@@Bert-lw1ot yeah and? he's still underrated. He has the most goal contributions in the premier league and most chances created of anyone but is still not nailed on for an England spot somehow
@@ScharAznable we all think he should be in the squad, right? So how is that underrated?
Gary has hit a goldmine with this Overlap. Anthony Gordon has come across incredibly well as others have. If I was a footballer or sportsperson's agent, I would be blowing up Gary's phone to get on to this. Does wonders for somebody's image. Gordon has proven me wrong for some stereotype we have, all the best to him.
Anthonnyy Gordon! So glad he plays for the toon. Mr. Howe better work 24/7 to make this lad a champion. It would be a tragedy if we do not win anything and he had to leave to achieve it. He deserves to go to the Euros as well.
What a refreshingly honest and open interview and what a gem of a footballer we have - wow
I can’t get over how mature he is. He had a tough start but he’s been a machine this season
Very very impressed with Anthony Gordon. Didn't expect him to be like that but hes got the mentality to succeed at the highest level. Also seems like a lovely guy
Special player, special young man, so proud to have Anthony wear our shirt, rare to see a player so committed with so much desire to fight for absolutely everything, completely changed my perception of him. Such a special player, so intelligent, so aware of what the team needs, so able to do multiple things on the pitch, clinical, decisive. He's turning into a really top player and pro.
This is literally one of the best interviews ive ever watched. Im sure ag has changed so many peoples minds about him after this. I dont think anybody has realised how articulate as a person he really is.
Total changed my perception of him!! What a great lad and love his confidence and drive. Really hope he makes the euros squad and gets to where he wants to go in his career!!
What a great lad! Clever, articulate and refreshingly open and honest.
Well that’s my preconception of him blown out of the water. What a top, mature, intelligent, well thought and considered guy he is! Very refreshing!!
I was one of those to write him off before we even signed him but he’s been the best surprise after a tough season. Him saying that he’ll be the one to take the penalty to save his life is admirable, it oozes unshakeable confidence. Best quality is definitely his mentality.
Seems like a smart driven lad, parents must be proud of him, well done Gary for the interview
Bro's mentality is on another level! That's why he's so amazing on the pitch, he understands football is a mental sport before anything even before you walk onto that pitch.
I wish him all the best..
#TrueBeast!
This is by far the best Overlap interview I have seen. I’m an Evertonian but am shocked at how wrong my perception of Anthony Gordon was. Top lad, very impressive. Also, well done Gary, you are a better host than you think.
What a nice lad. I love these open interviews, they are far more authentic than normal tv
I mean anything on TV that isn't live, is never going to be "open" as it were. Get what you mean though, these have that feeling.
Brilliant interview with a very bright, articulate and driven young man. Fantastic.
This is why Eddie pushed so hard to get him. Absolute dedication to be the best he can be. Mature beyond his years.
So glad we got him over madison
What an amazing conversation with a remarkable young player with a real depth of character.
Just the kind of mindset and personality that England need this summer…great interview once again. This channel is gold
Unreal. Definitely the most eye opening interview you've done.
Gary 'I'm absolutely mesmerized' Neville chats to Anthony 'I'm into Psychology' Gordon - and the bromance sparks FLY!
i love how he came across, been backing him from the day he signed for us despite the outside noise, what a player he is, likeable, humble and most surprising relatable. That’s very very rare from a player my age
Brilliant interview from Gary and what a remarkable young man Anthony is hope he goes all the way in whatever he does 👍
What a signing he has been. I was doubtful at the start but my god he’s proved me and so many others wrong. What a player 👏
What a man, what an inspiration. Keep doing what you’re doing brother, keep learning and you’ll reach your goals. 🎵 Makes the Geordies sing, Gordon!
A LOT of people needed to see this! Including me! Impressive young man that clearly has the drive it’s going to take to succeed! Great interview 👍👍
Great interview. Love Anthony Gordon more each time i see him.
One of the best interviews Gary a young man to admire
Great interview - before this I had the same impression of Gordon as probably most did, wasnt too sure of him and felt like he might have been a bit "cocky". My opinion of him has totally changed, and am so happy for him that he doesnt let others opinions get to him, but is more than happy to change their opinion if given the opportunity. Wish him all the best for a great career!
Elite player. Elite mentality. Going to the top with Newcastle and England.
Doubt with Newcastle tbh another season or two he’ll be off
@@maddogg8579 Another season or two and you lot will be off to the championship
Wow. Talk about misconceptions! What an interesting, thoughtful and pleasant young man Anthony Gordon is. Massive respect. And a great interview.
What an absolute credit Anthony Gordon is to Newcastle utd and for the younger generation as a whole ,I'm amazed at how well rounded and polite he is ,just a great young gentleman and nice to see
This lad can easily be one of the best in the game, his attitude is everything you could wish for in a young player. When he said "when we win a trophy (at Newcastle)" that just made me love him more. He knows what can be done with hard work.
Well done #AG10 and you should definitely be in the England Squad.
I think this interview will win a lot of new fans for this lad and convert some detractors. Really impressive young man with a brilliant attitude.
So impressed by Anthony Gordon, shows such amazing maturity and a deep understanding of himself and the game, so many other young players in the EPL could learn from his great habits he has in his life!
So proud to see him in an England 🏴 shirt also!
What a great 👍 role model
This kid is a managers dream. switched on, pragmatic and ambitious. add that to his talent and work ethic and hes got all the requiremnts to become a great player. we're blessed to have him at the toon.
Excellent interview, Gordon has come on leaps and bounds since leaving Everton and joining the worlds greatest team.
Anthony Gordon wow! Omg! Never judge anyone ever again. This blew my mind. This kid is seriously impressive. One of the most insightful episodes ever
Love this guy and his intensity - what a consummate professional. Unpretentious, no bling or flash. Others would do well to take note.
Class lad and class player. We're buzzing to have him at the toon, he's loved up North.
Sensational interview this. What an articulate, intelligent young man. So happy he’s a toon player.
I have a new respect for Anothony. He's really focused
Best Overlap Interview Ever!, Thanks Gary & Team , Thank You Anthony for sharing your thoughts and your views on life and football. Amazing, Truly Amazing.
This is a great interview from both. Gordon is an inspiration to people here, that's a strong role model
Top interview from GazNev and i gotta say quite an impressive young man , confident without being arrogant 👍🏻👍🏻
WOW! That's not what i expected, if I'm honest. Such a fascinating person, he will get to the very top. Gary you did alright too haha, love ya Gary
Glad you enjoyed it! 🤝
I'm so proud of the professionalism, humility and maturity of this generation of England lads (Gordon, Jude, Saka to name a few) such a young age with the weight of the world on their shoulders and they handle themselves with absolute class and decorum. No matter what team you support, these are our lads and they need to be nurtured and encouraged not only for the benefits of their future careers but also for the future generations to come.
These interviews always reveal an unexpected side of the athletes that is great to see. Gary always manages to get them comfortable enough to open up.
Watched him play live at Selhurst Park last night, he is lightning quick, great movement and an all round excellent footballer. Appears to be a very uncomplicated and humble fella. I wish him all the best.
Yeah and much much smarter than we’d all assumed. We live and learn.
This guy is such an authentic human! So driven and I wish we had one player of this Ilk in manutd
Me thinks G Nev was very impressed with Gordan and so was I!! What a lovely lad with a amazing attitude. Keep reaching for the stars lad.
Loved loved loved this! So proud that you are part of our club Anthony 🖤🤍. Brilliant interview and you are fast becoming my favourite Newcastle player along with big Joe. You're only going to get better and better. Exciting times next season. Cant wait. 🖤🤍🖤🤍
This interview has opened my eyes up on Gordon, what a lad he is.... major respect to him 👍
We’re all very very proud of him.
He’s a credit to himself and the club. Next season he’ll be in the conversation about best inside forward in the world ✨
What a fantastic young man... completely changed my perception of him after this!
Overlap is the best most enjoyable part of my day. More more of these pleaseeeee!
