This is why you're my favorite lawn UA-camr!! That is exactly what most people have to deal with, actual real life. Yes sometimes we have the free time to put extra tlc into the lawn, but then life gets busy.
The problem I have with people who "do the lawn for fun" and don't treat it as equally important as the rest of the house are the people that I immediately subtract 15-20k from the asking price of a house when they go to sell because of neglect. Yep, 15-20k, and it sets the tone for how I inspect the rest of the property. The fact of the matter is this, you spend 100's of thousands of dollars and forget you're not only buying the house, you are buying the yard and the community. And yep, its how I have been successful in buying multiple houses. Fact is people, you're not buying just the house, but you are buying the yard also. Super Juice is a mild fertilizer and never promoted as the "lawn savior", its a mild supplement, mix it with Mycorrhizal fungi when temps are above 80 and you have a fantastic mild fertilizer at a very inexpensive cost.
Thanks for the insight Mark. I agree with you on the value of the home being based off the lawn as well. But the point is that no matter how right we are doesn't mean that other people have to agree as well. It doesn't bother me when other people don't place the same level of importance on their lawn as I do. I don't understand why people get so bent out of shape over what other people care about. I have no clue what's going on in their lives. Perhaps the lawn is the least of their concerns and have so much bigger fish to fry. But it always cracks me up when I can tell the video strikes a nerve in someone who disagrees as it has done here. Especially from the Doc fanboys. Don't have a problem with what other people. You do you.
I worked with an older guy and I was telling him how my 12yr old son was tearing up my lawn with his motorcycle. He said let him go one day you'll wish you could see him out there doing that. I didn't understand it at the time but now my son is turning 40 and now I understand it. what I would give to see him on that little motorcycle again tearing up my lawn. Thanks
Lol love the video brother. I been doing lawns for years and my personal lawn is my baby and always has been, I’m a little psycho when it comes to it, sometime I say (like you) I’m just going to let it go, that don’t last long and I’m out there lol maybe one of these days I will get to the point where I don’t care. Unfortunately right now is not the time lol. I know who your talking about with the doc recommendations, and I would agree that channel has turned into a huge commercial. I appreciate your candor and I love the video in which you say you get what you give. I also always say in my videos, every lawn has its issues, there is no perfect Lawn. I had many issues last year, hopefully this year is better, I have a soil ph and phosphorus issue lol - thanks for sharing great video my friend
Just making the point that you don’t need the boujee products to fix an ugly lawn. They’re all just sales gimmicks. Some people play that game; I play this one. Nothing personal. Thanks for watching.
“Nothing personal” yet takes shots at another. The video would have been great if you didn’t feel the need to throw dirt unnecessarily. Screams of someone wanting views.
Thanks man. Appreciate that. I agree. We’re starting to carve out a segment of the community that’s starting to realize many of the other lawns they see may look great but come at a ridiculous sacrifice that’s just not worth making. 👊👊
Lawncare is definitely a merit-based system for sure! I'm a father and love my children and have found out that you can achieve both quality time with the family and quality time with your lawn because too much time with both (especially with your children) can drive you absolutely insane!!! 😂😂😉
I appreciate your videos. I like a nice lawn and envy the "perfect" lawns I see others have. The more I try to fix mine, the more relentless I realize weeds are. But every minute I spend in the yard is one I can't spend with my wife, daughters & God. Thanks for helping me find balance. God bless you.
Thank you. Happy to hear you enjoy them. You're so right. Too much time spent is time taken away from more important things. Glad you found this video helpful. Really appreciate you watching and commenting.
Not much. The little I've dealt with, I just pull by hand and have eradicated it with cultural practices for the most part. Hope this helps. Thanks so much for watching and the question.
Ok, I think I understand. I'm definitely too anal and compulsive with too little patience for this, thats my BIG problem. I'm trying too hard to fix My Brother's mess, it's a shame because a few years ago our lawn looked like Yankee Stadium but he beat it to death and didn't know how to properly take care of it, so now I inherited weeds and dirt. It took me since last year to absorb all the information I could and through my own trial and errors I now believe I have the right format for how to attack this in the spring. Right now I'm laying down the post and pre-emergents and eradicating the weeds so I can reseed in the spring and hopefully that'll give us back something resembling a lawn again😮
@@BudgetLawns Yeah, all of the above including a hundred dollars worth of brand new DVD-R's that I happened to have in the house, suspended by twine back and forth across the yard, the neighbors definitely think I'm sick in the head. Turns out that NYC wildlife isn't all that afraid of too many things, I was so out of my mind infuriated that I thought about cats, that and I threw a few shots at them with a BB pistol but I didn't feel like having any Karen's getting me SWAT'ed so I stopped..... oh yeah was I pissed!!! I thought of poison but its $500 but after I calmed down I really didn't want to be a bird killer. I priced nets but the idea of stringing up 100' X 50' nets is pretty crazy and difficult.
Well bk out to the shop Travis.....2 more 8 ft led,s , change hyd fluid in car lift and lil more electrical stuff before i call it a nite...ttys✌then i can 💤like a 👶
Thank you! Ain't that the truth...no one notices. Our lawns just end up looking like everyone else's. Haha. By most accounts...that's normal. Appreciate ya.
Great video! As our house is at the front of our neighborhood, I get a lot of compliments on the lawn and they always say 'You must love doing this'. I tell them, no I pretty much hate it, especially this time of year here in Florida, but if I'm going to do it, I try and do my best. It's college football season, so it's family, football and the lawn way behind. Thanks for the great perspective!!
I feel ya man. Anything we do, we gotta at least give it our best. But that's tough once college football kicks off for sure. Hogs and Gators had some scares yesterday, but a win is a win. Appreciate ya watching and commenting.
Family first, always, full stop. Excellent points bud! My wife, kids, and I spend our evenings pretty much the same way. We started taking turns making up bedtime stories.
Thank ya sir. I know you got that figured out too! 👊👊That's why I appreciate your content. It's real. I understand why your lawn isn't "perfect." Unfortunately, people are starting to equate lawn youtubers with "perfect" lawns. That's dumb.
Builder installed them. Drainage is good back there. No settling. It can pour rain in the morning and I could mow by afternoon. It’s nice. They’re about to build homes behind us. Hopping that doesn’t disrupt my drainage. Appreciate ya watching.
You are right on the money. Family, commitments and life come first. Taking care of the lawn is something I do for fun, sometimes I put more effort into it while other times, not so much. I was told once by a greens keeper, "it's only grass...don't sweat it" That one statement really connected with me.
He was right. Unfortunately, as this hobby has grown online, it has turned into perfection or bust. I wanna do my part to keep the perfectionists from ruining it for people like us. Appreciate ya watching and your comment.
Ok I can't take it anymore. Gotta ask. This time of year. California. Bermuda still green and growing. Mowing at 13/16". But now worm castings. More and more every morning. Good or bad. I hate it I try to brush it away and I have clay soil so leaves brownish blades then. Any way to get rid of these dam things or just let it ride
I've never really dealt with worm castings so I don't have a solid answer for ya. But from what I've heard, they can be a never ending battle. Worms in the soil are good though, so it's kind of a give and take.
Great Video and I do agree with what your saying. Cool season grass is a bit different. Get it right early because come summer time it's a lost cause here in NJ. I hope one day to grow some easy Bermuda if I relocate. Much more forgiven and since my kids are grown I have the time. 👍🏻
Thanks man. But if we wanna talk about easy, let's talk about the cool season guys with perennial rye grass. Throw it down and you have a lawn in days. I think you're thinking bermuda is that easy. It's not. It's just different.
@@BudgetLawns Oh, I agree. PRG is sissy grass. I'm a KBG fan. Actually seeding some ProVista KBG now. Cool season grass gets 2 seasons but warm season grass isn't that hard to maintain in Summer months as cool season. I would absolutely love Bermuda grass if NJ was the right climate for it. KBG is my cool season Bermuda if that makes sense. 👍🏻 I would do very well with Bermuda since I have the time and desire to do so. Maybe one day.
I have a Zoysia section in my side yard that looks great and I didnt touch it yet the TTTF that is beside it is dead. Big difference between cool season and warm. Much more maintenance with cool season unfortunately .
Eh, I could make similar arguments about bermuda this time of year. Our nights have been in the 50s. That has slowed it down big time. Color fades fast. And no rain makes it worse. We have our struggles in the spring and fall here in the transition zone with a warm season grass. It's a short season if you think about it. I knew this argument and excuses were coming and not surprised its you. Sorry man. Just being honest.
@@BudgetLawns No reason to apologize. I honestly love warm season grass however the season is way to short. Doesnt green up till may and starts declining end of Sept. I'm just being honest saying that warm season grass is much easier to maintain overall. Time for me is not a problem in the lawn fortunately. I could grow Bermuda "My secret favorite" but season would be over before it started. No offense at all taken. I love your videos .sorry you took my comment wrong.
🏈 Ha! Should have seen my lawn when I had 4 little ones running around. After dinner we’d play hours of football in the back yard with PVC field goals 😂. Pasture for sure! Great video, brother!! Family first! 👍
Haha, that's what I'm talking about 👊👊. That was my lawn growing up. PVC soccer goal, baseball soft toss net, and a golf net. I want to make sure I don't deprive my kids of those things because of grass. You were a great dad no doubt. Thanks as always bud.
Can’t argue with that. It’s amazing just what a minimal effort will do to a lawn and make it look better than average. Keep making memories, I’m doing the same
It’s really is. Doesn’t take much. Thanks so much man. I like your style. We’ll want those memories one day. What our lawn looked like won’t mean a thing. Appreciate you.
Having a family dinner every night is hugely important and I’m sure they appreciate you sacrificing some lawn time for them. Sounds like you’ve got a great family, congratulations!
You're so right. I grew up that way and realize how important it is for my kids. Far more important than spending that time in the lawn. I'm very blessed. Thank you so much. Hope you have a great weekend!
I’m with you, friend! My daughter still goes to bed early (7) so in the summer I’m always able to mow after bedtime. Now, it takes me two nights. I make it work though. That time is valuable. You can’t get it back. WPS! What a close call.
Preach it brother. Time flies and the kids grow too fast. We are basically an empty nester now. 2 of the 3 k are already out of the house and the 3rd is 27. I do spend much time on my lawn as its a hobby and a form of exercise for this old man. When I do get busy with work and life the lawn has declined in the past but like you said with a little work and effort it does rebound. Winter here is my time to relax but is boring at times and also get less exercise so I will admit I look forward to Spring each season.
Sort of I have st Augustine and I have a few dead patches unsure if I should scarify or dethatch those dead spots only and I have a back yard that has a ton of weeds and the grass is Bermuda just unsure if I should plow the yard and start over. I have 3 areas of yard, backyard, half of front yard and other half. All 3 yards have different issues and different grass types just unsure where to start
On the dead patches, you could remove the dead material and promote growth from around to fill in those spots via stolons. For the Bermuda and weeds, I’ve been through that before. A lot of my earlier videos tackle that information. I took a weed filled front lawn with very little Bermuda to weed free and full of Bermuda. Hope you’ll check those vids out. Thanks for watching.
Very well said! Family has to come first. I enjoy having a nice lawn but even more fun to see my boys trample it after my hard work! Just a few more years though and I will teach them how to maintain it and pass the torch to them!
Nail on the head! I've felt this way all season, but I convinced myself that it was just laziness trying to take over, and I didn't want to be a quitter. 3 daughters and a wife, full time professional job and a lawn maintenance company on the side. I poured a ton of effort into my own lawn for the last few years. I would get bent out of shape when it was not as good as I thought it should be. At the end of it all, I feel like I could have done half as much, if not more and still had similar results. Just like any hobby or project, you can take anything the the highest degree. For a determined, hardworking person, it's easy to get carried away, without noticing the value of what that hobby is replacing. I'm just not doing it anymore! So thankful fall is approaching! Thank you for your great, down to earth, no-nonsense videos! I think you just found your next project for the spring. Use a friend or neighbor. What is the bare minimum amount of work, money, product etc., that will still produce a lawn that you can be happy with.
So much of this hits home, man. Don't know that I could put it into words any better. Thanks so much for sharing. I have a feeling lawn care is gonna start getting more fun again taking it back to the roots where it all began...just having fun, not trying to impress. I like your idea. Really appreciate ya watching and commenting. 👊👊
Mother nature ruled me this year, no rain all summer but once we did finally get that few inches of rain my yard did a 180. Last month of my season should make up for the blah summer lol
So many times I've seen my neighbors working the lawn for hours while their little kids were in their driveways being ignored playing by themselves. Work the lawn don't let it work you. It's just grass...great video!!!!!
I've been that dad before and realized how pathetic it looked. Not anymore. You make a good point...work the lawn, don't let it work you. I like that. Good stuff. Thanks so much!
So do you actually talk about how to fix a lawn fast? I’m 3/4’s in. Maybe the last min of the video? I’m really happy for you you love your family. Here’s a medal. 🏅
I have 200 videos on my channel that talk about how to fix a lawn. Come on Cole, don’t be such a baby. If you paid attention instead of thinking about a smart a** comment, you would hear how I have fixed 2 lawns fast. It’s always the clueless ones in the lawn that whine. No wonder their lawns suck. They want what they want right when they want it. That’s not lawn care. Find something else champ.
Haven't watched many of your vids since you moved into the new place, but the landscaping looks fantastic! Well done. I think I've said it before, but your philosophy on lawn care is very similar to mine, and great to have that voice of reason on here. Recently had a new baby, and obviously the lawn suffered, as it was only getting a mow out of necessity, but wouldn't have it any other way. Lots of things are more important, and it will recover when the time avails itself.
Thank you. Appreciate the kind words. Congrats on the baby. You definitely spent that time wisely and will never regret it. That lawn will always be there. They're only babies for a short period of time. Congrats again.
Even with irrigation my lawn went partially dormant this season. Its already coming back fast with the weather shift. With that said, I'm spending less time on my lawn and making fewer videos myself. More to do than obsess over the lawn. Enjoying making fewer videos than many videos. 😶
Man it’s so tough to keep up with everything. Just trying takes the fun out of all of it sometimes. Balance is key. Appreciate ya watching and chiming in. Glad to hear you’re finding that balance 👊👊
I agree with you on spending time with the kids as much as you can. Blink and they'll be moving out. I blinked and now have a 12 year old and an 8 year old. The lawn will be there later on. I'm not getting any rain and going to have weather in the 90's next week too. Not looking forward to it.
Thanks buddy. Crazy how fast time flies. Stay cool next week. Let’s keep our fingers crossed for a drop in temps and some of the wet stuff. Appreciate ya bro.
It’s funny I always start out strong in the spring cutting two to three times a week then slowly by the end of summer I’m down to once every two weeks.😂
I feel ya man. I'm a big believer in balance and everything has its season. Too much of anything can be bad. Good thing is, next season, you can get it right back to all its glory. Appreciate ya watching and commenting.
I gave up and sold the reel a month ago. I miss the way it looks, but man, half the time mowing and stuff is a load off my shoulders. Sure the lawn doesn’t look like the golf course any longer, but it is still the top 10% of the hood because I mow twice a week and water with irrigation. Excited for the new journey without the reel for a full season next year.
Ain’t no shame man. I’ve been rotary mowing all summer and have thoroughly enjoyed it. Totally get where you’re coming from. I miss the look but the time saved is well worth. Appreciate ya watching and commenting!
Irrigation has been off for 2 weeks, no fert since July, haven’t mowed in a little over a week. It’s fine. Totally agree with you. It’s even more true as the kiddos get older… I don’t mow when they’re home and wanting to hang out.
Update to my Last ....helped a friend yesterday with prep, seed, fert etc on his 12k sq ft lawn...Yea 12k lmao....point is I did not water mine , nor will I today!!! "waiting for lawn Gods on youtube heads to EXPLODE!!!🤣Literally have rewatched this 3 times , "wife watched with the 3rd time" ...what im getting at is , I have a ton of stuff to do before it gets to cold and it will get done but im not gonna kill myself to keep up with the jones'..My life My pace lol . wish i knew i way to show pics of the lawn , 5 days germination , now on day 12 and 2 to 3",s in most areas with some that are in need of help but it sure is Purty 😉😆😁 take care Bud & GL against Texas A&M
Dang that's a huge lawn and a lot of work. Haha, I bet they're going to lose their minds for sure. Still no rain in 3 weeks here with none in the long range forecast. Boy are we turnin' brown. Thank you to you and your wife for watching so many times. I really appreciate the support. It definitely helps the channel. I'm lovin' the outlook bro. It's so worth it. Thank you for sharing man. Go Hogs Go!
@@BudgetLawns hey Travis , forgot to tell ya...home depot has some fert on sale!!! i picked up 2 bags of scotts winterguard for 15 bucks each here ...thats like 10$ off each!!!! its crack for the lawn 32-0-10....good for late fall boost and spring. Because Fert is Fert!!!!🤣
@@BudgetLawns Just a lil bump , i know the busy weekends with kids...mine are grown so.......i get to get out and look for that stuff now lol.....amazing how time flies brother 1 day your baby girl is 5, 10 ...then you blink and holy shittt shes 21 in jan 2023!!! enjoy every second!!! Lost time with our children growing up is truly lost....cant get that back!!!! For a "yungin" lol you have a good head on dem shoulders!!! 🤣#MUSTABEENRAISEDRITE...ttyl
Gentlemen witness the final stage of lawn care neglect syndrome- acceptance that your lawn sucks and that we’re the bad guys for wanting to take care of it
I haven't mowed in a week and I go on vacation the following week. 😅 Crazy thing is I mowed the day before we leave and it won't get mowed for another 10 days and I'm sure it's still going to look good.
Good stuff! To quote a UA-camr you referenced…”I want you to apply it, and apply it often. Of course he does, he sells the way-overpriced stuff on Amazon! Not sure how/why people buy into it! Love your common sense videos.
Thank you. It really is amazing, but it doesn't surprise me. A lot of folks are sheeple and will blindly walk off a cliff if some "authority" figure online tells them to. Even in lawn care. It's just easier that way. Appreciate ya watching and supporting the videos! 👊👊
Hey brother, I’m right there with you. Family comes first. I love your channel because you give regular dads like me good and helpful information. Please, keep doing what you’re doing because obviously you’ve got followers that appreciate you. Soooooo, my dilemma is that I have bermuda in the back lawn and st agustine in the front. I just bought this house in May and both of my lawns look great due to your advice and other UA-camr’s that talk about st agustine. My issue is that I love my bermuda more than my st agustine and I really want to replace my front st agustine lawn with bermuda. Can you give me advice on how to do that? I have been watching your old video’s and maybe i haven’t gotten to that part yet, so it would help if you dropped a link to an old video of yours or shared a few tips. Thanks a bunch and I’m sorry if I’m asking for a lot. (P.s. I’m appreciative of your “budget lawn tips” as i don’t have all the money in the world to throw into lawn care lol)
Thanks so much man. Really appreciate the kind words and your support. I wanna direct you to Don's Lawns channel. He has a whole playlist that shows exactly how he successfully did this in his back yard. It turned out great. Hope this helps. Thanks again! ua-cam.com/play/PLvAB1cAObXnnK7gXiOwPbOmkOW-huT921.html
Jorge, my long lost friend. Where have you been? I’ve sorely missed you. There’s no time for a baditude. Turn that frown upside down. Everything will be all right. 👊👊
time spent=money spent, listen I'm a realist, my back yard is 6k sq ft and no sprinkler system, it'll never be a golf course. so my strategy is to use a pre-emergent in the spring, spray Tenacity to kill the broadleaf weeds early summer, get the low hanging fruit, Eco or Milorganite in the summer, overseed in fall with tall fescue and you know what, it's green, even in summer heat and drought, that crabgrass and tall fescue combo is tough stuff, we're talking 4 or 5 Saturdays all year and I have more free time.
When my kids were growing up they were my priority. Lawn care was way down on the list. Today I am retired and I have lawn care as one of my hobbies to occupy my time. It is challenging and gives me a sense of accomplishment that my job used to provide. I love it when the kids next door come over and roll around and play on my grass.
Hiya Travis brother!..Wow!…Rule #1 of Lawncology 👑…NEVER put the lawn before family!..that why you wear the crown brother!…family everything!…Hogs win!🐗..IU gets 🍀..☮️❤️🏈🏌🏻
Yesssssiiiirrrr. Family first always. Man my hogs barely escaped that one. Scary game. A win is a win tho. Thanks so much as always. Grateful for your continued support.
Ok, here you are though. 🤷♂️ if you haven’t figured out by now that that’s how 99.99999999% of UA-cam works, I don’t know what to tell ya. But I disagree. The content of the video speaks to not needing products…exactly like super juice. Would you have rather me said PGF Complete or something from the golf course lawn academy? I could have used any commercialized lawn care placebo if you wanted me to. Thanks for watching though.
Those aren't military helicopters. They are THE LAWN POLICE HELICOPTERS!🤣 Seriously, with your kids, the days are long but the years are short. You have your priorities right.
Haha, I feel ya man. I'm getting tired of the back yard too. But the front yard won't be a slope for too much longer, so I haven't been doing much to it at all this year. It's gonna be totally ripped out and terraced. Just trying to get all those ducks in a row to get the project started. It has been a long process to get into place. I think I'm close though. Appreciate ya watching and following along.
Lol why are you trashing superjuice in the title. That just tells me your after the clicks. And then I watched the video and you didn’t bring anything to the table. Superjuice is not magic and has never been advertised as such. It’s a supplement that if you have a very healthy lawn you can use as main feed. Stop hating on other peoples success
@@BudgetLawns lol, na. But clearly you can’t compete so you trash other people’s stuff in your title to get views. Don’t think you even mentioned superjuice in the video. Lol weak tactic my man.
So vanilla. Words spoken like a true keyboard warrior without a clue. Keep it up. You're doing great helping this video get further reach. Thank you. You've been a huge help.
@@BudgetLawns lol. Bro. You’re literally trashing somebody else’s success to get ahead. Embarrassing. I don’t even use superjuice or any of docs stuff but I watch his videos for advice cause he knowledgeable. But just trashing a product he promotes in a title and then not even talking about it is wrong. Why would you do that?
@@BudgetLawns lol vanilla. Yea I’m not cursing and think your tactic is weak. Keyboard warrior I guess if that’s what you want to call me. I’m just calling out your nonsense. I watch your videos too, don’t get it twisted. But this wasn’t cool in my opinion. Shameful and the wrong way to do things.
Thank you very much. I hope so. Sometimes perspective is tough to find when we're surrounded by so much noise saying otherwise online. Appreciate you watching.
Not an insult but the way you speak/mannerism is similar to Joel Osteen lol. At the end of your videos I be thinking your going to say if you receive it today say amen!
Haha, too funny. I get asked all the time if I'm a preacher. Cracks me up. I guess it's the southern accent thing. Thanks so much for watching and commenting.
This has taking a very strange turn. You're a lawn youtube channel talking about how you don't care about the lawn and how who cares what it looks like? For sure we can agree that if you don't care what your lawn looks like then ultimately that's all that matters. We agree that you don't need fancy products or special tools to have healthy grass. From a "you tube expert" perspective as you present yourself, you just made an 8 min video tell people you don't care. Also for the record letting your yard enter the winter dormancy period , under drought stress, is hard on the plant as it tries to build carbohydrate reserves for the winter and can contribute to winter kill. You aren't helping it along by letting it go into drought stress early. Honestly if you've reached a point where you aren't into turf as hobby why bother making these videos at all? Do you need others to join you to feel justified in not caring? Better yet change your channel to make videos about something you do care about?
Hey Sean. I’ve missed you and your worthless comments. Thanks for hanging around. Maybe you should read other comments to see what other people are saying. You might just find that what you think isn’t always shared by everyone and that’s ok. It’s cool if we do things differently. From what I’ve seen from before though, you’re a follower, not a leader, so I’ll understand if this doesn’t make sense being that it goes against the grain. Those situations seem tough for you to handle. Poor guy. I appreciate your support, man! Have a great week.
Always enjoy your vids!! I’ve been trying to get in touch with you via email or message on Instagram regarding an issue I’m having with my lawn. Haven’t had any luck on response..,
Thank you. Sorry about that. I haven't gotten any emails. I check it from time to time. I quit instagram about a year ago, so I'm sure there's lots of missed messages there. Giving it up was just another step to more family time. My email is under my about section on my channel page. Appreciate the support.
This is why you're my favorite lawn UA-camr!! That is exactly what most people have to deal with, actual real life. Yes sometimes we have the free time to put extra tlc into the lawn, but then life gets busy.
🙌🙌 thank you. When a lawn looks too good all the time, one has to wonder what the catch is. Appreciate your support.
You do you.

I appreciate your candor and I love the video in which you say you get what you give. I also always say in my videos, every lawn has its issues, there is no perfect Lawn. I had many issues last year, hopefully this year is better, I have a soil ph and phosphorus issue lol - thanks for sharing great video my friend
Appreciate it man. Great insight from ya. Thanks so much for watching and sharing.
Nice shirt WPS
Thank you from NWA. Dodged a bullet yesterday. Onto A&M. Appreciate ya watching.
What you said about the kids 👏🏽🙌🏽nothing beats family time! But on the other hand, your yard looks pretty dang good 👍🏽💪🏽 so forget the critics
Thank you. I appreciate that. Thanks so much for tuning in.
Looks good to me.
👊👊 thanks buddy. Appreciate ya.
I wish my lawn looked that good when it's bad. 😂 I'm working on it. My grandson loves being outside with me when I do it.
You’ll get there. Enjoy the time with your grandson. Thanks for watching.
Love it!
Thank you!
Every lawn addict needs to watch this.
Thanks for watching!
Right priorities!
Thank you! As a teacher, I understand more and more each day just how important good parenting is for our children. They need us.
The helo above is the sound of freedom.

Good video!
Thanks bro!
Thank you!! From NZ
You're very welcome. Thank you for watching!
Well said!!
Thank ya sir!
The title seems like some shade at How to With Doc, what's the reason for that?
Just making the point that you don’t need the boujee products to fix an ugly lawn. They’re all just sales gimmicks. Some people play that game; I play this one. Nothing personal. Thanks for watching.
“Nothing personal” yet takes shots at another. The video would have been great if you didn’t feel the need to throw dirt unnecessarily. Screams of someone wanting views.
Where was super juice mentioned in the video?
Hidden in the part where I say fear sells and gets people to buy stuff they don’t need.
Hell yeah..... I went down that snake oil and perfect lawn, rabbit hole .... Now, fert when it needs it, water, sharp blade, mow.... And a "Go Dawgs!"
Go it figured out man! 👊 thanks bud. Go Hogs!
this is 100 true. Excellent video today
👊👊 thank you. Much appreciated!
Enjoy the process... My game plan for spring is going to be awesome thanks to your vids
That’s right. Awesome. Glad to hear they help. Thank you for the support!
Love it. This is your lane, bro.
Haha, you got it all figured out! Appreciate ya watching and commenting.
Well spoken 🙏💥🇺🇸
Thanks buddy. Appreciate you!
Preach! Amen. 👏👏
Thanks so much for watching.
It's easy to get "in the weeds" on making every blade of grass perfect. I needed this video!
Been there, done that. Made it out on the other side. Trust me, the other side is better and healthier. Appreciate ya man!
Preach it brother! Great words of wisdom 🙏🏻
Thanks so much bro. Hope you're having a great weekend.
Good choice Travis, timer better spent with the family will pay great dividends!
Completely agree. Thanks so much.
Great attitude and to be honest the lawn doesn’t look that bad
Thank you appreciate that. 👊👊
Have you had and experiences with dallis grass?
Not much. The little I've dealt with, I just pull by hand and have eradicated it with cultural practices for the most part. Hope this helps. Thanks so much for watching and the question.
My son and I bonded while spraying superjuice , it took a whopping hour at most to mix and spray 10,000 sq ft…..get out there and get it done!
😆😆😆
Now you’re talking. Moving in the right direction. Let me know if ya need any help along the way.
@@BudgetLawns Thanks........oh yeah, whatta ya do about every bird in north America feeding on your freshly planted grass seed???🤔
Have you tried bird deterrents?
Rubber snakes
Owls with spinning heads
Spinning wheels that shine
Well bk out to the shop Travis.....2 more 8 ft led,s , change hyd fluid in car lift and lil more electrical stuff before i call it a nite...ttys✌then i can 💤like a 👶
👍👍Right on man. Get er done and get some sleep!
My favorite video !!
I did the same thing last year and nobody noticed but me 😁.
Thank you! Ain't that the truth...no one notices. Our lawns just end up looking like everyone else's. Haha. By most accounts...that's normal. Appreciate ya.
Good man! Even if you Arkansas fan.😊
Haha. Thank you!
If this lawn looks like crap, then mine is the triceratops pile in Jurassic Park lol.
😆😆
Family first, always, full stop. Excellent points bud! My wife, kids, and I spend our evenings pretty much the same way. We started taking turns making up bedtime stories.
Thank ya sir. I know you got that figured out too! 👊👊That's why I appreciate your content. It's real. I understand why your lawn isn't "perfect." Unfortunately, people are starting to equate lawn youtubers with "perfect" lawns. That's dumb.
I noticed you had several drain boxes
In your backyard, did you install those yourself ? Or builder?
Do you have any major water settling ?
The flex seal guy (RIP) has nothing on “The Doc”. Still holds true there’s a sucker born everyday.
Haha, facts. Appreciate ya watching.
🙌🙌
🙌🙌 thanks bud.
OOOOOOOH YEEEEAH
Lol
Go Gophers! Nice video Travis
Thanks man. Appreciate ya. 👊
I’m with you, friend! My daughter still goes to bed early (7) so in the summer I’m always able to mow after bedtime. Now, it takes me two nights. I make it work though. That time is valuable. You can’t get it back.
WPS! What a close call.
Whew, we dodged one there. The time is valuable no doubt. It's the most valuable thing we've got. Thanks so much for watching and commenting!
Hi, 👨 this Bob Wilson from Charlotte NC question when you plant the Bermuda seed after it germinate how long did I have to wait to get is first cut?
I've never planted bermuda seed. Always have had sod. I would wait until it's filled in enough to reduce damage from the mower. Thanks for watching.
Hi, Bob Wilson I have a question for can you get a beautiful lawn with out the soil test?
Absolutely. I’ve never taken one and likely never will.
Thanks
Preach it brother. Time flies and the kids grow too fast. We are basically an empty nester now. 2 of the 3 k are already out of the house and the 3rd is 27. I do spend much time on my lawn as its a hobby and a form of exercise for this old man. When I do get busy with work and life the lawn has declined in the past but like you said with a little work and effort it does rebound. Winter here is my time to relax but is boring at times and also get less exercise so I will admit I look forward to Spring each season.
Thanks bro! I read ya loud and clear. That is another thing I enjoy about lawn care...it is great exercise. Appreciate your insight as always man. 👊👊
I agree hobby for me too and winters here suck in MI
👍👍
Is it possible to send you my lawn to get advice?
Is there something in particular that you're concerned about that's not covered in my videos?
Thanks bro. Haha, that's what it's all about. I loved mowing for my dad. I hope my boy does too. 👊👊
Kinda sucks how much of lawn care is really out of our control. Cheers to next year. Thanks man.
@@BudgetLawns just gave me more time with family! Reason I put effort in my lawn every year is so we can enjoy it as a family.
👍👍 that’s what it’s all about.

You keeping it real doc, there’s a whole lot more important than lawncare. Family first… 👍🏾
Thanks bro. You got that right. Always. Appreciate ya man!
Irrigation has been off for 2 weeks, no fert since July, haven’t mowed in a little over a week. It’s fine. Totally agree with you. It’s even more true as the kiddos get older… I don’t mow when they’re home and wanting to hang out.

Good decision to spend time with your family. Kids grow up quickly. I see lawn care as just a hobby.
Thank you. It’s so worth it. I’m with ya on the hobby. It just can’t show the love back that family can. Appreciate ya watching and commenting.

Hey, I let my lawn go Yellow this year. Didn't feel like watering it. What do you suggest for a bad attitude 😒?
I like your style. Thank you for sharing. Appreciate you watching!
Two words, man:
Lawn Leveling!
If you haven’t leveled your lawn 10 times already this year, you’re falling behind! 🤣
Haha, isn't that a weekly task now? Kinda like mowing, watering, and humic. Some things have just gotten ridiculous. Thanks for watching bro!
@@BudgetLawns Beyond ridiculous. Whoever thinks a lawn needs to be flat enough to play billiards on should be shot.

Your video has nothing to do with super juice. Misleading title, click bait

Oh, I've been close a time or ten. haha. thanks for watching.
You should start making videos on sloped front yards... That little back yard is getting well you know. We need a new view... 😉😉

Really good video. Maybe you helped someone else put things into perspective 🤔
😂
I looked there but no email
There should be a spot that says "for business inquiries. view email address"
I am still fighting Bermuda grass mites, but it's not as bad as it was. Maybe next year will be better.
I’m sorry. I don’t know much about them at all. Wish I could help you. Thanks for watching. Appreciate you.
