The orcs looks great in terms of their costume design, but too dry and/or clean. I expected them to be more grimy. I still remember the 'birth pit' at Orthanc from The Fellowship. Yeah, the scene where Galadriel casually escorts the armed guards into single jail cell was pretty hilarious. It was like herding sheep.
That's because it's about flipping the narrative. The original tales copied simple bible binaries , white is good and pure, black is bad and evil. It's this false binary position that does play a huge role in systemic problems that are reproduced in human society.
Have their been any orcs that were not pale yet? I remember in Jacksons depiction they came in varying shapes, sizes and colours. RoP though from promo material and on screen Ive only seen distinctly pale orcs. Almost like its a conscious decision by pathetic cowards in order to deflect any comparison between their depiction of orcs and certain real world groups....
I actually look forward on watching this now since I have decided to drop the show after episode 4. Will probably just watch the entire thing once all episodes come out. 🤣🤣🤣 And Gandalf's comment @1:56 is EXACTLY what I thought!. All that drama, tension and struggle in Episode 3 and then they just let him go??? And not to mention, Arondir managed to kill lots of orcs and a warg, you would think they think twice setting him loose and because for sure he'll come back to organize a counter attack! Arrrgh!
And they had to do the escaping through the tree scene in slo mo because it would look (and was) ridiculous seeing Theo hobble away from a horde of blood thirsty orcs chasing him... they would have been on him in a flash!! He wouldn't have got ten feet. Also... didn't the orcs that had Pippin and Merry run non stop for about three days when Aragorn was chasing them? They didn't stop running during the day and were out in the open sunlight.
@@FightCollective I'm pretty sure it was the uruk hai who took merry and pippin. They don't have the weaknesses that orcs have, if i recall correctly they were half men and half orc.
The names in Tolkiens books are pretty easy to get mixed up. Some of them sound almost exactly the same and just the sheer amount of people in his stories is incredible. Also why did Amazon make more characters?
Also anything depicted about this time period in books and other primary sources is to much spread acros time to make coheasive story that is not taking place over centuries. That seems like tha basic idea, but execution is hard.

This is 100x better than the absolute corporate dumpster fire that is RoP.
These are amazing. Can't stop laughing at the none stop comedy, love the sarcasm.
"I need a new Staff" yeah... about that.. Gandalf.. I rewatched the first movie yesterday... and it hit me... how DID you get your staff back? Saruman took it away from you, you didn't have it at the top of Isengard, nor when you escaped riding the eagle... but, when you met up with the others at Rivendell.. you did. :)
They made him a new one, if you look carefully you will see it has a different shape
@@wulfheort8021 huh indeed, well spotted sir. Pretty subtle though :) had to see them side by side.
@@FiliusFidelis didnt find out myself though haha, got it from a video a long time ago
@@wulfheort8021 As I looked I noticed a pretty awesome detail. I couldn't tell if it was also a feature of the 'new' staff but on the old I could see his smoking pipe tucked into the top of the staff. Talk about adding details next to noone would ever notice.
@@FiliusFidelis That shows how invested PJ and his crew were. they had guys linking the rings of chainmail for hours a day for 1 year straight. every person that participated in making the movies is a hero.
Stumbled upon you and these Gandalf videos the other day, keep it up!
i wish amazone made more episodes, 8 is not enough to roast. your channel makes the serie fun!
I'm enjoying the roastings far more than RoP... I only watch RoP so I can keep up with all the roastings it gets.
@@FightCollective indeed sir
Another brilliant bit of work!
Excellent! You are better writers than those who made this show.
The channel that we don't know that we really need
Thanks mate
Hello my name is Gandalf and I'm addicted to pipeweed.
„This clever tree“ 😂
Absolutely love your takes on this terrible trash that is the Rings of Power. Very happy I subscribed!
The rings of power is not even that bad, now we all hate forced woke stuff but I don't even think it's that woke. Just by your words I can tell you're just super biased because you've been watching a whole bunch of overly anti-sjw people
@@zacharymalone9901 by your comment I can tell that you're a troll...
@@zacharymalone9901 I've watched 3 episodes and i can say it is really bad dull and lazy scripts on top of the woke sjw garbage but i guess they go hand in hand
@@zacharymalone9901 ITs moching with the europe folktore and the aryan people genetics,, its a total trash
@@zacharymalone9901 I don't actually care about the woke stuff; I just find the show very boring, which is a feat considering I adore everything Tolkien related.
"I AM SEVERUS" fucking hilarious.
ok can we just get you to make a LOTR spinoff i'd sooner watch your impressions then amazons bs any day! they are top notch, I love the deepfake faces. so good!
"Let's go to the internet's version of Helm's Deep"
"...Club Penguin."
LOL
You have the perfect reviews. Comedy mixed with Tolkeinesque insight as the beloved characters (and Severus Snape).
This video restored my faith in humanity 🙏
And cured my gout 👍
3rd time rewatching this 🤣 You realise you're making me watch the show now to get all the jokes? Lmao
I actually look forward on watching this now since I have decided to drop the show after episode 4. Will probably just watch the entire thing once all episodes come out.
🤣🤣🤣
And Gandalf's comment @1:56 is EXACTLY what I thought!. All that drama, tension and struggle in Episode 3 and then they just let him go??? And not to mention, Arondir managed to kill lots of orcs and a warg, you would think they think twice setting him loose and because for sure he'll come back to organize a counter attack! Arrrgh!
They gave him a bunch of weapons for the journey home, too. Very kind of them.
So that's where the cashless bail system Idea came from!
Helbrand also gets released for no reason at the end of that episode. Or the punishment for stealing and assault is less than a week.
They don't have the weaknesses that orcs have, if i recall correctly they were half men and half orc.
absolute golden
The names in Tolkiens books are pretty easy to get mixed up. Some of them sound almost exactly the same and just the sheer amount of people in his stories is incredible. Also why did Amazon make more characters?
Because they don't have the rights to anything from this time period, or at least very little rights.
Also anything depicted about this time period in books and other primary sources is to much spread acros time to make coheasive story that is not taking place over centuries. That seems like tha basic idea, but execution is hard.
watching these is actually making me want to finish the seires, just so i can have context for the next few episodes of this.
i literally only want to watch it so that _these_ videos make sense to me 😂
keep this going... I'm not even watching this horrid woke show but this series is non-stop hilarity.
it's not even woke. it's just... not as good as it should be
@@DaveDexterMusic "You are simply bad product." - Stan Edgar
love that the big box was for a lego piece.
Lets be honest, at least the travesty of a show that is rings of power gave birth to super entertaining reviews like this
this was the most fucking awesome thing ive seen or could have asked for regarding lotr... the actual actors roasting the hell out of rings of power... thank you.... thank you.
It’s a deepfake
Loving these roasts of the pitiful rings of power.
“it’s just autumn” 😂
Two of my brothers are watching the ROP show I am not. They have been giving me crap all along telling me I’m too much of a fan boy to enjoy it. I haven’t responded much to them, it’s not really worth it. Instead I sent them these review videos and now they understand more lol
Lol
Gandalf booking himself into rehab 😂 I've never laughed so hard in my life!
