You are not alone, there is always the dutch support. It is amazing, sweet or salty. It is pure addiction for me, if I buy a package it does not even last 15 minutes. Salmiak licorice is the best in my opinion, such incredible powerfull flavour. Foreigners(from dutch perspective) typically cannot handle it.

I have been eating drop since I was 1! I still eat it till this day! The salt gives it a lot of flavour but sometimes it is a bit to salty. When my friends came over I would eat some and they’d be like “can I have one” then I’ll I’ve it to them and they would spit it out 😂 I also love the fruity ones as well. By the way it’s pronounced “Dropees”. I am eating a stroopwafel as I’m writing this!

I had a similar version of the first sweet, except German. A few years ago, my Language Arts teacher had just come back from visiting Germany (she's German) when a sudden blizzard came our way. We were stranded in school and the only thing to eat was her German sweets. I could tell she was regretting her decision with every one she gave out, but I would've never gotten the chance to eat it otherwise. Sometimes, eating food from other places opens your perspective; it surely opened mine.
