Steampunk Industrial Bookcase made of Pallet Wood, Scrap Copper, Brass, and Up-Cycled Junk.

- A steampunk-inspired bookcase made from scrap copper, brass pallets and junk. I wanted a bookcase with a Victorian industrial engineering look to keep loads of different things on, not just books. Made from pine and oak pallet wood, other scrap wood, copper from a hot water cylinder, and scrap brass.

Who else can’t sleep and stays up watching this? That is some black belt level craftsmanship.
My great grandfather told me once that the greatest show on earth is a working man who knows his craft. You are truly an artist sir.
Thanks very much, Bill :)

🙎🏻♀️ Your grandfather was a wise man…and teacher, Grasshopper. Watching artisans and craftsmen work, brings me so much joy. The passion they have for their craft is refreshing….especially with everything today being unappealing and disposable.
That is truly a great saying I need to remember that. He is amazing I’d like to see him do the planning stage
Genau so sehr weißer Uropa 🌹
I have lost count of how many times I have watch the whole play list of projects.
I myself am at, at least 3 times for almost everyone. His work is pure craftsmanship and artistry combined. But he takes the most everyday stuff that normally goes to a trash dump or scrap heap and makes AMAZING DETAILED MASTERPIECES out of it! I started watching because I was looking for projects for pallet wood, I stayed because his work is EPIC!! He definitely chose the correct name for his channel!!
nice to know your sawdust doesn't go to waste and the chickens repay you in eggs..chuckle..
"oh honey...can you build me a bookshelf for the corner over there please..??" "no problems love"...beautiful..
This is not a carpenter's work. It's an artist's work!
Thank you :)
Totally agree!
2 dollars of wood. 65 thousand dollar wood shop. Ridiculous.
TRANZCO he can buy all those tools because he doesn’t spend money on wood.
@@vagabondbazaar1080 exactly! a good markup is everything in business.
Reporter: How do you know when a piece is finished?
Epic UpCycling: When I run out of things to add or places to put them.
Beautiful.
1. I love Steampunk.
2. This is beyond awesome.
3. The level of detail is exquisite.
4. Did I mention that I love Steampunk.
Legitimately obsessed with how perfect your seams are.
I THOUGHT HE IS MAKING A BOOKCAE AT THE BEGINNING BUT NOPE!! HE MADE AN ART PIECE!!!! HUGE RESPECT FROM MELBOURNE!!!
Thanks very much, Adam :)
Just when you thought he was done, he adds another mouth dropping, patience testing detail. Really beautiful project.
Thanks very much :)
Dude, watch the Narnia Wardrobe build. Gobsmacking.
@@crustycurmudgeon2182 Yeah... you mean the "You think this door has many details and took me a LOT of time to make? Well, here's another identical one!" part? :p
Whilst watching the video I was thinking what I'd comment... well, speechless!!!!
I accidentally stumbled upon this channel a week ago. I've been binge watching every evening.
Truly AMAZING!!!!!!
Thanks very much :)
@@EpicUpCycling your videos are inspirational - you deserve more recognition (views/likes/subscribers)
idk how many times ive watched this, but i still come back
Ladies and Gentlemen...I present, once again, the King of Pallets.
Thank you :)
I think he is a God of wood
Excellent work.
I cant believe that I cant ring the bell for notifications because you're not kid freindly. What a joke.
Long may he reign 👑
Love the chickens! ♥️
My father had a woodshop while I was growing up. And I loved spending time out there with him. I can almost smell the sawdust now. He doesn't do woodworking anymore and doesn't have any more of his tools but he was definitely an artist in his own right. My home is decorated with his works.
Thank you for the trip down memory lane!
Thanks Tricia :)
I can see this gentleman outfitting the interior of Captain Nemo's sub Nautilus.
Потрясающий талант от Бога, браво, браво, все самые высокопарные слова в ваш адрес,, дарите нам ещё прекрасные моменты,,
Ha! Finally found something I can do as well as you!
Care for chickens. I can care for chickens.
@TheGooglyminotaur :D
hahaha
I can do neither but I can sew a damn good seam!
LOL.
Having chickens myself I can say that is an accomplishment in it self.
I love to imagine that your home is furnished with all of your magical furniture, and how cool that must be.
Seriously, he does great work!
Cecilia Salazar Me too!!
Yesss! I do too!
Cecilia Salazar YES Me too!!
@Armando Sanchez it depends on the pallet that you use. A lot of these are only heat treated rather then chemical treated so they can be safely used for projects.
You can even find some hardwood in some :)
I could have cried watching you make this. I built couple of houses for my darling and some of the furniture too. Now she has passed I just know how much she would have loved me to make this for her. Alas I am not talented enough but man you made my evening watching this .. thankyou so much it is brilliant...
I am truly sorry for your loss. I'm glad you're still here. Build it anyway, knowing she would have put it "just here," in the house. Make a plaque. Keep on, there are to few old school craftsmen.
@@NiobiumThyme thankyou. Am finishing 2 camper trailers built from scratch, then I shall come back to you.🙏♥️
@@peternicholsonu6090 I have subscribed to your UA-cam, toss up some pictures (a series of pictures can be turned into a short,) when you're done. I look forward to seeing your work. 👍

Браво! Это шедевр! Какая красота! Не перестаю восхищаться твоим трудолюбием! Удачи!
Thanks Marina :)
This is truly a beautiful bookcase, made by an extraordinary craftsman. I would pay top money for something like this if/when I had enough to do so. I can only imagine how proud you must have felt when it was finished.
Thanks :)
I don't know if he is proud of himself. I am proud of him for his accomplishments and I don't even know him. Outstanding work.
Настоящий художник,золотые руки!!!!
I'm a huge fan of your channel. It is such a pleasure watching such a masterful craftsman turn what most of us consider "trash" into such beautiful pieces. Thank you so much for sharing your genius with the rest of us. I look forward to every video you produce.
Thanks very much.

Мастер, у меня нет слов... Приличных нет. Сижу и восхищённо матерюсь!
The furniture you make are worthy of being in a palace! Totally amazing. Your attention to detail, patients and work is immaculate, perfection at it's best! Love it
Thanks very much :)
BULLSHIT.
Here here
Absolutely stunning
Some years back I nicked my thumb on a table saw blade.
Praise God no big loss, just 7 stitches down the middle of my pad.
Seeing you do so much work near that spinning saw blade makes my sphincter tighten up harder than a diamond.
Not trying to be a safety Karen, but please be careful my friend, you have crazy skills.
The entrakit love & detail he gives 2 his work is priceless....
I don't know about "steampunk" and "industrial" I thought that was absolutely beautiful. Not only the skill but the vision to make something like that is off the scale. You clearly put a lot of work into that piece but it was more than worth it. Fabulous!
Thanks :)
God please grant me his patience. It's not just the beauty of his pieces but the peace in watching him work. Priceless!
Thanks Stephen :)
Ladies and gentlemen,... a TRUE Master Craftsman!
Thanks Lesley :)
This one slipped through the net I thought I had watched them all. Absolutely fantastic sir thanks. Tom.
Thanks Tom. This one was my favourite build :)
Великолепная работа! Спасибо за отличное видео, без идиотской музыки и лишней болтовни!
!!! Dude!!! I never leave comments, and I'm sorry for the implied profanity, but... you're a MF-ing boss!! Well done!! Legend!!
Thanks very much :)
You must have the patience of a saint to do all the small milling as well as the rest. On that alone my hats off to you.
I'm not really into steampunk but that cupboard/unit would find a lovely place in my home. You are so talented.
What an absolute masterpiece. This thing could easily sell for $10k.
Not even close, nor would it sell for even 1/2 that.

This is awesome! You're the king of details. These small, fine ornaments combined with copper are extremely attractive. The brass corner supports are absolutely ingenious. As always - I take my hat off! Perfect work!
Thanks very much, Stephan. The brass pieces were very tedious, but I enjoyed doing them :)
Each time I watch a video of you making some creation out of recycled materials, I'm amazed, your ideas ,wow
Every time you just make me go " WOW " !
I had several "oh my god" moments during this unspeakable epicness!
With your skills and expertise in not only wood but metal crafting, is truly a joy to watch!
You show all the techniques needed to produce quality products! Where those are most valuable to a true Craftsman, in creating Works of Art!
Thank you Sir!
Thanks Charlotte :)
This will not look strange in a Moorish city palace in like Seville or Granada. I love it! ❤
@7:20 It's like a tack weld, but with a nail!
BRILLIANT!
Whenever there's a close up shot of drilling metal I feel the need to squint lest I get metal shavings in my eyes XD
Love the way you use different textures, like the copper with rivets, in such a way to add something different but also tie the piece together
Thanks Megan :)
Sometimes I find myself trying to blow the sawdust off the cuts

You put that backs on and I thought, "That's a very very nice piece, but......" and then..."Oh my!!!" and "Woven copper!!!" then like someone else wrote, you went into the realm of "Art".... this is the best craftsmanship I've seen....
Thanks Michael :)
The name of the channel says it all, truly epic projects.
Thanks Peaches :)
That is an incredible build. I’m impressed with your attention to every detail. Just when I thought it was done, you surprised me with 100 more things to add. Great job.
Thanks very much, JL :)
Best part of planing palletwood is getting to see all that hidden grain. Bit of a treasure hunt to some degree. Tons of work but I also enjoy building stuff out of palletwood. Thanks for sharing.
Thanks. I agree, there are some amazing hidden gems in pallet wood if you look hard enough :)
Genius! It looks like an expensive piece of Tudor furniture. Pure craftsman!
Thanks :)
Now that really is something and a half!
I really love this bookcase. I’m not a carpenter but appreciate all the time and effort put into this beautiful piece.
Браво терпеливому мастеру!!!Великолепная работа.
Thank you :)
You have such a unique, beautiful style... Please PLEASE keep making furniture. You have such a gift!!!
Thanks very much :)
I've made armoires, and several bookcases with the care and quality
that furniture sellers like Restoration Hardware can't match.
What he has created here you DO NOT sell unless there is a number with at least 4 zeros behind it.
Bravo on the work.
Thanks very much :)
You can't have any idea how amazingly talented you are.Hat's off to you sir.

Ably illustrating why a beautiful piece of furniture like this will - nay SHOULD - never be cheap.
Your pieces truly make me smile.
All I can say is BRAVO!
Absolutely well done!

The bed, the wardrobe and now the bookcase.. Truly no words can describe these masterpieces!!

Thanks for not putting music to your videos. The work sings for itself 👌🏽
I am dumbstruck with the precision of your craftsmanship ! The level of detail is mesmerizing !
Thanks Jose :)
Oh Wow! I'm in awe, that is truly gorgeous
Thanks Samantha :)
Wow, no one would ever guess that your beautiful pieces are made from upcycled pallet wood unless you told them, they saw your videos, or they looked really really close. Absolutely beautiful piece. Worthy of any gallery anywhere. And the addition of the old books and decor just brought it up a while nother level. Furniture is meant to be used. And when used for its purpose, is elevated. Absolutely awesome job. Love the artistic way you filmed the implication of the tedious parts of repetition as well. So glad I SUB'd. I would be so upset if I had missed this build and found out later that I had. Your artistry is a blessing to behold.
Thanks very much, Thomas :)
WOW!! Just WOW!!!! Artistry at it's finest.
My God !!!... You're TOO FREAKFUL!!!... And your patience IS INFINITE!!!... Your work is amazing!!!... Congratulations man!!! Congratulations !!!

The Arts and Crafts Movement must be looking down from heaven with big smiles on their faces.. What a superb job.. Thank you so much for sharing .
Thanks very much. I'm a big Arts and Crafts Movement fan :)
You, sir, are an absolutely amazing artist and craftsman. The imagination to create such beautiful pieces and the skills to execute such a high level of excellence using the most humble of ingredients is truly breathtaking. Much respect for you and your work. Having watched a number of your videos, I am awestruck even more than the last. And the humor is spot on. I thought you were going to lose it on those small rounds for the side appointments. That was a lot of sanding... Keep up the great work!

Thanks Patrick. Those small bits drove me a bit crazy :)
Well said. We could only wish for half the imagination and skill. He is truly in a different realm of creativity.
As Wei Wu mentioned in a comment below, this is artist level.
Bravo!
Thanks Norm :)
Just as lovely as it could be. Just as lovely as it could be.
Thanks Stephen :)
The scale of your detail work is always impressive.... it was nice to see your human side when sanding those little pieces
Thanks very much, Joe :)

Thanks Lenny :)
With the right tools you can build anything...but the most important tool of all is a good creative imagination. Thanks!
Thanks Fernando :)
So many things I like about this piece, but the notch left in the bottom to account for your baseboard is my favourite detail.
Cheers!
Just incredible. I am in awe not only of the craftsmanship and the obvious skill pouring out of you but also your patience. I appreciate the little peek you give us into your real life; that you also get tired of sanding things and what you do with your sawdust but mostly I appreciate the coverage of the process, it's inspiring to see what can be done with creativity and passion. We all know that pallets are wood and we can build things with them but seldom do we get to see what beauty can really come of the furniture itself. It's all in the details and sir, you are unparalleled in details. Your home is a lucky one to be endowed with such treasure. Thank you for sharing this with us.
Thanks very much, Hayley :)
Dear FRIEND, it is the second video I see of you, this afternoon, and it is barely 5:30 p.m. I am ecstatic, amazed and perplexed !!!
I am amazed at how RECYCLING PALLETS, you do those WONDERS !!!
