I am from Punjab, India, and I recently did my DNA, which came back 99.9 % North Indian. I am proud of the fact that my DNA is completely Indian without any foreign DNA. I am a Jat Sikh, and my forefathers were all Hindus who adopted Sikhism and are natives of this region.

When Arabs invaded Sindh and then subsequent Turkic invasions after 10th century, it is clear that majority of Hindus remained Hindus. It was Buddhists that got converted to Islam. If a 100% Central Asian marries a pure South Asian no matter how long his history of being a Central Asian, his children will be 50% South Asian at the higher end and it will reflect in the looks too and if that child marries a South Asian again his child's DNA could be a high as 75% South Asian (and at 50% at the lower end) and looks will also change. My original comment was about these people confusing Central Asian and Middle Eastern, if I remember correctly.

Foreign DNA lasts only for about 7 generations, anyway, if people keep marrying within their own country. So not having Arab, Persian, or Central Asian DNA does NOT mean that you didn't have ancestors from those regions. Nobody in pakistan is completely indian, central asian or arab. Pakistani people are mixed with many people belonging to the turkish, arab, mongol origin. Mirzas, barlas castes are of mongol origin. Syeds, awans are of arab origin. Rajputs, rajas and many other punjabi castes are of punjab origin. (Not indian origin cuz india is diverse itself with many different people). Sindhis are not indians but local to the land of sindh. Balochs n pushtuns are also local to their respective lands just like kashmiris n people of gilgit n hunza. They all have nothing to do with india. Only some castes of Punjab (excluding syeds , awans, mirzas, barlas n some other castes) are similar to indian punjabis. Sonobody is indian here.

The first few waves of Aryans who migrated some 5000 years ago from Germany and it’s adjoining areas settled mainly in the Indus Valley Region. Therefore the ancestors of the present day population of Indus Valley region are from Indus Valley itself who occupied and settled in the valley.

Ganges became prominent because the Ganges system is the second highest flow in the world after the Amazon. Ganges system is 43000 m3/s while the whole Indus system is much tinier at only 5500 m3/s. This is also why there are no real forests or wildlife in the Northwestern subcontinent. There are no tigers, elephants, rhinos, lions, gibbon ape, gaur bison (way bigger than American bison), etc in Pakistan.
I am Pakistani and have had my DNA test, and I am 5% Arab, 3% Persian, 10% Central Asian/Afghani, 1% Levantine, 1% Anatolian, and less than 1% North African. The rest I am like other people in Northern India and Pakistan. Family history says that our ancestors came from Central Asia, so that makes sense.

If a 100% Central Asian marries a pure South Asian no matter how long his history of being a Central Asian, his children will be 50% South Asian at the higher end and it will reflect in the looks too and if that child marries a South Asian again his child's DNA could be a high as 75% South Asian (and at 50% at the lower end) and looks will also change. My original comment was about these people confusing Central Asian and Middle Eastern, if I remember correctly.

There is a huge controversy brewing in arab world where some of the members of the bani shayba family that carries the key of the kaaba generation over generation even before islam did take a dna test and it turned out they belonged to R1 haplogroup which is an indo-european haplogroup which is found in jatts too. Historically, bani shayba have been part of the quraysh tribe.
This is huge because the hashemite family of jordan who also belong to the banu hashim clan of quraysh tribe have been tested and their haplogroup is J1 which is consistent with the arabian dna profile.
A lot of so called syeds of south asia are turning out to be R1 which is an Indo-European haplogroup and found in south and west asia. Now, they are trying to float the idea that R1 is the actual quraysh haplogroup which is actually bullsh*t.

The first few waves of Aryans who migrated some 5000 years ago from Germany and it’s adjoining areas settled mainly in the Indus Valley Region. Subsequent waves of Aryans occupied western part of UP, Rajasthan and Gujarat. Therefore the ancestors of the present day population of Indus Valley region are from Indus Valley itself who occupied and settled in the valley.

The ancestors of the people of this region are from this region itself who settled here some 5000 years ago. For your information the words Har Inder and Singh are very ethnic to this region, not the other way around. @HarjinderSingh-ww4cy Nonsense. It is clearly the Saraswati basin, not the Indus. All the biggest cities, such as Rakhigarhi are in it. That is what they radiated from. Ganges became prominent because the Ganges system is the second highest flow in the world after the Amazon. Ganges system is 43000 m3/s while the whole Indus system is much tinier at only 5500 m3/s. This is also why there are no real forests or wildlife in the Northwestern subcontinent. There are no tigers, elephants, rhinos, lions, gibbon ape, gaur bison (way bigger than American bison), etc in Pakistan.
I am Pakistani and have had my DNA test, and I am 5% Arab, 3% Persian, 10% Central Asian/Afghani, 1% Levantine, 1% Anatolian, and less than 1% North African. The rest I am like other people in Northern India and Pakistan. Family history says that our ancestors came from Central Asia, so that makes sense.
