Just love that beat. One of the great Skynyrd songs that tends to be underrated but loved by many. Need to check out "Coming Home" which does not get near the play that it should.
I was at both Atlanta International Pop Festivals 69 & 70 - I beleive the 1970 one was introducing the Allman Brothers Eat A Peach album where they brought in a huge load of Georgia Peaches and tossed em out to the starving crowd - of which I was one - so - EAT A PEACH
@@SquirminHermanthe1eyedGerman Born and raised right down the road. From James Brown, Otis Reading all the way to the ABB, Stillwater and Doc Holliday, we were SOOO spoiled for choice. Always a show to see and a good time to be had by all. Eat a Peach is one of my all-time most beloved albums. I miss those guys so much. Skynyrd knew what they were singing about. 😁🍑🤘🏼
@@mariejustme Right on, I am just down the street from Robins AFB & yea I miss all those guys & going to all those great concerts back in the day! Cant forget some of my other favorites from Doraville Atlanta Rhythm Section, from ATL Drivin n Cryin, Black Crows from Marietta, Blackberry Smoke from ATL & Jackyl from Kennesaw! Of course Georgia Satellites from Buckhead had a couple of songs! So many other good artists in the mix too! GO DAWGS WOOF ✌💖☮
It's ok Asia, you may not be from Georgia, but you're the cutest peach out there hun. Love the reactions guys. Keep up the incredible work you guy's are doing.
Thank you for your Reaction to "Georgia Peaches" Asia and BJ. Billy Powell the piano player in 1970 was a Roadie for Lynyrd Skynyrd until 1972. The Band was playing at a prom and was taking a break. That when Billy sat down at a piano and started playing a song. The Band heard him playing and went to find out who was playing. When they saw who was playing so well they offered him a position as Keyboardist with the Band. You should listen to an old country song written by Jimmie Rodgers in 1920's that Lynyrd Skynyrd turned into a Hard Rock song. The song was titled "The Blue Yodeler" but it was called "T for Texas" by most people who heard it. I heard the original version from both of my Grandparents in 1967. My grandparents were between the ages of 22 to 11 when Jimmie Rodgers song was Released in 1928. So when Lynyrd Skynyrd did the song it really stuck with me since by that time 2 of my grandparents had already died. This song always bring back memories of them. Thank you again. RIP Billy Powell (June 3, 1952 to January 28, 2009).
This is such a jamming song! I love and Lynyrd Skynyrd sings because they sing against drugs like the song needle on a spoon Also violence is one of the things they sang against Saturday night special.
I'm a Georgia Peach. I've traveled North, West, and Central USA, and I must say Lynyrd Skynyrd knew what they were singing about. There are a lot of beautiful women in Georgia and they rank up there with the California girls. Even my husband will agree with Lynyrd Skynyrd on this one. Women from the South know how to be feminine and look good!
Great reaction and haven't heard this in a long time. BJ I love peaches also and they don't have to be just Georgia peaches either 😁😁. You guys are great. 5 more chemo treatments to go. I'm counting them down. Love you guys ❤️
You two made me think of this song by Iris DeMent and John Prine. In Spite of Ourselves She don't like her eggs all runny She thinks crossin' her legs is funny She looks down her nose at money She gets it on like the Easter Bunny She's my baby I'm her honey I'm never gonna let her go He ain't got laid in a month of Sundays I caught him once and he was sniffin' my undies He ain't too sharp but he gets things done Drinks his beer like it's oxygen He's my baby And I'm his honey Never gonna let him go In spite of ourselves We'll end up a'sittin' on a rainbow Against all odds Honey, we're the big door prize We're gonna spite our noses Right off of our faces There won't be nothin' but big old hearts Dancin' in our eyes. She thinks all my jokes are corny Convict movies make her horny She likes ketchup on her scrambled eggs Swears like a sailor when shaves her legs She takes a lickin' And keeps on tickin' I'm never gonna let her go. He's got more balls than a big brass monkey He's a wacked out werido and a lovebug junkie Sly as a fox and crazy as a loon Payday comes and he's howlin' at the moon He's my baby I don't mean maybe Never gonna let him go In spite of ourselves We'll end up a'sittin' on a rainbow Against all odds Honey, we're the big door prize We're gonna spite our noses Right off of our faces There won't be nothin' but big old hearts Dancin' in our eyes. There won't be nothin' but big old hearts Dancin' in our eyes.
This one gets down and dirty, Southern style... Lynyrd Skynyrd was pretty open about this. Drugs, prostitution, whiskey and wine. But they put it all in a very real context, no judgment. This is what it is in a Georgia honky tonk. (If such a thing still exists 50 years later... are there still honky tonks out there?) It's what goes down. And in this case, very melodically.
If memory serves me this didn't make an album cut. This was released after the plane crash with a bunch of songs that were demos and didn't make album songs.n
Asia getting tore up,... everything cool though 😅 And Skynyrd is my absolute favorite band ever ! Nothing to debate about that and this is the first reaction I've ran across of this song . Love it .
This is to funny,it was another Skynyrd song,Call me the breeze,BJ had to dig his foot out of his mouth then too,and Ronnie was singing about Georgia peaches make me feel right at home

That one was right here in Bryon Georgia which is not far from the Allman Brothers home The Big House in Macon, the home of southern rock

Give Me Three Steps was based on a true story, it actually happened.

You two made me think of this song by Iris DeMent and John Prine.
In Spite of Ourselves
She don't like her eggs all runny
She thinks crossin' her legs is funny
She looks down her nose at money
She gets it on like the Easter Bunny
She's my baby I'm her honey
I'm never gonna let her go
He ain't got laid in a month of Sundays
I caught him once and he was sniffin' my undies
He ain't too sharp but he gets things done
Drinks his beer like it's oxygen
He's my baby
And I'm his honey
Never gonna let him go
In spite of ourselves
We'll end up a'sittin' on a rainbow
Against all odds
Honey, we're the big door prize
We're gonna spite our noses
Right off of our faces
There won't be nothin' but big old hearts
Dancin' in our eyes.
She thinks all my jokes are corny
Convict movies make her horny
She likes ketchup on her scrambled eggs
Swears like a sailor when shaves her legs
She takes a lickin'
And keeps on tickin'
I'm never gonna let her go.
He's got more balls than a big brass monkey
He's a wacked out werido and a lovebug junkie
Sly as a fox and crazy as a loon
Payday comes and he's howlin' at the moon
He's my baby I don't mean maybe
Never gonna let him go
In spite of ourselves
We'll end up a'sittin' on a rainbow
Against all odds
Honey, we're the big door prize
We're gonna spite our noses
Right off of our faces
There won't be nothin' but big old hearts
Dancin' in our eyes.
There won't be nothin' but big old hearts
Dancin' in our eyes.

It's not a B side, it's on the album LEGEND.
Asia and BJ the reason the views are so high on this song is because Joe listens to it all the time. 😂😂😂😂
My favorite LS song
It's the Allman Brothers got the album 'Eat a peach'. Duane Allman said he'd "Eat a Peach for Peace, two legged kind."
