      A lot of factors depend on this. I heard the AUTOSAVER88 cats on Amazon are pretty good quality for the money for about $200. You do pay for what you get. My truck (2000 Silverado 5.3 z71 4x4) isn't probably worth even 5k and it's got about 215k on it and I'm pretty sure one of my CATS is failing. No way I'm dropping more than a couple of hundred bucks to fix it.

      It's a PITA. Getting off all the bolts and removing the cross member to hold up the transmission is a major pain and getting off all 4 o2 sensors as well. Just quote out the labor from a shop. Probably will take them less than 2 hours. If you don't have their tools and little to no experience a few hours. I have to replace mine and the labor involved isn't worth the time value.

    I have a 2001 Toyota Echo, and the serpentine belt (power steering) keeps tearing! we have checked the pulleys for sharpness or something that might be causing the belt to tear in the same place after just a few days, what could it be the problem? Any feedback is appreciated.

    • @chefonzy1
      @chefonzy1 2 роки тому

      What a pain! I’m not 100% sure what that would be. My first thought would be some thing sharp in the pulley as well. But since you’ve already checked it, my next thought would be that the belt is too tight in there and the pressure is causing it to fail.

    After much fiddling, I found the order the belt is installed makes a big difference. First install it on the two large bottom pulleys. They are the hardest to reach. Next, keeping tension of the belt so it doesn't slip off those pulleys, wrap the belt around the small alternator pulley at the top. All that remains is to slide the belt around the water pump pulley beneath the alternator pulley. Since that one doesn't have a v-notch, you can force it in place more easily that the others. Then tighten up the belt with the alternator.

    Great holster and a great gun. I own the Rosewood SAS with trijicon sights and it was my edc for a few years. My desantis appears to be a little different but yes, they break in nicely and are super comfortable after a couple weeks of use. The desantis hides are imo the best and coupled with the 938’s which are top shelf firearms, it’s a perfect match. Only reason I stopped carrying mine is because once your forced to shoot it as a defense against an attacker , you lose it. You’ll never get it back from the cops. My setup is $1000 easy and that’s a loss I’m not willing to take. So Taurus G2 and GX4 I won’t mind so much when the cops want to steal my shit after I drop some douche for trying to rob me. :)

    Can the strap be snapped closed while carrying cocked and locked? I was looking to get one but I remember hearing people having trouble snapping the strap in place with the hammer cocked

      lukelem It wouldn’t work to have it cocked. It’s a snug fit without it being cocked back. I really like the holster though and would buy another one.

      jafar alkoot My catalytic converter was making a rattling noise because it had broken apart inside. So unfortunately I had to replace the whole unit, instead of just cleaning it. But thanks for the comment and suggestion.
