Glad to see you guys posting more videos again. I missed your unique take on UA-cam!!!
i got a losi v100 4wd for outdoors and picking up an mst for the drift tracks nice video helped out alot
Great video very helpful for me trying to decide what to get. I subbed you guys are chill
Welcome to the 10tb Scale Squad!
nice video, very well explained
Actually great great video guys, Im new to 2wd drifting while easily power sliding my AWD rc cars. 2wd is tough and watching your video and comparing the behavior of my 2wd car to yours gave me some insights.
Thanks for the educational stuff. guess some of us who wants to explore this on our own can benefit from those videos.
great looking supra. I love it.
Totally! I try and make the videos I want to watch or I would’ve wanted to have when I got into drifting. I’m so glad I was able to help.
I’ve only ever drifted All wheel drive cars , which are a tone of fun, but at some point would like to try 2wd drifting. Finding the time to build one is the only thing holding me back. I like how the RDS is a ready to go 2WD that you can learn and then upgrade as you go! This was a great video guys. I very much enjoyed and got something out of this segment! BiG THANKS!👊🏼💯😎✌🏼
The MST RMX 2.0 is a wayyyyy better RTR 2WD chassis.
great video guys!!!
Thanks so much!
I have a 2 redcat lightning drift and use (traxxas 7372 tire) hard *rubber* tire, on my painted concrete basement . SICK you should try it buddy ! nice video
for some reason what im about to type applies ... rc drifting is a indoor sport...its just not the same once you have had that satisfaction of drifting from gaining skill. dope content keep hitting us with the goods'
Charl south African Really Apriciate video
i recently picked up a mini z awd to learn drifting with! i like it but i seriously need more practice 😅
I had a Sakura D5 MR at one point. I was not happy with the quality of the vehicle. My buddy Tuan has a D5 with a rear mount motor and it does drift like a dream, though he has decades of experience in RC and tuning. My current drifter is a Yokomo SD 1.0, and he and I are getting the kinks tuned out of it. I recently got the RDS off of him and plan on seeing how well we can tune it. I've bought the Yokomo servo and gyro, Hobbywing motor and Toro 160 Pro ESC. I should start having content of it in the next few weeks, hopefully.
Cool 😎 cars
Just picked up the redcat RDS 2wd drift car friday. Waiting on new controller and battery to come tomorrow. Then off to learn to drift..
Nice! Glad to hear it!
i found video about 4wd with countersteer and they say its have same character like rwd, is that true?
and the gear ratio is different for rear and front wheel
Any speaker mods to replicate engine sound?
Long Live Ken Block 🙏
Legends never die.
has anyone tried putting more slippery tires on the front of an awd rc car to see if it holds a drift longer? like putting tires with a little more traction on the back wheels so the back pushes the front of the car more
Hi sir, what body/shell is that on the RC 4wd?
Killerbody Evo 10.
4wd or 2wd is both drifting just different forms of it
Agreed.
What would you recommend for a first time drifter?
2WD? MST RMX 2.0 or 2.5
4WD? Redcat Thunder Drift.
I literally finished my first drift car last night. It's a Yokomo YD-2S. I've had the kit for going on 3 years and just now built it lol. I won a Parma Gangster Custom body (looks identical to the ZZ Top Cadzilla) still in the retail bag on eBay so that motivated me. I forsee sucking pretty bad at this. At least if my little 1/28 drift cars are any clue. So I guess I should say my first real drift car.
Nice! That’s a popular chassis and super capable. There are so many people running that chassis that can help you get it dialed.
Usukani NGE and a Yokomo YD-2 SX III.
Nice! Been looking at yokomos.
I got 2 mjx drifters 14201's the truck and lancia. The truck is still 4x4, and the lancia is 2x4. I pulled the dog bone end of the front axils, and going to see witch i prefer. 2, or 4x4. Im a noob so i fogured what the hey make one 2x4. Oh ya the 14201's come with a gyro.
K👀L AF✌️✌️
Thank you! I’m glad you liked it!
@@10thScaleGarage glad to see new content, I truly enjoy the camera angles you capture ✌️✌️
been wanting to do a drift car, last one i had was a A team van back in the 80's , wasnt a drift van but it drifted amazing . , cause the tires were junk. el cheapo from radio shack i think can't remember . winter is here may have to get into it
Yessssss. Last winter we resurrected two OLD Kyosho and Tamiya cars that had been sitting for YEARS! We got them going and immediately broke them. Hahah.
Donny and Marie ? I do like 10th scale , same as this channel.
I’m glad you’re part of the 10th Scale Squad!!!
#beefydoodles
Put it on a shirt!
Isn't it called power sliding when its 4wd?
Don’t bring logic into this.
100% rhino racing shark 🫡😂
Not having belts on rwd drift cars isn’t a sign of saving money that’s just the standard for drift and works better.
Anyone know we’re I can get brake disc and calipers for a sakura d5 mrs evo v2?
Amazon
I'm new to this but whys is awd cheating when rwd needs a gyro and barely needs steering input isn't that cheating? 🤔
Excellent question. RWD needs a prepped surface and a delicate touch. Even with all those driver aids, it can be difficult to drift them. There’s a pretty steep learning curve.
AWD drifting on the other hand can be done on multiple surfaces and it’s much easier to get the car sideways and maintain a drift. Suspension setup isn’t as crucial, nor is tire compound. Anyone can get a AWD chassis driving with just a little practice.
Thanks for the in-depth reply 🎉
It can be argued that 4wd drifting is more power sliding than drifting. I guess.. lol
I think power sliding is going into a corner, hammering it and then losing traction- as opposed to spinning the tires before the corner and stepping the car out to make the turn.
4wd isn’t drifting… it’s power sliding
These guys disagree. I do too. www.carthrottle.com/news/whats-difference-between-powersliding-vs-drifting-car
4wd drifting is cheating, all of blocks out at the edge of a cliff/road drifts would have been over the edge wrecks if 2wd
AWD terrible driving guys ... seriously. You need more practice. I can drive around practicaly in place with my 4x4 kyosho fz mk II
That’s actually pretty easy. Pirouettes is one of the easiest things to do. HMU when you can random with a RWD chassis.
