  • A common problem with OBS Fords is the dash develops cracks over time. So here's an easy fix for that.

Thanks for this great video and using Coverlay®. If you do use the silicone adhesive we send to attach, and then need to access the dashboard underneath at a later date, you can use a heat gun or blow dryer and heat up the dash cover then remove it. If your Coverlay® dash cover is damaged during this removal process, we will warranty it and send you a replacement.👍

You can use a vinyl and cloth spray paint to recolor the tan parts. I had a friend change his blue seats, dash, and doors in a 95 S10 from blue to black. It looks great and still does 12 years later. Duplicolor makes a great spray for that.

I know you're pot committed to the overlay and I think you'd also like the carpet cover. I did this for my 95 Bronco and it came in gray/grey and matches perfectly as far as color. Fitment was spot on and I just plopped it on. I ran some wires below the carpet (gps, search and rescue lighting wires, etc) and hid them well. If I need to change anything, just pull up and there they are. Maybe you want to give that a try and not see that radio short cut they did and the vent hole. Great videos, keep them coming!!!

I've been fortunate to find half a dozen non ripped pads for my trucks. I also made aluminum strips to fit and replace each door and dash plastic strip just below dash pad. It was a lot of grinding, and you need to use some thick aluminum pieces to get the concave curve right on the doors.

As far as buying dash trim pieces and going that route with restoring the interior. You can honestly spend whatever you’re comfortable with and whatever gets you the best looking trim pieces. I’ve seen the dash piece in front of the passenger side seat (that usually cracks) go for $100.

I ordered a cover direct from them and it is poor quality as far as fitment , they offered a refund minus shipping ... $90 , cover was 255 . so i end up at a loss for a poorly fitting item . decided to fix it by adding to the areas where it was short , yes it wasn't that i needed to remove material , i had to add , then try and paint to match .
I've purchased aftermarket ABS parts for motorcycles without these issues unless it was a racing part where detail is second .
on their site it says " Made From Durable ABS Plastic And Vacuum Molded For Perfect Fit " , right .
Seems like they are the only game in town for this type of product , profit > quality .

Is there no source on the entire planet for a new dash? Anything from the 90's will be just like mine, the top 4 mounting points will be either weakened or broken from the sun coming through the windshield and 30 years of vibration. This is simply driving me crazy trying to find one; you can't. Any experience you might have would be appreciated.
