The answer to any question about if you should make a video of making anything from beginning to end or a tutorial in podcast form or not is always going to be a yes from me! Your voices relax me and your creativity inspires me. I Have seen most of your videos multiple times as I keep them on auto play while I am home whether I am crafting, cleaning, or just lounging. I hope to join you for a class one day when you are in the U.S. Sending much love from Fargo, North Dakota!

Always make my day when you have a tutorial or chat or anything. You are like 2 breaths of sunshine. I would love to see the sweater and have the pattern. I want to make one. I got your favorites book and it is special to me and I can't wait to make things from it. The doll is super cute!

What a cool treat! I like your "hybrid" tutorial podcast very much. I learned so much! And now I can't wait to make another doll and attempt this face technique. Definitely requesting a wig hair tutorial. .. please please please! Wonderful idea! And our dolls will be able to change hair styles and hair color. ALSO...Yes yes yes please a tutorial and pattern for the new sweater. I am so inspired and sitting here watching a second time and cheeks hurt from smiling.

Thank you for another brilliant, funny and entertaining video! I would definitely love to see how the wig‘s being done, and also the sweater! Hopefully, I will keep on knitting dolls, clothes for dolls, christmas balls, blankets and easter eggs for years and years to come.
Little side story: My older kids already know you by name and come running when they find a new book of yours in the local book store or in the library. My youngest sat on my lap today while I was taking a sneak preview on this very video and her face broke into a huge smile when she recognized ‚her‘ doll. You guys bring, as always, fun and joy to the whole family! 😄

Honestly, Arne has eyes in the tips of his fingers. It is wonderful to watch.
We call that a split backstitch, what you did round the eyes. My favorite stitch for everything from crewel outlining to just mending a seam.

The best part of Sunday is watching your new video of the week!! I loved watching you both put the finishing touches on your doll and you inspire me to broaden my horizons when it comes to knitting and trying new things like crochet and embroidery. I would absolutely love a podcast or tutorial on how you make the wig and little sweaters as Christmas is just around the corner and Magnus will need a cozy sweater while swinging on a Christmas ball in my tree. You both are so inspirational in so many ways and I can't wait to see what comes next!!

LOVE This doll! You guys are incredibly talented. I’m watching this in DECEMBER 2021.. My teens, 20’s and 30’s were spent knitting and wearing the cable sweaters. Here in the United States they were generally done in a solid color - cream, dark green or navy. I was interested to hear you mention in this video that the cable style was the ‘older’ style and the color work is more popular now. I’m 75 years old and knitted for many many years.. Have gotten away from it but am truly inspired to pick it up again since finding your channel. Love you guys and your work!

What a pleasant visit with you two and your red haired friend!
I liked the way the face was done with duplicate stitch better than knitting.
I love that sweater and would enjoy a tutorial as lace is not my friend.
Somehow your gentle way of teaching would almost guarantee success.
I wonder if I shall make a chart of the face stitches overlaying the knitted stitches as I'm not so familiar as Arne with the face shape on the head. Hugs WAH.

Oh A &C, i loved this tutorial. She came alive under your hands and that wig was awesome! I’d love a tutorial on that and on the sweater for sure. But just a word about ‘duplicate’. I saw yr reply to a lady about tomahtoes etc. ‘duplicate’ your way is not like that. If we apply the same theory to it as to ‘tomatoes’, it wld go like this: In the Uk and Australia, it’s D-you-plicate ( =tomahtoes) as in the baby is D-you. In the USA, it’s Doo-plicate.(= to-mate-oes). Your Duhp-plicate stitch is a mis pronunciation altogether hahaha and i was in the kitchen when autoplay of youtube went to the next video and i heard about this ‘ Duhplicate’ stitch, i said, oh wow, whats that? Then I read the title. Oh i chuckled every time you said it. So that was my English lesson for the day. :-)))
Hope to see a tutorial on the wig and that sweater soon. And i was picturing a wig of short blond hair like Marilyn Munroe style. I think it wld be possible!!!! Lu x

I think something glamorous like Dolores or Hildegard 😃😃. I would love to see tutorials for the sweater and the wig, especially with Christmas on the not too distant horizon 😳. I can think of a number of little people who would adore one of these fabulous creatures. I hope you had a fantastic birthday Arne - you are two of my most favourite people in the world. Hello Arne and Carlos! This doll is so sweet and cute. I have really enjoyed this video! Her face is really special. I would like a tutorial on her wig and her sweater. I want to get your book and make a doll like her for myself. I have three Blythe dolls and really love them. They are not the custom ones...just the plastic...and I would love tutorials on crocheting dresses and knitting round yolk sweaters for them in the Norwegian style. I am 59 and I love dolls for myself. Also a tutorial for a little knitted or crocheted chihuahua dog companion for them! Love to you both, and Freya, from Shari Witt in Kentucky.

I LOVE her sooo much!! I didn't know the doll in the garden book was made with these kind of eyes. I am so happy because this is so much easier for me to do. I love dolls so much and can't wait to get the garden book and start my own doll! The knitted eyes were a bit intimidating for me. My level of knitting isn't as high as my embroidery or crochet. I'm getting my book asap!! I adore your podcast/tutorials each week. I also want to make the mouse! It's adorable too! Thank you guys so much and I hope you two have a lovely day!

I would LOVE to see how you do the hair. I am definitely looking to knit your dolls, as a new fan and a new knitter, I am really wanting to do this. I don't know if you've seen some of the doll face-up tutorials but they take shop dolls like Barbies or Monsters High, as where Blythe dolls etc... but they make hair or wigs by taking acrylic yarn and brushing it out, then straightening it with heat to make hair. I wonder how that would look with your knitted dolls too?
Yes, also, to the knitted sweater tutorial!

    What is her Name?
I would watch you wash dishes...lol
A pattern for the sweater would be great, I would love to do a live knit a long with you, but I am new to knitting and it would have to be easy.... maybe if I got to try the pattern in advance I could keep up. Also the wig is great and I love the button Idea but for a child it would be considered a choking hazard, how about a small strip of velcro sewn into the wig and on the part of her head?
Thank you for the Norwegian word for stem stich would you include the spelling with any translations. That would be wonderful. The two of you are an inspiration.
Hope you had a wonderful Birthday Arne!

To be honest, we don't see a children's doll as having a wig, it would be much better to attach the hair directly to the head, just as we explain in our book "Knitted Dolls". Children will play rougher with the doll and a wig would be pointless, really, as it wouldn't remain on the head regardless.... The wig was just made for this video, but we also see this as something for adults to play with, not kids. And we don't see the velcro thing as something we'd like to do as it will probably look a bit sloppy.

That was great! I just love to watch everything you do so I would welcome any videos, podcasts and tutorials that you make. Thank you and by the way the doll is really cute and the idea of interchangeable wigs is brilliant.

She came out so cute, I would love to see how you did the wig. As you were pining it down I was thinking how you could knit it in place making the knit stitches look like berets.
