This is pure nightmare fuel. While I'm excited for the future of EV's they're currently way too expensive and too frustrating to charge away from home.
All the reasons why EV’s don’t make sense. Unless you can always power them at your house, they are just a pain in the ass. I have a plug-in hybrid, nice to know I can stop for fuel, but sometimes it’s annoying if I forget to charge overnight. I like the power, but that’s about it. I can’t wait till we have a hydrogen powered vehicle, I would buy that in a heartbeat, and they could easily re-purpose the entire network of gas stations across the country. By the way, did anyone notice the cost of charging. Another thing they forget to mention. Also cost of insurance and repair from an accident is much higher. Just wait till the government adds tax on your electricity bill to make up for gas tax losses.
Where’s all this “extra” electricity coming from? US power grid is barely holding on. Add some AI plus all the data centers and grid is barely holding on. Now let’s get rid of internal combustion and put even one million cars to electric. Currently 60 percent of electricity is based on fossil fuels. Just make more electricity how exactly?
To all the people saying “nIgHtMaRE,” this is charging a NON TESLA. The Tesla supercharger system is super reliable, unlike these electrify America or other off brand chargers which are notorious for being always down. Of course these guys on the video know this but this is how they’re trying to generate comments and gain views through the algorithm.
@@ALMX5DP either way fast charging over 80% is super inefficient and most networks should double the cost over 80 to manage traffic. Charging to 95% on a dc charger is peak noob.
VW should be held accountable for these broken chargers. The courts should call them out of compliance with the settlement.
It's like EA isn't even trying
I'll stick to the gasoline. I'll pay the price, plus I want some sound from the exhaust No time for sitting around waiting charging.
Let me fix that for you: Charging a non-Tesla EV on a Roadtrip is Less Than Ideal
Hybrid all the way, non of this shenanigans
And I think a person is extremely vulnerable as they sit there waiting for their car to charge. Talk about being an 'easy target'.

Ones stuck in the Rockies without gas, forget about electric.
Correction, non tesla ev
Answer: Toyota Echo
no such thing as a 150kwh charger

Puts Tesla above every other copycat clown out there
Because you didn't buy a Tesla
None of this will be relevant in 5-6 months as Tesla opens up the charging network.
There are already waits/lines at busier Telsa superchargers. It's only going to get worse when every car in the country can charge at those places.
😂😂😂😂
They were there first. Good on them.
Bro, you are at 95% of course the charger will derate to level 2 rates.. this seems disingenuous as hell.
He was referring to the Polestar owner that they were waiting on..
He's criticizing the Polestar owner for hogging a 150kw charger while it's charging at level 2 rates you baboon.

@@AWDRIFTOso we agree there is nothing disingenuous here?
@@ALMX5DP I think clarifying why it is charging a 6kw is important otherwise it makes people think that the charger is bad. So yes still disingenuous.
Buy a real car. Simple.
Hey there. Jesus loves you! Through Him is the only way to heaven! May God bless you. 😊
Enjoy that electric car..
Ho hum 🥱
Seems like a typical charging experience.
😉
