I’m glad MinnKota has the capability to use Lowrance products through their transducer ! I think Garmin is making a mistake not having that IMO. Thanks for the video. 👍

@glenndaugherity6187 Agree, but that's not how corporations like garmin work. Glad you enjoyed the video and be sure to subscribe if you haven't already!

Stop saying white is for satwater black is for freshwater. That's a minn kota thing, not garmin. Black kraken works just as well in salt as in fresh. See the official web page if in doubt.

@kjaergaard65 They can all be used in either setting. The white is made for saltwater because the black has freshwater features on it the white doesn't.

@Capitano_Davide and what features is that? I spent more than an hour talking with a garmin representative, his only explanation was, colourmatch. And that white comes with a longer shaft more suitable for bigger vessels.

@kjaergaard65 If you go on garmin's website and look on the white trolling motor, it will say engineered for the harsh saltwater environment, while if you do the same for the black you won't see it. The black also has the gt56 transducer. If you check out my other video on the kraken, you'll probably get the answers you're looking for.

@Capitano_Davide I know it has, but under product info, both motors are listed for all types of water, and garmin them self told me both motors are for the same types of water. I'm just saying this because I'm scouring the market for a trolling motor myself, and info like this is important. Details matters. When you speak of garmin, make sure you emphasize that both motors can be used in saltwater, white model has longer shafts thou. Minn kota has a white for salt and black for fresh. Quite important information. Might make or break a deal for someone.

@kjaergaard65 They can both be used in both, but if you're looking for saltwater, use the white. Believe me, if it was the same, it wouldn't cost more.
