  • In this week's video we check out another product from Talon Grips. The Talon Slide Grips use the company's laser cut grip tape to add a bit more bite to the rear serrations when gripping your slide. This setup guide uses the Gen 5 G34 MOS in particular, put the install process is largely the same across any other make or model. The Talon Slide Grips go on easily and can be a nice little upgrade for those want a little extra on top of their stock serrations, and they are especially helpful in hot and damp conditions.

Just so you know... We do know you exist. Haha! We appreciate the honest reviews over the years. We have gotten outstanding reviews so far on the TALON Slide Grips. As a 40-something with strong hands I was totally reluctant at first, but once we did some tests in the shop and at the range, I am sold on them! My father is also in his mid-late 70's and with weakened hand strength these have made shooting more enjoyable for him again! Anyways, THANK YOU Range Day for making this video. Keep up the good work!

@@RangeDay For me it looks nice with the grip on the serrations, it combines fine with the frame grip as well :P Thumbs up for the video and for your nice glock.
By the way, do you know by any chance if there is any difference between Glock 17 Gen 5 grip and Gen 5 MOS ?
As on their website they are listed separately...thanks!

I just put these on my Beretta 92FS. This gun mostly forces you to use just your thumb and index finger. With an overhand grip the 92FS will sometimes bite you like an alligator and draw blood. I've lost some strength in my left thumb and was looking for a solution. The slide grip gives plenty of friction to rack even with my weak thumb. $10 well spent. While I feel like I'm doing an ad for Talon, they found a glue that let's you pull off and straighten a crooked application. It's only after you heat it that the glue sets like concrete and the grip becomes one with the gun.

I have talon grips on my 3 competition sigs. Love them. That new application seems kinda dumb. Just something else to peel off. But thanks for trying to make it look good ( that parts a yuk).

I think it’s a decent idea for the right people. Might not suit everyone though.

Does that top plate piece not go further up so those half circle cuts fit around the screws? Talon rocks. They are a huge improvement to the slide imo. Also a must for me for any gun that does not allow full grip updates like those from LOK Grips.

I was wrong. I just bought these and the screws don’t line up properly. The way he does it must be the proper way. Pretty dumb though. They should design it around the plate screws

I thought the cut outs were for the screws as well. But Scott is correct, they don’t line up right, not big enough cut outs or they aren’t close enough together. I agree that it’s weird.

They oughta make a pair for the front serrations also!?

If it’s factory serrations you could probably use the same grip set honestly.

      Thanks for the comment!
And for your question, if you mean the actual hand grip tape from Talon, there shouldn’t be any difference for the G17 MOS vs regular. If you mean the slide grips for the serrations there is a difference and you’ll want to select the version that matches what you have.
