This video and the one you just dropped about salt were so powerful and insightful, I sent it to most of my friends. I think people have less patience these days, including me, but I love your videos. Most tell you to slow down, but I advise them to go to settings and change the playback to .75 but I speed you up because I am a retired scientist and know the jargon and my brain is wired for fast. I watch most videos at 1.5 but you are good at 1.25. I like you videos at least 30' because I watch a new one on the bike and then the elliptical at the gym. Time goes by fast while I learn a lot! You are a credit to your med school, your universities, your parents, and your family!

Whole foods are hit or miss. Mushy mango. Flavorless tomato. Mealy apple. Strawberries that grow fuzzy seemingly just hours after purchase. I'm a low income senior who can't take a chance on foods that I might throw away. I usually limit my fruits to no-sugar-added dried varieties.

Make your own peanut butter. Use DRY-ROASTED (no oil added), UNSALTED peanuts and blend them until smooth in a food processor or high-speed blender. Store in a clean, glass jar covered tightly in the fridge. It won't separate!

@@Healthyimmunedoc I like to eat my peanuts whole. The chewing releases the proper enzymes in the mouth and the benefits are much higher than a smooth, non chewable butter. I also eat my dates with tea or coffee instead of any sugar. The dates are incredibly sweet and my sleep has improved 100%

From copilot: Fructose is a simple sugar (monosaccharide) with the chemical formula C(_6)H(_12)O(_6). It is commonly found in fruits, honey, and some vegetables. The molecule can exist in different forms, including a six-membered ring (pyranose) and a five-membered ring (furanose) structure12.

Sugar is the hardest thig I've ever tried to kick. Only smoked pot once & never did any other drugs.
I have 3-4 cups of alcohol throughout the year because of a particular drink craving, but that's it. Started smoking at 11, quit when I was 12.
And have quit caffeine off & on. I can take it or leave it, but the sugar... My God the sugar... That has been so hard to kick for decades!

I used to not eat it because I thought it was high in calories, but it's been wonderful for my sugar cravings, helps me feel full and is great for constipation which I've suffered from my entire life. Thank you again for all of your videos and recommendations. Hope you have a great weekend.

After living in Singapore more than 7 years, I watched hundreds of skinny girls and women and elderly women ( all thin) down bowls of rice and or noodles three times a day. They took the MRT and never exercised. Maybe they were skinny fat, but they were not overweight! I agree that Asians are different. i now live in Thailand where many are thin but as they age they do get a bit chubby. They also eat rice and noodles but a lot of desserts and fruits. They put spoons of sugar in all their dishes! I see this daily! They sell MSG like bags of sugar here and they add it to everything! However, for the amount of desserts and sugar and white carbs that they eat and no one is obese, proves to me that Asians handle carbs differently. Caucasians eat the same amount of rice and noodles and get fat!
