  • UPDATE - 06/19/16 - We had this video unlisted back in April, as a ScreenJunkiesPlus interview - but with the sudden, shocking loss of Anton Yelchin, we wanted to share his full interview and celebrate his work here. He was such a kind & generous person that we lost way too soon, and we were huge fans. Rest in peace sir. Also, since many are asking - we wanted to share this as a tribute to a great actor, and no we are not monetizing on the video.
    ----
We had the opportunity to talk with "Green Room" director Jeremy Saulnier and actor Anton Yelchin (Chekov in Star Trek, Star Trek: Into Darkness).

The part in this interview at 7:30 where Anton takes a drink from his mug, recognizes why it's turned a certain way and smiles back at Alicia/Dan/whoever was such a nice little moment that was captured. Very sad to hear of his passing, he was way too young and had such a great career ahead of him. I think he was one of the most gifted young actors in the last few years. I haven't seen all of his movies but I really enjoyed him in the Star Trek movies but I think my favorite movie he's been in is 5 to 7. I just watched it a few months ago and absolutely loved it. I'll definitely have to check out Green Room and looking forward to seeing him one last time (sadly) as Chekov. RIP :(

One of my favourite young actors. He also seemed like a gem of a human being. This is so tragic and senseless, there are no words. I just feel so bad for his family, that this was so sudden - you never think a 27 year old is going to die.
I will always remember him in Hearts in Atlantis with Anthony Hopkins. He was so good in that, his genuineness and innocence made him feel like a real kid, not a Hollywood kid, and by the end he made me cry with is performance. He great in so many things, including Charlie Bartlett, one of my favourite high school movies. He will not be forgotten, and he has left a great legacy in film.
