This year was a great disappointment for me, I lost my 2 grandmothers, several of my friends cut off contact with me, I was tormented by past traumas all the time, when I heard this song I felt, I felt happy, I felt motivated, I felt strong and energy, when I read the translation of the song, I not only recovered certain feelings that were inside me, I recovered my faith in myself, in myself as a person, I got up again, this year I want to thank many people, all those people gang members, P.O.D. God I remember being so jealous my little sister had this album. We heard youth of the nation at like 11 or 12 and fell immediately in love. Been periodically listening to p.o.d since. I'm not christian, but I really enjoy this band and the fact that overall, they write inspirational and positive lyrics. And sonny's got a pretty good voice! Not super crazy about the rapping, but it's not necesarilly bad. This album was definitely in heavy rotation in my walkman when I was in middle school, and it brings back some good memories. :) Glad they're still around making music.
I listened to this album so much in my Honda civic when I finally got freedom as a young man. This brings back so many good memories. It's 8.1.2022 today
I remember when this album first came out. Sold out EVERYWHERE. I also remember witnessing firsthand people who bought this album and they ended up getting saved, giving their life to the Lord. POD been saving souls for a long time and should never forget the lord’s work they’ve done and continue to do.
I used to jam this album a bunch as a kid and still listen to their music to this day. Only today, this song makes me think of my Grandmothers that died over the course of the past year. I didn't get closure to either death, but I like to think they are watching and I hope I can make them proud. Thank you P.O.D for being there for me, without being there, when it counts. ❤

I'm in the video. They filmed this at the VA Beach Amphitheater during the 2002 Lunatic Luau. They were the headline band and played the song a good 8+ times filming from different angles. Good times
That's so awesome. I've seen them in concert 5 or 6 times now. They put on a good show. I'll never forget one year at Rockville the crowd was going crazy and Sonny told the spotlight operators to light the pit instead of him.. They did for a minute and then went back to lighting the band and he stopped the band, yelled at the lighting crew and refused to play until they turned all the crowd lights on and turned the stage lights down.. It was crazy the whole field broke out into 3 separate mosh pits... I've never seen anything like that before or since

Man P.O.D had a lot of good songs. I grew up listening to this cd as a teenager on my cd walkman. Now in 2022 streaming had taken over and now we listen to songs on youtube, spotify and Pandora. P.O.D will always be one of my favorite bands from the 2000s. When I found out that P.O.D were a Christian rock band I was more glad about it because I'm also a Christian.
As much as P.O.D. has had relative success, I still feel like they're underrated in the grand scheme of nu metal. Either way, I'm thankful for the jams and memories they've provided

Just saw these guys in concert on Wednesday night, 9/29/2021, performing the entire Satellite record. Last time I saw them was 1998. Still tremendous live and it reminded me how great a record this is and how much I miss this band and live music in general.

I listened to this album so much in my Honda civic when I finally got freedom as a young man. This brings back so many good memories. It's 8.1.2022 today
I remember when this album first came out. Sold out EVERYWHERE. I also remember witnessing firsthand people who bought this album and they ended up getting saved, giving their life to the Lord. POD been saving souls for a long time and should never forget the lord’s work they’ve done and continue to do.
I used to jam this album a bunch as a kid and still listen to their music to this day.
Only today, this song makes me think of my Grandmothers that died over the course of the past year. I didn't get closure to either death, but I like to think they are watching and I hope I can make them proud.
Thank you P.O.D for being there for me, without being there, when it counts. ❤

One of the greatest rock albums ever! My dad played this album a lot when it came out and I was only 8 at the time, but I’ve loved it since the second I heard it!
As someone who has lost more people growing up than I can count on my hands this song really resonates with me.
Not to get all sad and sappy. I just love it. . And if anything can come from that this song makes it all seem at peace. Even if only for a moment.

Great band with accessible slick songwriting. This 2001 effort really got them on the map and was their best album I think.

Not a Christian here, but I always liked this song for its catchy melodies, the powerful hook, and its positive message. I remember having this CD back in the day, was awesome, I remember really liking this song, Youth of the Nation, and especially The Messenjah. Hell yeah!
I'm in the video. They filmed this at the VA Beach Amphitheater during the 2002 Lunatic Luau. They were the headline band and played the song a good 8+ times filming from different angles. Good times
That's so awesome. I've seen them in concert 5 or 6 times now. They put on a good show. I'll never forget one year at Rockville the crowd was going crazy and Sonny told the spotlight operators to light the pit instead of him.. They did for a minute and then went back to lighting the band and he stopped the band, yelled at the lighting crew and refused to play until they turned all the crowd lights on and turned the stage lights down.. It was crazy the whole field broke out into 3 separate mosh pits... I've never seen anything like that before or since
I was at the show too. I tell people I'm in the video too, but really, what I mean is that I'm in the crowd and they filmed the crowd, therefore, I'm in the video, lol

Man P.O.D had a lot of good songs. I grew up listening to this cd as a teenager on my cd walkman. Now in 2022 streaming had taken over and now we listen to songs on youtube, spotify and Pandora. P.O.D will always be one of my favorite bands from the 2000s. When I found out that P.O.D were a Christian rock band I was more glad about it because I'm also a Christian.

Just saw these guys in concert on Wednesday night, 9/29/2021, performing the entire Satellite record. Last time I saw them was 1998. Still tremendous live and it reminded me how great a record this is and how much I miss this band and live music in general.
