Hey, just cause we might like em don't mean they aren't good. :) (Actually I did think the first run of TT's were kinda too cutesy for my taste, but you can do things with some of the trim levels. I think they did sell a lot of pretty-base models with automatics to a certain set, though.) And F-types are just pretty. I'd love one of the supercharged sixes with the old-fashioned manual, I think. :) White or some vintage light color. (I think boys overlook them a lot cause there's better places to go for the real big horsepower numbers. Car gals might tend to be more about the whole experience and all, if you took a poll. I tend to like things that'd make a good grand tourer. )
I’m getting ready to buy my first TT and I’ve been watching millions of videos about them but this was by far the best! Loved it. Even more excited about my car now 😁😁
In 2007 I bought a 2005 S-line TT 3.2 quattro with dsg with only 14k miles on it. It’s been the best car I’ve ever owned. In all that time the only repairs it’s needed was 1 brake light switch, and just recently, a new fuel pump. The DSG transmission is perfection... always perfect shifting with the paddles or in auto, never the slightest issue (it won’t ALLOW the driver to go over redline nor lug the engine ) one of the things I love about it is everything inside that looks like metal- IS metal. The aluminum vent controls are actual aluminum and as a result, 15 years later they still look like new. The 3.2 has NO serpentine belt to worry about. 250 hp and so much torque that the transmission shifts into 6th at 35 mph and gives me around 30 mpg. It has loads of storage room, is nimble, quick, and surefooted in any kind of weather. And is still a design tour de force 20 years after its introduction. The best car Audi ever produced. Oh- and BTW... The 3.2 with DSG goes 0-60 in under 6 seconds.
moe hassan - mechanically, none at all other than those I mentioned. I had to replace the spark coils twice over 13 years, but I consider that ordinary maintenance. The only issues the car has are related to it being 15 years old and having been parked in the sun all that time. There’s 2 trim strips running down the roof that need repainting and the top surface of the spoiler also needs repainting... but the body paint looks pretty great... only just now showing any wear on the clear coat. I repolished the headlights. And the weather seals on the windshield and a couple body panels are getting gummy. Because of 15 years of california sun on the roof, the headliner is starting to pull away in one spot, so I’m having it recovered. I got it when it had only 14K on it... off a lease, and the previous driver was a young woman, so I knew the car had been properly broken in, and had not been abused by some testosterone poisoned doofus trying to drag race or drift. The 3.2L 6 is one of the best engines Audi ever made. Not over compressed, no turbo, and with a timing chain instead of those serpentine belts that can go without warning. If you look for one, try to find one that was not abused or modified. Car mods almost always indicate an abusive driver. Oh- it does have one problem all TTS and A3’s of the early 2000s have... in the center of the instrument cluster is an info display of red diodes, that over the years have lost enough diodes to not be fully readable anymore. Unfortunately, you have to pull the dash to replace it and replacing that one screen requires replacing the whole cluster. An $1,800 part. The engineers should have made that display easily popped out and replaceable, since diodes always eventually go bad. Stupid to have to replace 4 perfectly good gauges just to fix a $20 monochrome flat screen.

In Kingman Az where I live they shut down RT66 for a week each year and set up a 1/8th mi drag strip. My car is on warranty but ran in pure stock vs all cars with street tires. On 10/23/21 I raced a new C8 corvette beating his 8.5second et with my TTRS completing 220yds in 7.9seconds 99mph. We were the only cars stock on warranty. I doubt they'll cover it as it's not sold in the US, hasn't been for decades. Thanks to the Chicken Tax. What I'd rather see is a Wheelhouse episode exploring the Chicken Tax, it's history, pros and cons, who supports it (Big Three presumably), and the impact it has on the US auto market, in particular what trucks are popular around the world (Mitusbishi Triton, Volkswagen Amarok, and others) that we don't see in the US because of it, allowing the Big Three to dominate that market. I'd thought that maybe pickup trucks were the one thing the Big Three were good at (they aren't doing too well in other markets) but when I traveled abroad I saw that pickup trucks are everywhere in Guatemala, used mostly as work vehicles or a form of public transit (they just throw people in the back where there's a sort of metal cage to hang onto - there's no such thing as safety laws there to say the least) but never models we Yanks see, no Big Three, which would imply that other types are better where they are sold. My MK2 2009 2.0TFSi is my daily driver and is still an absolute please to drive. People often misjudge them of the line because they hook up and go like a Jack Russel with turpentine brushed on their behind. But my next vehicle will be an SQ5 Love the Channel. Watch it all the time. Silly but entertaining!

One of the fastest tuned drag car in China is a TT RS. With race fuel it makes about 1500 hp to the crank. The quarter mile time was 8.93 secs with about 1000hp to the crank (in 2019). It’s going to drag race with an h2r recently in a private airport
Please do the Audi R8 next, the car is more than just a discount Huracán.
Loved the Route 66 autobahn joke, really clever use of German to add that tasty extra layer to it.
Became my dream car after this episode came out. Just bought one
Resume: you can’t afford a R8
Tough but true
How true...
@@cn2673 Overpriced?
Not really
Garbage?
Only if you don't know anything about cars
Which you most defenetly don't
And yet if u drop 10k u can outperform the r8
@@cyberspino6277 And yet you can build a car for 50k to outrun every super car there is, what's your point?
Lol every time this is in my feed I’m like oh yea it’s Thursday
I love the 1st Gen Audi TT
I love the fact that james is wearing the legend nakeyjakey 's gear
Early Version: " Highspeed-automatic-crash-car
At 9:35 he tosses the paddle and just stares, but it went to ad and it went together so well.
Me: Can I get Episode on Abarth pls??
Le James(Chugs NOS) : Lighting.... Lighting...Lighting..... Brrrpp...
Me: i lav ya...
Maaaaan the TT and the focus are going away so freakin sad! I love fast lil cars.
Klent Watkins only focus that’s fast is the RS
My dream car. I’m mad they’re discontinuing it in the U.S
JAMES with that NakeyJakey Merch!!! Hell Yeah!!
nakeyjakey merch. serious sophistication
My MK2 2009 2.0TFSi is my daily driver and is still an absolute please to drive. People often misjudge them of the line because they hook up and go like a Jack Russel with turpentine brushed on their behind. The space inside is surprisingly good and with the rear seats down I have managed to fit a wheelbarrow in the boot (It was a dare). I have 243000km on the clock and it's still going strong. But my next vehicle will be an SQ5
Love the Channel. Watch it all the time. Silly but entertaining!
James, I believe that the "RS" is "Renn Sport" not "Rally Sport"
Renn Sport in German translates to Motorsport!
Well, racing sport, Motorsport also works in German as a word, but yeah
Or it mean „Richtig schnell“? :D
No. It's Racing Sport.
The Nakey Jakey shirt is bringing this all together.
My best friends dad has a TT and he looooves it he won't stop talking about it at least he's happy
Everything you need to know: Opel Kadett GSI
Kadett*
The “ploonk” with the paddle got me dead omg why is that so funny
