Thanks for the video. I'm having the same problem on my 02 civic. Gonna replace the thermostat.

Alfredo Rosales I hope it helps. My civic worked fine after changing the thermostat for a little bit, but then started acting weird again a month or two later. Never had the time to really figure it out. Didn't know if it was a heater core issue or what. If you don't mind keeping me updated on how it works out for you, that would be awesome cause now in curious since you have the same issue. Thanks buddy

Nick Rosas Never did figure it out. Thought it was a head gasket but that wasn't the case either. Sorry I couldn't be more help. Let me know if you figure it out though because I've been curious about it to this day

Nick Rosas I ended up selling it. The guy knew of the issues and acted like it wasn't a big deal so I still don't know what the issue was. Wish I did though

Alfredo Rosales Yeah I'm pretty sure they'll charge for the diagnostic. My fan would kick on, so that's what confused me. I don't know man. I would be interested in knowing what it is when you do find out though

Joe Leazott hopefully you’re able to get it running properly. It was suggested in the comments to clean the throttle body as well. Let me know how if you have any success with doing that. Then hopefully we can pass along what you did to help the next person. Good luck!

Che Fonzy I’m gonna change the thermostat and see if that fixes the problem first! I’ll keep you updated

Joe Leazott I think that’s a good place to start. I did that on mine but it didn’t seem to solve my issue. Hopefully it’s an easy fix and works for her car though. Definitely keep me updated. Thanks buddy.

U need to clean your throttle body and intake valves aswell ... Your car is idleling too low ...it should be 900 rpm

wajahat ali I’m sure it could’ve used that to be done. I didn’t end up keeping it long after this video. Thanks for the idea on how to make it run better.
