As long as you have something around the rim area to glue to it will work. You only glue around the edges and around the vents. Not glue in the middle so you should be fine.
I got a 1998 F-150 dashboard along headlight switch with center bezel key air bag senso where the stereo is crack from the inside threads plastic wide open.

Now I have a new baby, an 83 Chevy truck and the previous owner installed a coverlay dash cap in it previously but did s terrible job. It's wavy and sticks up in spots. And they used black in a maroon interior truck. How hard is it to remove one of these? Could I use dye on this one if it hasn't been permanently damaged? I want to put a maroon one in. Thanks for any reply
Thanks for getting in touch - you can remove the old dash cover by taking a hair dryer and heating up the cover so that the silicone adhesive softens and releases. Then if the dash cover is in good shape, you can paint it with an aerosol paint to the color you want and re-install. I know there are working on door panels for a Chevy product now, so I can say it would be several months out if they chose that vehicle. As far as I know, we do not have a lot of request for that particular year and model, so I'm not sure what the chances would be that we would make it.

It's the vinyl covered lower dash and passenger side air-bag cover that's the problem. In addition to splits in the vinyl, the whole assembly is warped. I've searched but so far i can't find a replacement except from a dealership or junk yard. I'd like to find a repair kit or aftermarket. Any suggestions?
Hey not sure if you’re active anymore on UA-cam but I’m thinking of getting an entire interior set for my 1996 F-350 and I have one question, once applied do I have to rip off my dash cover in the future in order to do repairs inside the actual dash or is it made in a way I can take it apart with the cover on?
Our dash covers are made to be a simple but permanent solution. Once the cover has been applied with the silicone adhesive you will not want to take it off, they are not made to be taken off after application.

Yes the design is to repair a damaged dash by using our silicone adhesive that attaches this cover to the original. Some people lay the dash cover on and don't adhere it, but most use it as a permanent fix. @@mcconn746

The Dodge Status is a tricky design as it varies from model to model. It seems to make a difference in the two and four door models and we also have a Mitsubishi Eclipse cover that fits some of the Stratus'. Yes we understand the frustration. Maybe someday we can retool for that. Also shipping these covers outside the U.S. is really expensive also which affects the demand.
@@coverlaymfg can i suggest why dont you try. ive been to china .there are a dime a dozen plastic injection moulding companies there. contract 1 to make cover skins for rhd harrier lexus / 350/330/ 400 and get them to make a 100 to your specification. toyota sold the car as the harrier. between harrier and lexus, they would have sold 25000 cars world wide minimum between 2003-2008 in rhd. most owners would grab one and every dealership would buy them to ger rid of customers like . lexus lost its class action and toyota would be happy to work with you

Great product have used em before and never had an issue if installed properly...I set bricks all over along with tape to insure a snug tight fit..

That's the thing, that whole corner is missing. My dash is an 2002. It has lots of hours under the sun and became incredibly brittle.

No they do not. We have provisions in our dash covers so that they allow for airbag deployment as needed.

4-8 hours. 8 hours is best if you can.
