I’m not handy at all and was forced to do this myself. Although I couldn’t remove the bottom hose, I changed it without a lot of effort. Thanks for the video.
Quick Tip: instead of pouring straight forward the way you did, turn the bottle on it's side. It is much easier to control and you won't spill near as much. Hope this helps.
You way overfilled the coolant reservoir, which will cause top to pop off when pressure is found in the system. The fill up line to max is in the lower bottom kinda hard to see.
@@MosWrld100 there’s a minimum and fill line on the reservoir. How’s the extra coolant escape? It’s supposed to be an air tight system. Not sure where the excess would go at least that much of it
Overheating if the thermostat is failed closed and if it failed open it would take forever to get to operating temp and during the winter your heat won’t work as well because the car can’t get to temp
You needed to flush that radiator, like extremely clean it, flush it 2 or 3 times & then purge (burp) the system of air or else you'll get air into your engine.
So I have an 05 Honda Civic and it's got the vtec solenoid the wiring coming off of the VTEC however that leads to a harness doesn't plug into anything else why would that be

I had to figure that one out on my own. GREAT TIP!
Worked like a charm! Thanks for taking the time n effort to make this video!

Lmfao I was thinking the same thing
Kind of??? 🤔 More like damn near impossible!! Aside from its shitty position, the plastic is so thick you can't see thru it. 🥴
Someone buy this man a funnel
He used it at the end lol
I thought the thermostat would be on hose that goes to the top of the radiator? Thx for pointing that out.
You filled up the reservoir tank way to much.
Yea but it has an overflow hose to let any extra coolant escape
@@MosWrld100 it does? I've been looking for the escape hose on my 2005 civic but I couldn't find it

Hello What is the symptoms of a bad thermostat?
Overheating if the thermostat is failed closed and if it failed open it would take forever to get to operating temp and during the winter your heat won’t work as well because the car can’t get to temp
Thank so much!
My car dont defog until I am driving that's when the air blowing in from vent get warm. Is that sign of a bad thermostat
@@stickshiftdriver1832 yes, that could mean it’s failed and stuck open
Mine doesn’t open when I’m parked but when I’m driving it does. Is that considered bad.
whats up people
Mostly car temps
Honda is blue coolant breh
dosent have to be
i use green, look at the ingredientes

Before you added the thermostat did you gauge go to hot on your car?
Bino Trone sometimes it would go up a bit but never reached hot
@@MosWrld100 because my Honda running hot and I was trying to see wat was the issue.
probably because the thermostat is shut and doesnt open to let fans turn on and the coolant to flow through bottom radiator hose
Exactly what my Civic was doing. Thermostat shut closed. Wouldn’t let the fans turn on.
@@punkybeerconsumer sometimes if i flick the ac on like 1 click on. For a 2001 civic 7th generation, itll get the fans on.
motorad thermostat will fail sooner or later.
This doesn’t tell me anything

Squeezy squeezy lemon peasey! Gotta massage them lines to get the air out!
Just give em some love squeezes while cold to help coax the air out!
Very dirty job 🤮 I would never bring my car to you to get it fixed⚠️ P. S. Mixing Honda blue coolant with some greenish brand is wrong ⚠️
