The city of Newcastle and the city of Chicago are both working class cities. Nothing is given and everything is earned. As a life long Cubs fan (baseball) I can see many direct parallels with Newcastle United. And for this, the Magpies are my team. I follow them like religion here in the states. One day I will make the trip to this city and see a match with my own eyes. I will soak in the city with the same fervor and delight that I show visitors around my city. I will delight in the fact that i am in the stadium to see my team just as I delight in every second I am in Wrigley field in Chicago. I will make new friends and bond over a beer or two for our beloved football club, NEWCASTLE UNITED FC!

I am a 47 year old Geordie and we were vibrant, Happy, Crazy, When we went away from home but these Newcastle fans now look miserable and it makes you wonder why they even bother ! I think that is why the atmosphere in the stadium is non existent anymore due to a lot of old school fans turning their back on the modern game. If that was an away coach going from Union Berlin, Athletic Bilboa, Lazio, Roma, Juventus etc, They would be singing, Flags everywhere, And everyone going crazy. Looking at that coach it was like The Train Spotters Annual Trip with the half hearted singing and the ashen faced fans looking like they are on their way to face a firing squad ! What has happened to football fans in England because that was depression personified !
Newcastle deserves to be atleast in top 5 clubs in england list. They deserve a better owner. Not a business only man who understands nothing about the fan's passion and culture.

West ham being london based, their fans dont have to make the journies that tyne fans do
Boleyn grounds didn’t feel like London
I'm from Plymouth and was there the day Newcastle got promoted back into the premier league while we got relegated to league 1. When the game finished we played 'we are the champions', it was bittersweet
Watching this in 2022, chin up guys it gets much, much, much better!
In this and other worlds,Newcastle United are one of my favourite clubs and fully respect their respective supporters daily in my life forever and every generations that we would be born, good friends!!!Congratulations to your team's victory away at Leicester City by 4-2 yesterday, good friends!!!:-DUnlike those fake big clubs of Chelsea and Manchester City that have destroyed the true meaning of the sport for more than 10 years, good friends!!!
Good perspective
My club 🖤
I hope the makers of this documentary come back and talk to all those people in 5 years…
As am American based NUFC fan I’ve understood some but not all of the fan’s grumbling... I get it now
My first Newcastle game was against Sheffield Wednesday in 1997. We need the fans to have a say in the running of the club, bring and bring back my passion for the game, this club and the city.

I've got absolutely no connection to Newcastle Utd, frankly I think they're kind of boring, but GOD DAMN do I miss travelling to away games. This video made me really long for those days and journeys. Fuck Covid.
We’ll find normalcy again. Im confident.
Away Days are something we will are wanting back next season!
Fascinating. The same interview 30 times over. Thank god ASHLEY'S OUT AND WE'RE GONNA BE PLAYING EUROPA NEXT YEAR!!
Fairplay to the chap who travelled 40hours from Malaysia!
VASCO DA GAMA + NEWCASTLE UNITED = 😍
Love Newcastle!!!
As an American football fan I feel like it’s almost a success story for fans like these the best teams come from the Midwest and the south the undisputed top three teams are from Ohio, Alabama and South Carolina. To make it even more enjoyable the west coast teams are not good and neither are the north east
Massive respect to Newcastle fans. Im not English so I had no idea they were getting screwed like this. Since this video covers the 18/19 season i hope this nonsense hasn’t happened anymore (prior to covid times ofc).
It has continued
I take it your not aware of how we were screwed over by the Premier league with our takeover?
@@Ashthestampede88 i saw news that an Arabian prince wanted to buy the club but somehow the deal fell off. Thats about all i know. Im not sure if it was Mike Ashley or the Prem who made it not happen.
It was the Premier league that held the deal up for so long so the saudis backed out there was rumours of some of the big 6 stopping it as well so it didn't become the big 7 theres a big court case going on from Mike Ashley taking the Premier league on but I can't see much happening from it
@@Ashthestampede88 That’s a shame really. Newcastle used to be a big team 20 years ago when i first started watching the prem. Hopefully something can be done to male the competitive again.
