I appreciate the effort you put into your scripts. Haven't caught any livestreams since maliketh ELDEN RING. I'll try and watch all the "fuckalicious" going on.
I forgot to mention this in the video, but for those who don't know: the katana I'm holding from time to time is magic sword Makoto. Holding it slowly drains away your HP, which is an efficient way of setting up the clever rat ring
17:50 i remember watching the full version of this fight, trying to think of why this is, and if i am right, the hit detection for the miracle is a single sphere, rather than multiple sphres used in later titles. because the spell is AOE, bosses have different parts that can take damage separately and Wrath of God can only hit an enemy once, it is coded to only allow the first hit detected. long story short; the detection sphere is hitting something else first so the damage isn't coming through; like hitting the arm instead of the belly wound or a shoulder before the bird.
Hey press. I know your probably still scarred from this challenge so I won’t say much, but you have so much patience and great ideas for long videos. Keep up the great work man.
I think the problem with the adjudicator is when the AOE begins it spreads outwards from the character in a circle, and the moment it hits a target it does the damage, but only once, it cannot hit multiple times on the same entity, so the fact that your character was too close to an impervious spot than any of the weak spots counted the AOE as just hitting the immune part of the boss thus dealing no damage. So if your radius at the end of the cast was closer to the weak spot than any other part of the boss it would deal damage instead of being a whiff. Love the vids btw :)
Really hope we get to see more Demon's Souls runs from you. It's so rare to see people doing them and while it isn't as popular as the other Souls games it's still fun to see challenges done on it.
No matter how much I care about your mental health, watching the streams was really funny. Keep up the gr8 work man, can't wait to see the channel reach 100k
That cinches it, I've gotta start watching the VODs. I got hit by a car yesterday while crossing the street, and that's just been the icing on the cake to my last two months, which have nearly been the worst of my life. That said, as soon as I heard you start talking, I cracked a smile and relaxed. You've got quite the cathartic and enjoyable tone, and I could apparently use more of that.
15:34 I think the hit detection is based on which part of the body you hit first, which normally even with an AoE shouldn't be all that difficult but the Adjudicator has specific and strict weak points which makes it nearly impossible to reliably hit. There are also other shenanigans I'm not sure i could even attempt to describe though
I may be wrong but I feel like I remember killing the storm king with God's wrath when standing at the very top of the hill when he reaches the lowest point of his arc (by hitting his tail, maybe?) but that was in the original anyway and I might just be confusing him with the red dragon Edit: After testing it, yes you can hit him with God's wrath, at least in the original
I love the "Alright" you say in every fockin video! And, I also that I'm gonna have lots of fun and maybe, a new challenge to try myself. Love you content and your taste in choosing music for it ❤🤘

Hey Press, a week ago I visited the Netherlands (Amsterdam) on a roadtrip, even though I had no wifi i kept thinking about you :) I want everyone in their lives to visit the netherlands atleast once.
The move at the 21 minute mark did exist in the original and on my playthrough the spider used it like, 66% of the time. I also kept trying to hide out near that item though.
Damn. I wasn't always there for the streams, so I missed some of the scenes in the vid, like the time an arrow hit you from beyond the fog(wall). That alone deserved a like XD Glad to see the return of the Witch puns XD. Classic One of my favorite parts of the streams was when chat would try to come up with new strategies. It was fun. Looking forward to the next streams, which I assume won't be demon's souls for a while, huh? XD
Makes me wonder... if gimmick bosses are a "fail" point of every challenge run, how much of a challenge would it be using just the gimmick weapon be for the entire run? I mean, it's usually still an actual weapon with scaling and a real moveset and stuff, so it might be nice and easy.
The stormruler is basically just a unupgradable and unbuffable greatsword that breaks very quickly. But it has a very beneficial feature against human-sized enemies as you can see at the beginning of the video. It consistently knocks them on the ground.
I like demons souls, but wtf does take an insane amount of dedication and patience. Fair play for doing it, I have a huge amount of respect for people who do things like this
Not sure if you remember me, but years ago I commented on a video that the way you speak sounded fake. I went back to that video to comment today, but I wanted to do it here too since I assume you don't really check old comments. After rewatching that video, I think my point was still valid, but: 1. As you said back then, people don't really care, I was simply being nitpicky. It wasn't nearly as bad as I made it out to be. I was being hormonal, sorry. 2. Years later of watching your content passively, I've noticed that you've also significantly improved further as well. So all in all, I'm sorry for being an asshole. I'm glad my comment didn't discourage you. Thank you for the fun content, I love watching your videos to relax, and keep on pressing continue king!
I think what's happening with Adjudicator is that most of his body is invulnerable and spells can usually only hit a target once, so when cast Wrath of Gods it registers the hit against his blubber first a lot of the time. Since spells can only hit once the blubber hit does no damage and you don't score a hit against his bird or wound.
I think I know why Adjudicator was such a hassle. Essentially, the boss is one model with three areas that can be hit: the body, the blade that impales the body, and the bird. For an AoE, whatever it hits first is what takes the hit. The reason why the bird was never hit was because a part of the body was always closer unless it was bent over.
Yeah it seems to be that a single target can only get hit once from a single cast. So if it connects with any other part of the boss first, it won't do any damage
if the merchant lady dies I'm pretty sure you could still farm aged spice off the angry Cthulhu head guys in Latria 1...but yeah, probably easier to just not let her die so you can still buy em
Not watched yet but i bet you suffered in the tower of latria. I remember trying that as a mage on ng+ those red squid guys with ohko you without even thinking about it. Gl edit. Yeah after 5 minutes i realise everything ohko's you

Yeah must be something along those lines
That actually makes sense, because the hit detection was pretty messed up on that fight.
