The belt on mine is a smooth v groove belt (Goodyear B26/ 5L290 it’s 29”) Doesn’t have the teeth like yours…. I ordered the same smooth belt. Should I put one like in your video on instead? Thanks
+David Knowles You can pull the cover and eyeball the belt. If it is worn on the edges it's time to replace. If the wear is deep enough it will affect your top speed. While you are in there be sure to note the size of the belt so you can order one to keep as a spare. If they fail they come apart so spectacularly you would no longer be able to read the numbers.
@@fratermus5502 spot on about noting the right size belt BEFORE you need it! Broke supercharger belt on mustang and spent few minutes walking up and down the road picking up pieces to try and find number on it.
Shop Replaced a shredded belt for me. Never had broke belt before so original belt that broke. Shop Put new belt on. I picked it up. when i got home it started run what felt in a lower gear for about 10 min. Reved up. Then it shreaded the new belt. Its that a possible clutch problem? wrong size belt? any input would be appreciated.
Do you have an opinion on witch rear clutch to purchase. There appears to be a large price difference. As low as 80 and as high as 300 direct from dealer
I have a kandi 150 gka2 with gy6 motor ,I was driving the go kart and something pop and now the go kart don't move just accelerate ,don't go forward and reverse, you think this could be the problem, help

I see nobody from GoPowerSports cared enough to respond to your question. Tom Stevens has several really good videos that explain and illustrate CVTs. I’m also having issues with lurching or choppy acceleration. Tom’s son explains in one of his videos that flattened variator rollers cause it. Well, I took mine apart today and sure enough they have flat spots. I will order new variator and clutch tonight along with spares but not from GoPowerSports. Tom also sells parts and he responded to my question in less than a day. True business right there. Good luck.

Is it possible to strip the spline? Because wii go to take off on my buggy it slips and jerks very bad!

+John Doe I found the problem it's the forward gear I had to gear a hole gear assembly and shift fork gotta pull the transmission
