Haha! Brilliant! Great job. Was anybody else expecting him to pump up the inner tubes to give the wood rings a bit more squeeze???
Absolutely. And I was rather hoping for a pint at the end, as well. 🍻😉
I was... But most likely he needed to glue shut about a gazillion pin holes...
Epic Up Cycling is like zen meditation for woodworkers (anyone really)!
I'm sorry, I must have zoned out there for a minute. We're you saying something
@@richardcranium5048 He was saying you are a slave for wearing a muzzle. And actually believeing strangers you don't know and known for being corrupt, lying and narcissistic and you still are going to take the poison too. Keep in your Zone zombie.
@@enlightenednews5265 I guess my humor doesn't come through to all. My comment was a result of the Zen meditation like state I had slipped into as a result of the calming effects of the video, not, of course that I need calming, because you see, I'm as cool as the underside of the pillow. You may be interested in knowing that with the exception of a Lone Ranger mask that my wife likes, I've never even one time put a mask on. Of course only she has seen me in the one. As for you my humorless friend, I would recommend that you learn to read, between the line, and would offer this sage piece of advice...
Lighten Up Francis.... if curious, not that I suppose you to be. That's a down play of my appeal, not an intended slight to you. Exactly where I can stand on the issues today can be seen on Odysee (a free speech platform)
A search from within Odysee for @RichardCranium will go there probably we agree more than not. I'm maybe a little militant for some, but I believe people will come around to my way of thinking soon enough
@@enlightenednews5265 sorry, but I just read that again, and had a chuckle... enlightened news, I honestly didn't know that was your name when I said Lighten Up Francis, which is of course a line from Full Metal Jacket, it's a funny old world
I would love to listen in on conversations in your house. Ideas must constantly pop into your creative head every time you enjoy time outside of that beautiful shop.
This piece is amazing... and there are so many different skills needed to make it the way that you did.
This channel makes me feel GOOD. It’s that simple. What a gift you have, and what a joy it is that you are sharing it with us. Thank you.
Hehehe! Jason's videos couldn't possibly be more entertaining, and cheating the wrong way was really the perfect ending 😂
Cheat? I don't know what you mean😉
@@EpicUpCycling Of course not 😇
To quote George Carlin... "Darts could be a sport because you MIGHT put somebody's eye out. But it will never be a sport, because the whole object is to reach zero which goes against all sports logic".
Wow, Jason you had me wondering right to the end, what IS that for? Brilliant, fantastic idea and beautifully executed.👏👏👏👏👏🤪🙋♀️🇬🇧
Thank you, Maud 🙏
being a dart player be cool for the shop
I like everything about your videos. The lack of unnecessary audio distraction, the thought which goes into your design, the relatively simple range of tools paired with great skill, the imagination going into your designs, the level of attention to detail - I could go on for a while. Thank you for taking the time to film.
Thanks very much, Tom :)
I've been working with steel for 43 years and you taught me something today. Cheers, mate.🧙♂
I love the almost inaudible click of perfectly fitting pieces of wood. Your videos are great.
Thanks very much :)
Ground down brand new bolts!!!! What????
Great project.
This proves a formula that I have hypothesized....
One heap of firewood and scrap + imagination + boundless patience and skill = 30 minutes of high quality entertainment. Best enjoyed with a comfy sofa, cup of coffee and a few fig roll biscuits.
Outstanding work, as usual👍
Mmmm. Fig rolls!
Thanks David :)
Every Viking would have been proud to enter the dart battle with such a magnificent shield. Amazing project! I love it 👍🔥
Thanks Doc :)
They would axe it
@@xw6968 That's funny, but your probably right.
This is the only channel that I have notifications enabled.
Using tire tubes as straps was genius!
Thanks :)
I know, I was waiting to see if he put air in to tighten them up, or just used them as giant rubber bands. We got our answer!
Your skill, your patience, your calmness and your attention to detail is unrivaled on YT. To make things from scrap be better than fine furniture from walnut is remarkable.
Love ❤️ your sense of humour at the end !!!!
Imagine a medieval iron arrow broadhead stuck into each door, at odd angles, with the shaft broken off a few inches out!!! Greatest doorhandles ever!
That would work :)
I like the battle scars. Good job.
Thanks :)
Your dartboard made me laugh. Rather than NODOR it is now a TWODOOR. Great video as always, very creative. Thanks for sharing.
Thanks very much, Fred :)
Your projects are amazing, always. But I also appreciate the production quality of your videos. Excellent lighting, wonderful sound capture, and gifted editing, all these make your programs first-rate viewing experiences. Thanks so much!
Thanks very much, Guy :)
Multi purpose furniture, so delightful. My boyfriend and I play the 'what will he make this time' game while we eat, and we went "a wooden bicycle?" "one wheel device?" "tricycle there are three of them." "no he puts them together see." "what's this thing, a lid?" "no a shield!" "then what's the previous basket for, a well?" "why is the shield in 2 pieces?" and at the end we just "Ooooh!!... that's gosh darn brilliant!" it is highly entertaining, thank you.
Thanks Sofie :)
Ummmm, the project is in the title??? But okay... keep guessing, it can be fun, i suppose😉
@@thomasarussellsr Yah we don't read the title that would spoil the game.
The Epic in your chanels name is not stolen. Your epic in all your projects. Even making your hinges yourself. Genius!
Jason uses bicycle tire innertubes to hold wood blocks in a circle.
"Epic Genius" level achieved!
Thanks Neil :)
My man made his own distressed hinges…… now that’s patience AND talent!!! Outstanding!!! 🤘
Thanks :)
I’m always blown away by your creativity, ingenuity and what must be some very meticulous planning. A true artist indeed.
Thanks very much :)
@@EpicUpCyclingThank you for sharing your wonderful creative work!
Awesome. A little deeper and it would be a fantastic drinks cabinet.
You just gave me an idea :)
@@EpicUpCycling Me too haha. Thanks.
Epic Up Cycling is almost an under statement here! This came out amazing!
Thanks David :)
That triple triple twenty was a masterful shot. 😂👍🏻
I put in a lot of practice 😉
That is NOT woodworking ... that It's a masterpiece ...really really a cool piece of art ... Damn it's nice 👍👍
(you just give me so many ideas, tips and tricks ... great work)
Many thanks for showing and please keep up the good work ... 😁
Thanks very much, Eldir 🙂
Fantastic! I really like your video. I enjoyed watching it until the end. subscribe Thank you for sharing my friend😄👍💕
Best ever dart board I have seen ❤
This one hits the bullseye with me! His attention to detail is second to none. Love how he peens all the metal same. So authentic!
Rarely have I seen an item better suited to a certain guy’s dream man cave! Nice.
Thanks Theresa :)
You are the Michael Angelo of woodworking !!! I’m so impressed with your genius and talent. God bless.
Thanks :)
I appreciate your smart table set-ups. Specifically, the router table with the hinged lid allowing for easy access to router, bits, dust collection connection, & dedicated tools, as well as the glue up table with it's moveable edge. I've recently moved into a smaller shop, and need to incorporate space-saving techniques like this. Thank you very much for sharing!
I appreciate the irony of filling the nail holes around the sides on a dartboard cabinet, if your friends play darts anything like my friends, there will be plenty more holes before long...
Love the battle scars on the "shield".
It did feel like a bit of a waste of time when I was doing it ☺
what an idea !!! awesome mastercrafter !
I guess you don't need hardware stores now either. I'm looking forward to seeing you build your own trees.
Naked dartboards will look so unfinished after this. The shield looks so beautiful on the wall, really eye catching. Another job well sorted. 👏👏🥰
Thanks Sylvia :)
Disappointed that I had to watch a full 30 minutes before getting some of your subtle humour! Brilliant video as always. keep up the beautiful projects. Thanks!
Thanks, glad you enjoyed it :)
This guy is amazing.. He takes woodworking to another lever with the pallets. I mean its not just pallets. Its saving the use nails, well it's everything. Love watching him.
A wonderful idea to hide a dartboard behind a Viking shield that looks incredibly beautiful. I really enjoy watching your videos. ❤
Thanks very much :)
Fully expected him to inflate the bicycle inner tube when i first saw him put it on :D As always very cool stuff, pallet wood getting a lovely afterlife!
Thanks :)
That is just fantastic. Love your all your work but this is possibly my favourite piece.
Thanks very much :)
you my friend are an engineering genius..........a complete madman!, but a genius none the less...........
Thanks very much, Vincent :)
Beautiful and entertaining piece.
You have totally wowed me senses! This is an exceptional piece of artwork. From the framing to the hand hammered metal features and hinges. All I can say is SKOL ‼️
Thanks very much, Jessi :)
Viking spelling is "SKÅL"... 😉
You sir, have skills! Just subbed.
Thanks 👍
You have the patience of Job! Love to watch you work
Thanks :)
Another terrific job, especially the ‘iron works ‘.
Thanks Mike :)
Really impressive. I love upcycling but I only work with paper and cardboard myself. Glad that "Midwest Magic Cleaning" sent me to your channel. Greetings from Germany, Andrea
My Swedish heart is all a flutter! Great project. So enjoy you making your own hardware.
Thanks Eric :)
Just love that 'Wodin' work.
You put a door on a NODOR. Excellent work brotha.
As always beautiful results and use and material. At first I thought you were going to inflate (Roads bike?) inner tube to give more clamping pressure. Ok ill get back to the Armchair now.
Love the battle scars you added to the Vikings shield cabinet.its very very beautiful ❤
Thanks very much :)
the best darts 180 Ive seen thrown ha ha ha you sir are an absolute creative inspirational human being ..faith restored in these troubled times ..thank you brother greets from Australia
Thanks very much ☺
Your dedication to reduce/reuse/recycle is so inspiring. Every time I watch you make hinges I can't help but wonder if I would make the same choice or use some crappy-looking modern hinge because I'm lazy. Also, the rivets look great. Nobody would ever know they were ground-down bolts!
Thanks very much :)
Superb! Fans of Mr Magic are fast overdosing on sheer awe.
WOW! Can’t wait to see what you come up with next. 👍
More coming soon :)
Wow! Just Wow! When you pulled out that first bicycle inner tube, I knew things were about to get interesting. Great work from start to finish. Thank you for sharing!
Thanks very much :)
THATS PERFECT !! LOVE YOUR WORK !! Robbie U K
Thanks very much, Robbie :)
You are not only a good woodworker but also an exceptional darter....180 !!!!
I s'pose you know you are a Genius? This is a Work of art.
Thanks Rob ☺
I think I can safely say on behalf of my Norwegian ancestors that this is an exact replica of the dart boards they used in the days of yore. I know for a fact that there was nothing they enjoyed more than a good game of darts before the next plundering expedition. Good job, man. 👏🏼🎯
Thanks very much :)
Fantastic 👍 You are a skilled craftsman 😊 People come to work on Monday morning saying" I am sure there was a pallet under that box outside when I left on Friday"
Thanks Ray :)
Fantastic as usual, you are a pleasure to watch, I wish I had half of the skill you show. I thought you were going to inflate the bicycle tires to give a bit more pressure. Thank you!
I thought the same thing.
Thanks Neil. You would think inflating them would help but the tubes expand when you inflate them and get looser :)
@@EpicUpCycling Thank you now I think of it (and after your answer) of course they would expand out wards, duh!
Excellent, le suspense a duré jusqu'au bout ..... de la fléchette. Bravo, encore une très belle réalisation.
Thanks :)
fantastic board cover. would look great in any man cave. was sure you were going to inflate the tubes, I thought that's a fantastic clamp hack lol hinges were perfect for the design 10/10
The genius of wood, congratulations mr? You are truly a woodworking wizard 🎩🎩👍.
Thanks Luigi :)
Wow that is pure class👍🏻👍🏻
I agree with Tom S. You are an extremely talented man with skills beyond imagination. I love your videos.
Thanks Sue :)
Keep the amazing work! I'm learning so much
It was amazing!! All that was needed was beer and appetizers.
Not only an epic build that turned out great but you have real darts too. Well done!
Thanks :)
I like that you use scrap wood pieces. I particularly like that you don't run the wood thru a planer or joiner multiple times like I see in so many other videos. It's discouraging for those of us who don't own those luxury tools. 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
What an amazing skill you are great
Thanks :)
You're not just a woodworker, you're an artist! Loved the metal creations and hammered finish. Stunning.
Thanks Jessi :)
And I play darts & pool.
You're the only person I watch regularly that makes their own hinges. Amazed every time I watch you do that. :)
Another beauty, sir!
Thanks Scott. They are time consuming, but I always enjoy making them :)
Love it wish I could find nice straight reclaimed wood like that stuff. Great job.
This is the best channel on UA-cam
Thanks :)
Bloody great vid and no unnecessary waffle. Thank you
Thanks :)
I just knew that he wouldn't make boring hinge. Don't play darts but his technique is inspiring. I now want to make furniture.
Birdy
I'm so glad that your Standards never drop.🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼
The viking in me approves! ❤
Waving "Hi!" from Bodø, Norway.
Beautiful as always!
Thanks :)
looks like someone needs a Dewalt drill for Father's day
Amazing! Love from Gothenburg, Sweden! Oden approved your work. ;)
Thanks Quark :)
man oh man, that is a god damn work of bloody art.
Thanks :)
Your creativity knows no bounds. Amazing.
Thanks :)
Another work of art 👏👏👏
Outstanding sir! Another job that I am super envious of 😂
Thanks Samantha :)
Thank you so much for sharing this video. I am down to staining and grinding bolts to attach the metal. I made it for my husband, but I love the way it looks on the wall with old double sided axes on each side. I learned a few new skills from you that I will probably be doing for the rest of my life. No more driving to the nearest town to pick out a hinge that would work when I can make a custom hinge exactly like I want right here a home. Thanks again, your share has truly been life changing.
That's wonderful, the axes sound like a great addition :)
I wish that stage by stage I could give you other thumbs up. Amazing.
I was hoping it was a Nordor. What a great idea though. You made it look easy and the finished product looks fantastic.
It is a real pleasure to watch you work. Thank you.
Thanks :)
Brilliant idea, brilliant craftsmanship, enjoyed watching this 10/10
Thanks Colin :)
Ah, the delight of finding a new episode of my favorite program! ♥️
Wow 180 on your first shot . Excellent 😄
