Stop eating sugar and your body will thank you in unbelievable ways!!!!!❤
As a farmer I wouldn't worry too much about buying grassfed beef. We have a cow calf operation and feedlot; during the summer the cattle are in pasture and in the winter because there is no grass they get fed alfalfa, corn, ground hay, and minerals. Our feedlot is from fall to spring and the calves get fed the same thing, and I have never even heard of someone putting antibiotics in their feed. It would be incredibly expensive; what is actually done is if a calf gets sick it is separated, treated, and is kept track of because most beef (as long as you aren't buying terrible quality) is going to be antibiotic free. The order from highest concentration to lowest of feed is silage, ground hay, haylage, earlege, distillers, and liquid mineral. Silage is around 25% starch which is far less than earlage(60%) which is less than ground corn kernals(70%).
Not meeeee!!! 💁🏽♀️ only because my body was at the brink of collapse before I realized I was being POISONED!!! Hi, please may i ask , how long did you fast for to heal your gut ? after antibiotics years ago , i have a damaged gut and colitis now , many thanks , linda .
What most people don't know is.. starch in the form of pasta, crackers, bread, etc. is sugar! Sometimes higher glycemic than sugar! Not to mention all the hidden garbage they put in these "foods".. I think every packaged food/drink should have the glycemic index level on the label! Clear and concise, bold on the front! Australia does it! That is how I learned about it 20 years ago from someone I met a long time ago, Logitech, if you're reading this... THANK YOU! .. it served me well when I stayed at 30 and below on the glycemic index level chart.. I went from a size 14 down to a healthy size 3, but I was also weight training along with eating right and drinking the right amount of water.
If you refrigerate pasta, rice, and bread it lowers the glycemic index, a lot. And if you freeze it, even more. And if you toast bread that’s been frozen, even more
I call it Carb Sludge. Starch, Oil, Sugar; plus whatever flavors etc are needed to make it look like what it's supposed to be (muffin, bread, snack bar etc). The tragedy of Carb Sludge based foods is that they are very low in good quality protein. Likely Soy Protein will be added to make it less abysmally deficient, but the Vegan proteins will not nourish you sufficiently to be strong and vital.
I've been so sick for so long, I didn't think there was any hope. I've been researching information from this channel for years and I believe it's why I'm still alive today.
I agree with you 100%, but the problem is most Americans can't afford grass fed and finished beef and organic foods when they have a family to feed. I only survive on social security and do the best I can to buy as much organic as possible. Some items I won't buy/eat if it isn't organic and if I can't afford I just don't buy it. I can rarely afford organic meat and/or grass fed. I constantly look for sales or marked down packages.
@benton-benton I have gone vegetarian several times. I am not a big meat eater anyway. However, I was raised eating meat, and I will always eat meat on occasion.
I would love to buy grass fed but it’s cost prohibitive. Heck, even regular meat is costly these days. Never have I expected to be paying almost $8/lb for ground beef - regular, not lower fat.
Since I've been watching these videos and following the suggestions on how and what to eat, my skin (acme) has cleared up, my joints don't ache and hurt so much and my digestive issues have all but gone away. I still get some intentional issues when I go off the healthy eating routine. I no longer wake up with throbbing headaches (no its not a hangover), no more rashes or inflammation. Thank you Dr. Berge for doing the research and the work and posting these videos. Its really made a difference for the better in my life.
Right? I’m always hearing “we consume this everyday” and I’m like “who? I sure don’t.” I eat meat, eggs, bone broth, cheese, butter and fruit. And some cacao/honey. Most satisfying diet.😊
Oh god, please no. I eat almost 0 seed oils every day. Love my berries, but don't do really any of the higher sugar fruits. I eat grass-fed beef and lamb, and free-range and pastured eggs and chicken where we can afford it. I make my own milk kefir, water kefir, kombucha, saurkraut, etc. Almost no processed food. Its doable, if you can afford it. You can cut corners, but don't buy processed food if you can help it. Just eat as whole foods as possible. I'm almost 40 and my mom is 73, my wife 50. We all are super careful what we eat and drink. None of us are on any medication.

Everytime I eat anything with corn in any form I get psoryasis on my hand. I went to see so many doctors and they never tested me for corn intolerance or allergy, they tried gluten, lactose etc but didn’t find anything. They just said they didn’t know. One day after eating pop corn I had a massive psyoriasis attack on my hand and it hitted me. Since I’ve eliminated it completely from my diet, it never happened again. Not once. Scary stuff. I was raised with corn. Ate it all my life. Even fresh corn starts it. I just say that in case, if it can help somebody who struggles to understand where bloating or psoryasis comes from. I grew up in Indiana where the Angus cow across the street eating contently ended up in our freezer by fall. It was the BEST flavor I have ever had and I can still bring up that memory. Now I don't eat meat because it is taking the life of a sentient being.
I would love to buy grass fed - grass finished. The issue is being retired and needing to watch every penny. In the NNK of Virginia grass finished is $23lbs. You don’t buy grass fed from store you buy from a local farmer…you may have to travel to get it…..so make a weekend of it. my price to farmer..3.75lb….90 cents a pound to butcher….50.00 kill fee. So! 4.65 lb. For every bit of meat cut….from burger to rib eyes, to roasts. im single so 200lbs is 700, plus 180 …880….a seven cubic chest freezer, lasts a year or more. And works out to less than a 100 a month. Same with eggs….i buy from a lady that pasture raises her hens…3.00 a dozen. I was paying 5…but I but five doz at a time. So I’ve invested in a freeze dryer this year….i do my left overs into ready made meals, or dry can the food, worth the investment.
Even though wheat is not a GMO per se, breeding scientists have done some big changes on wheat to improve its yield and have taken the diploid wheat to a hexaploid form meaning that the genetic material went from 2 to 6 in a short time and the human body has not had the time to adjust and perhaps that is why many intolerances and even allergies are reported. Durum wheat is tetraploid (for pasta) and bread wheat is hexaploid, also American wheat varieties have more gluten content than the European ones.

I wish I could, but as an early childhood educator not getting paid anywhere near what I am worth, the increasing cost of food and gas, a rent increase coming in 2 months, and my income not increasing in accordance with the cost of living, there is just no way I can afford to buy grass fed anything. It really is. I can buy a full grown turkey... Or 4.5 pounds of regular, no-frill ground beef from walmart. Roundabouts the same price. Beef prices are crazy. Wonder why. 😒

An important point to understand from this is that true herbavores get fat and sick eating sugars and starches just like we do. A zoo keeper would never feed a valuable gorilla sugars and starches because he knows it will become sick (like the cattle). They are fed fiber only. Apparantly we are more valuable to our keepers when we are sick. Support RFK in his efforts to reverse this.

I did fasting for a couple years, which helped too, but talk about a 180....All my symptoms are gone! I've never felt this good.

I went from a size 14 down to a healthy size 3, but I was also weight training along with eating right and drinking the right amount of water.
im australian and didnt know they rate glycemic index specifically
