This is so true. Just bought some land after the first wave of covid. Now living a farm life, working part time, while my hubby works full time on the farm. So peaceful.

It’s very simple, we’re just sick and tired of corporate America. It’s a different form of slavery.
My saying, it doesn’t matter what you make, it matters how you feel at the end of the day.

If I were in health care or biotech I’d quit too. After the pandemic exposed how stupid humanity is, I’m opposed to anything that extends your lifespans.

Me and my brother are nurses. We resigned last month, bought a 20 acre land and start a career in farming. Our friends thought we made a stupid decision. Apparently, we're not the only ones who are becoming millennial farmers.

with kids doing virtual school with the start of covid, i decided to step back from my career for the first time and we decided to put all our stuff in storage and travel to the national parks in our motorhome. Never thought we would be a nomadic family but here we are. This spring we were in key west florida, then end of summer we were in the pacific northwest, and now we're by the colorado river in houston. Sometimes life gets shaken up. Maybe I'll go back to work one day, maybe not.

This can only work if you are college debt free. When I graduated I owed $75k+ in student loans. My question for these young people would be if they had student debt or if their parents paid for their degrees. Not everyone has access to generational wealth.

Happy for them. I wonder if they have familial financial support that allows them to make this shift in occupation? CBS check the other angles please and give us a holistic look at this 'phenomena'.

@bel z. Yes it's called NOT being happy for people these because they want to do the bare minimum and likely live off the government because of it.
If you have the education to makeover on a thousand a year you probably should take it and stop being lazy.
      Does that make sense now?

Actually you can do both, wake up early to do a gardening at your balcony or backyard, have a good shower afterward and go to work and come back again in the evening to check on the garden and tired body and mind gives you a good sleep. Spend time you visit to the bar and shopping to do some gardening. have the best of both world.

They didn't go to a farm in the South I noticed. I also think it's interesting that 2 of the 3 think of this as a break and not a career shift and I think it's because they lost so much of their income.
