@AnnaBeyOfficial Good video tip But...I have to complain something. Ibought to my wife The #3 Chunky Shoes because I saw other women wearing this at job and I think they look sexy obviously when they use it without socks.

I’ve literally been researching this myself over the last week 😂 my conclusion is only one necklace at a time and not more than 2 bracelets on each wrist and only one ring on each hand ONLY on the ring finger. Chunky rings look kinda masculine. Huge stones are almost as bad as huge logos, and watches often look masculine, you don’t need one imo. Also: pearls 😍

My foot doctor recommended Birkenstock and they have changed my life; alleviating a lot of foot and knee pain. I can no longer wear skinny heels for the same reason. Victoria Beckham has said she's only allowed to wear heels on special occasions because they have destroyed her feet; it's why you see her now in a lot of trainers and even has a line with Reebok.

Anna, thank you for giving an honest appraisal of your feet. Often people refuse us our own realistic view of our bodies - as if it's a sin to be straightforward, honest and accepting of "non-perfection"! You reviewed your own feet but didn't reject them. Your acceptance of your features as they are helps you to choose items that are flattering to you. It's the best lesson for all of us. Wear what feels good. Try an item that you're attracted to but are "too shy" or "too _____" once in awhile for fun - and if that feels good then take another risk. Our clothes ought to be enjoyed. Cheers!
Every shoe can be styled with the right clothes, is good to see videos like this with suggestions. In my case I don't care what men like, I care what I like. That's just my opinion.
I have bunions and my Birkenstocks are my favorite sandals for this reason. They are so comfortable, supportive, and yes- masculine. However, I think they look cool with relaxed attire and much better than many "orthopedic" styles. I also enjoy hiking and camping and they are great for the outdoors, along with Chacos (which are also not elegant). When it comes to dressing nice to go out and what-not, I definitely agree with all of the other shoe advice in this video!

Truth is.."I don't understand what you're talking about lady"🤷🏽 I believe these are your definitions of "elegance" it most certainly isn't truth for many of us(and we're quite a sum) . Still, I appreciate your efforts.
I recently started working in a shoe shop and when I'm bored and there are no clients I spent my time rating the most elegant shoes, the tackiest, the ugliest... I always think, would Anna recommend this? It's actually pretty fun!
Omg! You literally just vindicated me and my inner most thoughts about these atrocious trends!!!!!! Social media and celebrities got me gaslighting myself and doubting if I'm crazy to not find these styles something I'd wear!!!! Thank you!!!
I've been having the same thoughts recently. Most ads are showing these hideous shoes and pairing them with feminine or sexy outfits does NOT help. They are not flattering on anyone.
@@ashleydamjanac1835 The whole point of more masculine styles is for people ( like me) who dont want to look like a prissy princess, but does like feminine clothing. Thats why they are so great. If you match lug soles, or more manly shoes with flow dresses you end up looking balanced and chic. Also, in my opinion more tiny shoes make my legs look squat.
Loving the warmer hair colour, Anna; it suits you well. Thank you for making this video; I was shocked whilst shopping on the NM website recently; who is purchasing these shoes? I’d love to know 🤣
Old walking boots are the most practical shoe for everyday wear. Mine have holes in them so I can't rely on them to keep water out but the soles and everything else are still good, so I can take a shortcut across uncertain terrain whenever I wish without worrying about my feet.
@@flower48212 Shein sucks, let's be honest. Full of cheap-looking and low quality items. This space is for women who want to elevate their style and not appear cheap.
Thank heavens for someone else seeing that the latest shoe fashions are wild. I have to admit that I love my gladiator sandals. I get away with it because I have long legs and am tall, also because I fall in to the flamboyant elegance class. So I do feel that there are nuances here. I think the trick here is that you wear these type of shoes if you are tall with long legs and that you were them as the statement element of your outfit. I am always sure to wear them with a plain dress and very minimal jewellery so that the shoes are the only striking part of the outfit.
Randomly recommended video of someone who speaks my language, especially about those fugly first slippers ugh!! 🙄 I subscribe! Hahaha! I always wanted to tell my friends your exact words now I'm just gonna send them 😂🤣 your accent makes it all sound less offensive
I can completely relate to all of this. I have been wearing a US Size 11 / Euro 41 or 42 since I was 11 years old. I also have a narrow foot so it is hard to find my size. When I do, I tend to get them all (I also went to private school for 12 years & wore a uniform & I pretty much dress this way ever since to the office or out). Shoes have always been a painful subject for me. I never want to get anything that will make my foot look bigger or longer than it already is. I laughed at the "shark shoe" because my mother took me to an orthopedic shoe store when I was 11 & got almost this same shoe in the mid 1970s. All that said, pick the best quality you can afford even if not designer or luxury - you have to be kind to your feet. I am very lucky in a way that my mother worked when most women did not (she was "Depression Era" & had me later in life), she worked in New York City, she knew what to wear, what not to wear, what not to wear on your feet especially. I may not have grown up with money but she never skimped on my shoes & stressed this when I started working to save for the purse but buy the GOOD SHOES now. If you take good care of them (use a shoe cobbler to fix at end of season) & not follow trends, you will have them for many years. Thank you for sharing this important information, Anna.
Anna could we get an elegant winter shoe video? I live in a place that gets a lot of show and while I completely agree with you on shoes that are thick and clunky it’s hard not to for thick snowy winters
Thank you so much for making this video. I’m about to go through my entire closet and get rid of stuff that is outdated or no longer suits me. I have three whole bins full of sandals, boots and pumps. I’m 4’ foot 10”, I never would even think that some of my shoes might be making me look a lot shorter. I just went shopping online. I bought a really nice pair I espadrilles that were on sale. I can wear in the summertime as they go with a few really pretty maxi dresses I already have. This video is definitely going to help me simplify my wardrobe.. Thank you Anna..
Ohh nooo, Anna, the pair of derbys were actually so nice! I think the styling is what determines if they look elegant or not. Sure, they may not be "sexy" but having a slight masculine edge to your footwear can actually work really well in an otherwise feminine wardrobe. A contrasting element can bring a lot of interest to your outfit! Instead of the dainty pair of ballet flats, I would have demonstrated a pair of loafers to get the same effect in perhaps more flattering way.
So thankful to see I’m not going (too) crazy, ha. The wide square shoe reminds me of a platypus and I simply cannot un-see it + clear shoes start to quickly resemble sweat tinted saran/cling wrap😣 Also- your evolution is POWERFUL! You’ve softened even more deeply to a compassionate, ultra feminine woman.
Ana, can you please make a video in how to dress when you have dr appointments...My family makes fun of me because they think I over dress...But I know I don't...these days , people think wearing jogging cloths and open thong sandals are great to go every where...I hope this topic interests you in making a video..Hugs from FL.
Hi, I am a Med student! I would actually suggest everything you easily slide in and out so that you can be ready for examination fast, I would suggest an "airy", not too tight, blouse, tailored trousers instead of a skirt and instead of thights and loafers, minimal to no jewelry and minimal to no makeup (so that it doesn't smudge when you get dressed quickly after examination) Honestly, I think a doc wouldn't mind how you are dressed, in my personal opinion I would appreciate it if my patients dress well and appear polished, it's a sign they take good care of themselves 😊 don't really mind what your family says 🤣🤣
@@hotbitch13 I do recommend a check up every two years (gynecologist once a year) though, to recognize malignant diseases in advance. Pregnancy is also a time of a lady's life in which she is subject to more medical attention
The shoe comparison needs to be comparable; Birkenstocks are worn for their support so your recommendation would need to feature the reason those shoes are chosen. Many women, men do not appreciate shoes which are not based on comfort even if fashionable. Loafers and other flats are good options. Chunky heal/not depends on your foot health, body physiology and long-term health goals. Foot, posture health is more important than fashion. Good basic pumps are the best and some with a bit more elevated look also useful. The subtitles cover your feet.
Hi Anna, can you do a special on belts? I desperately need to add belts to my wardrobe both to hold up my trousers better and for fashion. Would love some tips!

Anna, this is your best video recently! I really like the idea that you share what to wear instead and give the positive examples. I would love to see in future this kind of videos - what not to wear and what to wear instead :))
it depends often on your work demands and your body statute and medical issues, whether you can wear this or that , and I also find Birkenstock bulky but they have adjusted foot bed and no any other replacement got it yet, only if some sneakers, but with some medical foot issues it is not possible to wear closed shoe, only if 2-3 sizes bigger as your usual size...
Omg!! Finally! A styling I can understand. I admit Im not a fashionista in any way - im more of a classic girl, but some trends I understand the aesthethic appeal. These bulky, “high-end” footwears though? Im just baffled.

I love the approach to this video! I've never been a fan of videos where we're just told what doesn't look good. I love the "Here's what I don't recommend - but here's a better option" format. I hope you will consider this format for any other videos you do on "what not to wear." It's much more helpful like this!
Your balance while showing these shoes is so great. You still look elegant showing them even if they're not elegant shoes on their own.☺️
I love the beige sandals, and well - hermes is the best and most elegant for summer.
Truth is.."I don't understand what you're talking about lady"🤷🏽
I believe these are your definitions of "elegance" it most certainly isn't truth for many of us(and we're quite a sum) .
Still, I appreciate your efforts.
Please share your definition of “elegance”. Is it chunky thick sole masculine looking shoes lol.
@@Redwhiteblue-gr5em Ha, ha, ha.
I recently started working in a shoe shop and when I'm bored and there are no clients I spent my time rating the most elegant shoes, the tackiest, the ugliest... I always think, would Anna recommend this? It's actually pretty fun!
Which shop?
You should make a video on your ratings for shoes!!!
The basic pump will always be in style. I've seen them come and go several times in my lifetime. That class/classic style.
I’d love to know 🤣
The chunky loafers looked so good though
Old walking boots are the most practical shoe for everyday wear. Mine have holes in them so I can't rely on them to keep water out but the soles and everything else are still good, so I can take a shortcut across uncertain terrain whenever I wish without worrying about my feet.
Imagine wearing shoes because they're comfortable and you like the way they look
Lol not according to anna
That was the first thing that came to my mind when I saw the first solution shoe 🤣🤣🤣🤣
@@Theunleashedmakoti I was like ew who’s gonna wear that? Certainly not me.
Wear what you want but she is right about what kind of shoe is classy and elegant. This channel is for people who want to be elegant
You can wear whatever you want but that doesn’t mean it will be elegant, which is the point of the video
Never thought we would ever see Anna mentioning Shein😂 And tap dancing!!! Love your effortless sense of humour😂
Oh I love Shein, it's my favorite place to shop. All newest fashion and affordable prices that's most important
Thank you very much Anna!!💜
I've never been more satisfied with any UA-camr before🥰
Have you ever seen a “worse’r” combo than this?😂 ANNA!😂❤ Don’t say worser!😂❤️
Randomly recommended video of someone who speaks my language, especially about those fugly first slippers ugh!! 🙄 I subscribe! Hahaha! I always wanted to tell my friends your exact words now I'm just gonna send them 😂🤣 your accent makes it all sound less offensive
Anna, i love your sense of humor!
And finally someone to say that the same type of footwear does not suit everyone.
Yesssss
16:24 Anna, I know it’s not your taste, but these look great on you!!
I wasn’t sure about the title of this video at first, but she does have good tips😂. I’m always impressed Anna by your advice!
Anna, you are getting SO funny. I had a much needed laugh. You're so right, as always!
Anna could we get an elegant winter shoe video? I live in a place that gets a lot of show and while I completely agree with you on shoes that are thick and clunky it’s hard not to for thick snowy winters
Yes, I live in northern Michigan, it's always icy, snowy and slippery outside wintertime. That's why everyone wears those thick chunky boots
I know I ve wore the same horrible boots all winter
Instead of the dainty pair of ballet flats, I would have demonstrated a pair of loafers to get the same effect in perhaps more flattering way.
this video is silly everybody has different taste. It has nothing to do with whether or not you have “class”!
Video is about FASHION elegance, not how people speak and treat other people in a social setting.
@@candym8639 this is for classy looks. If you don't understand her ignore
So thankful to see I’m not going (too) crazy, ha. The wide square shoe reminds me of a platypus and I simply cannot un-see it + clear shoes start to quickly resemble sweat tinted saran/cling wrap😣
Also- your evolution is POWERFUL!
Excellent topic suggestion. I get made fun of, as well, because I dress like a proper lady when going to medical appointments.
actually a great idea
Hi, I am a Med student! I would actually suggest everything you easily slide in and out so that you can be ready for examination fast, I would suggest an "airy", not too tight, blouse, tailored trousers instead of a skirt and instead of thights and loafers, minimal to no jewelry and minimal to no makeup (so that it doesn't smudge when you get dressed quickly after examination)
Honestly, I think a doc wouldn't mind how you are dressed, in my personal opinion I would appreciate it if my patients dress well and appear polished, it's a sign they take good care of themselves 😊 don't really mind what your family says 🤣🤣
Elegant ladies dont go to doctors. They are in perfect health.
I like using more chunky boots but with jeans, and I agree depending on your legs it might not look good!
Even though my own style is more casual most of the time, I still like videos like this that can help me know how to achieve a more elegant look when that's what I want.
Anna, this is your best video recently! I really like the idea that you share what to wear instead and give the positive examples. I would love to see in future this kind of videos - what not to wear and what to wear instead :))
You saved my day, I couldn't stop laughing at every shoe performance.
Anna, you are great! Thank you so much!
it depends often on your work demands and your body statute and medical issues, whether you can wear this or that , and I also find Birkenstock bulky but they have adjusted foot bed and no any other replacement got it yet, only if some sneakers, but with some medical foot issues it is not possible to wear closed shoe, only if 2-3 sizes bigger as your usual size...
This video is about shoes that look elegant and is not about shoes that help if you have foot problems.
Omg!! Finally! A styling I can understand. I admit Im not a fashionista in any way - im more of a classic girl, but some trends I understand the aesthethic appeal. These bulky, “high-end” footwears though? Im just baffled.
your videos have always been great but they're getting better and better!! Love how you show the shoes/clothes on yourself now and make comparisons as that makes it even better to understand. Thank you so much 💕
Omg. I kinda LOVE the first look: Birks w/a flowy midi skirt and tank 🤷🏾♀️ If you were going to a farmers market, all you need is a wide-brim straw hat lol. Sooooo cute!!! Come on… don’t tell me you didn’t secretly like it
A winter version would be wonderful and helpful. I try to wear more dresses and skirts in winter but with the right shoes I always have difficulties. thanks 🥰
It all comes down to what works for you.
One of my most loved video! Thank you, Anna)
You opened my eyes, I didn’t notice all those problems with shoes before.
Such a joy to watch Anna and how she developed the recent two years in front of the camera. I love her inspiring personality and confidence! Thank you for your inspiring content.
I love the fact that you don't make those long intros! Thank you Anna you are the best!!
Lol….your presentation is priceless! Thanks for the laugh and fashion sense.
Chunky penny loafers are young and fun. Sometimes it's about being young and fun, it really depends on the day. 😉😊
Im not usually looking for a elegant or very feminine look, I’m more on the cute and edgy side of things but I watched the video to the end and I’ve understood why despite wanting to be trendy I never liked most of the trendy shoes you showed us as not elegant haha, guess I might have some of an elegant part in my personal style then. Thank you for the video
really love the new format of actually showing the items and their replacements! hats off to you for buying all those to show us. did you return them or donate? i am sure some unfortunate ladies would need and love them, even though they may not be elegant
Loved this video Anna! I agree with all except the chunky loafer - they just look soo cute in the fall with a skirt and sweater, I can’t stop wearing them haha
These are great points! As someone who has thicker short legs and big ankles certain shoes can make you look shorter and fatter. It’s important to try to look the best with what you’ve got no matter your size.
chunky platform boots and sandals look great with flare/bellbottom jeans. They go together like peanut butter and jelly.
OMG you are so brutal...snobby and stuck up...I love it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! You just say what needs to be said. I 100% agree with everything you say, even though I don't and won't follow all of your advice....I love my chunky loafers but you are right about them! LOL! I am subscribing and binge-watching right now.
Am I the only one laughing at Anna’s descriptions? 😂😂😂Anna, you’re very funny and informative 🤗😊
Unfortunately, main of these solutions match for narrow feets. I’m probably not the only one that have wider feets and cannot use loafers slip-ons and pointed heels/flats.
Have someone tips maybe ? 😢
I love this video! I wanted to shout multiple times “SAY IT LOUDER FOR THE PEOPLE IN THE BACK” lol
😂 the first shoe I failed -i would have come out just like that - tahdahhh!! I have pearl colored Birkenstock Myra I believe 😂 it’s cute.. helppp!!
Was about to order those PVC zara heels. I love how it elongates feet and goes with just any cloth
Early comment! I always love your content and all the videos you post, Anna. I absolutely adore your hair in this video, it suits you very much. I do hope that in the future you could make some content for us younger ladies as well!
I have to have shoes with an ankle strap I don't feel safe in any form of high heeled shoes otherwise but it is interesting that you picked a natural neutral tone with your legs - I recently bought some in a neutral style to go with a certain type of dress and they are very comfortable but I love your explanation about how they make your legs look longer than they really are - thanks Anna ❤️
Hey dear how are you…..?😊😊
If you are a loyal follower, you know the Birkenstock type of shoes would be on the list! Love this video.
I've recently bought a pair of tan leather flip flops they're elegant and comfy and in a skin tone. I think you'd approve Anna.
