hype. She needed an art/skill upgrade and she looks so cute (also QE Retrofit copium 😩).
Also, do you speak Chinese/Japanese or do you have a super quick translator?

I wish I did, hahah. I just use context clues for the reaction, and edit in visual translations afterwards for updates.

I'm actually rather nonplussed by the upcoming event ships and skins, because, for better or worse, they are basically what I expected, with the only surprise being Chibi Cheshire. The presentation itself was wonderfully quirky and entertaining, albeit rushed (understandable, they were probably pressed for time in getting this done due to China Things™ happening) What's more interesting is the melee system being brought up again after so long. I recall they started working on this in response to the overall perception that destroyers were too weak in comparison to the other ship classes, so I'm wondering what the balance in power and functionality will be in implementing it across more vanguard ship types, and whether we'll start to see ships with melee focused skills. Based on the rough preview we're still probably a ways off from implementation, but until then we can enjoy the thought of Laffey taking a swig from her bottle in one hand, raising a knife with the other, and sleepily saying "I'm gonna cut you." 🤣

Sometimes just meeting expectations can be a good thing! At least it's not missing the mark too much for you then. The rush on the livestream felt nuts at times. I could barely keep up... I actually really didn't at times. But I do understand the stresses they're dealing with.
The melee system preview was quite interesting. Can't wait to see more on that, and what direction they'll take with how the current landscape is.
The mental imagery of belligerent Laffey swinging a knife made me laugh.
They never actually mentioned DDs with melee. They just showcased it with Laffey (as they did yet again) and then went silent entirely, and the community started filling the void with rumours like that.
That Agir Skin looks great and Agir and Shinano getting scale figures is soothes my soul. Two of my most wanted scales across all ships. Now, if only we could get a scale of Richelieu's Swimsuit skin...
With the rate they've been pumping them out, I wouldn't be surprised if we get a Richelieu swimsuit figure before too long!

Soooo hype, I love the new UR so much! Not that great that she's a battleship, I wanted a vanguard (we got Vanguard but she's not a vanguard) but regardless she looks amazing. She already won a place in my heart. Indomitable is very cute too, but I like Vanguard more. Also I'm so happy Boise is getting a new skin, another to add to my Boise skin collection (she's my favourite shipfu, as one could easily tell). Also the NJ oath! I really did think it was fake at first but I'm also not surprised it's the real deal, happy about that too. Unicorn refit! Man, so much to look forward to, they really went all out.

God the Amagi-chan model was so cute. PROTECC. Not sure why they blitzkrieg'd through everything, but I was able to catch a couple things that I missed last night.
I'm glad to get that NJ oath skin, and wew boy that Aegir skin is absolutely tasty; that's for sure a must-buy for me. Vanguard's design looks great, but Indomitable is low-key the chef's kiss of the new ship batch.
I do wonder if Vanguard will take the place of either NJ or UvH in the top 2, or if she'll slide into 3rd best BB ahead of FdG. We'll have to wait and see what her skills have in store (assuming they haven't been mined or leaked already).

We got ja-baited by the preview when it came to the UR. I think Indomitable would have been worthy of UR and it's a bit tiresome to get yet another UR BB, but I do want Vanguard. She looks like a younger Hood and though she seems lacking next to the other UR designs, I do like it.
This stream was an Any% Speedrun; almost no time to take anything in.
That Agir skin and Indomitable skin are instant-buys (though Indomitable's base skin, the uncensored one especially, is amazing). Also, the Forbin Oath skin was unexpected, but looks good.
Amagi-Chan was a highlight. She's precious.
I was totally duped by the Indomitable. Definitely thought she was going to be the UR.
The pace of the livestream made it really difficult to catch everything, to be honest. I'm definitely picking up both of those skins as well. Forbin was certainly a surprise.

Im both a genshin impact and an azur lane fan, for azur lane to come out with all of this new upcoming stuff is very exciting for me since stuff like pins, stamp books or even the plushies are very exciting to try and put money towards as long as they're obviously reasonably priced. But on gameplay side, we're obviously getting more ships and stuff that are always here with big updates, I do hope that taihou school skin is free too.

my most intresst is in the new equip thing and the game changes they want to do.
i just hope that this is the beginnig to make HMS relevant again, atm its a faction i mostly ignore, because they are - for me - the last interessting faction (ships and story).

We've come a long way! Some of the gacha I play are 8-9 years old now. It really does make you think about the journey.
I think they're going for an angelic design with clean and crisp colors. I do see the parallel to the French ships, but I feel like the French ships have more shielded armor in general, so I don't think it's pushing the comparison too hard.
I think the overall skin representation is actually quite even. I would have preferred the new Indomitable get a L2D, but otherwise it seemed fair. I do wish they came out with more Oath skins in general. I feel like those should be quicker to do than most others, and would incentivize a lot more ring purchases.
Metas looks pretty good! I couldn't catch all the specifics on the gameplay enhancements, but several of them sound pretty nice.
I think this will bring the faction up to story relevance, at least. I also think that these additions will make more HMS ships viable, even if full faction fleets might not be ideal for harder content.

I dont think when people were going into the stream, talking manjuu's wasnt something they expected. That said, glad to see NJ's oath skin in full glory and happy to see Agir now have a skin too. I know Vanguard's a Battleship, but ironically HMS needs some vanguard help rather then main fleet.

Here's s question for everyone:
If turning Meta = +1 rarity (elite to super rare, as an example)
Then does this mean that the next meta - repulse meta will be weaker since she's just a rare (which could mean she'll turn to elite rarity)?
Just asking since meta have been becoming stronger, so now they might be toning down the meta?
Elite METAs are Cruise Pass META's.
They have been uselessly very meh in performance though, yeah.

Someone said they've confirmed Repulse will be skipping a rarity and jumping to gold. I know that the "up one" rarity has been the standard up to this point, but that's never been a hard-fast rule. More just a general guide.
