How about the Mach and Mach shoe in a light champagne color with only once around the ankle. Just got a pair with a very classy heel bec not SUPER high.....for ref it's a knock-off that Anthropologie sells (like not a Shein or ASOS level type).....I think even though does have the bow the heel is such a classy heel......can you give your opinion if you can check out the shoe I'm talking about. I am normally very sensitive to wearing anything too 'stupid trendy' but I thought the shoe was pretty without even having the 'in-style' quality.

For older people who have lived through a fashion cycle (20 years or so), things can look "dated." We've seen it before and to us it old. However, for the younger generation the things are new and exciting. They've not seen the 2000s style so to them its all new and fashionable.

    • @lucybraun8969

I find the older I get, the more careful I have to be with my selections. It doesn't take much to appear like you are desperate to look younger than you are. But with jeans, I always hit a home run with my color selections, because I keep that bottom of mine toned! Lol!

Wow. This really brought home the point that this is really the dark ages of fashion. The market has influenced women to wear the ugliest designs just to be trendy. There was a time when women wore what was flattering for their bodies and personality. Now fashion seems to be mocking women.

Yes, that's where I will agree to disagree with the lovely Anna! and the driving force and passion behind Valentino house is amazing. The story of Valentino Garavani and Giancarlo Giammetti, and now Pier Paolo Piccioli - he was the one who designed all of the accessories previously. To state anything as Valentino as outdated is a misunderstanding of fashion. It's a matter of personal taste here! There are also plenty of styles, very chic kitten heels with a bit of rocktud per exemple, plain block sandals, and/or tone on tone.
So I will continue to rock my rockstuds with pleasure, as I know I am a fierce and passionated elegant lady.

Great video, Anna. The problem with embellishments on clothes and accessories is that they date very quickly, so I avoid them. They’re trending now on clothes, but these items will look outdated in two years or so. I prefer to buy more classic and simple items, especially in shoes and bags, in high-quality leather, they give so much more mileage. High-quality leather goods are an investment, so not the best way to adopt trends.

I absolutely love your fashion tips videos. Although I’m not going to purchase any new pairs of shoes any time soon, I’m glad to see that following your advice has really paid off and now I can easily pair different outfits together with ease and not feel like a copy of yet another social media fashion trend. I’m 23 now and have followed your channel since I was a teenager. Dressing elegantly and with class feels very natural to me now 😊 Thank you Anna for your great work.

I believe elegance should also be age appropriate. One doesn’t have to look 10yrs older to look elegant. Some of these heels are fun and vibrant, and can still be elegant for someone in their 20s/30s even 40s. Eg. Valentino Rockstuds!!

The plastic shoes that are trendy the last years always remind me of the little plastic heels that they sell for little kids, usually with a tiara and a magic wand or something like this. It’s as if we grew up but wanna dress like when we were little and just playing in the living room, but now we take the same look outside 😅 no matter how expensive they always look to me as if coming from the toy store

The problem with this is that some shoes Anna shows are not meant to be styled with the dress she is wearing. You can wear some of those shoes with something else and be elegant, fashionable and cool. Like edgier shoes with a black pencil skirt would be classy but edgy at the same time. Elegant shouldn't mean to be "boring, not creative design". Additionally, this bright pink dress Anna's wearing is too boring and too "old" in design. The color is way very bright, not "elegant" at all.
