I buy ACF50 in bulk. Much, much cheaper. Brush it on, wipe it off. I ride all year and I’m very fussy about my bike. I hose it down after winter rides and wash and reapply every couple of weeks. This regime really works for me. Just my take on it.
That’s what I’ve used for years Keith (it smells good too lol) but you never know if something better has come on the market unless you try the newer products. The only thing I don’t like with ACF50 is the manual pump up spray that you can get. Suffice to say if you pump it up even moderately hard it has a habit of explosively splitting coating everything in range with a coating of ACF50… 😬
Looks a great rig to watch from the comfort of home 😂 I'm yet to purchase my first anti corrosion. I had 'an expensive one' in mind just for the sake of it as it'll be needed for the next few months. Even buying one per year is still worthwhile just to protect my bike IMHO. If you have multiple bikes, cost could be more of an issue.
Absolutely, hours and hours of design work went in to ‘the rig’, or a few mins with some off cut timber, screws and a couple of lengths of raw steel lol 😂 It’ll do the job though and perhaps I’ll set up ‘rust cam’ so the really keen folk can check it at any time. How exciting! ;)
Thanks! It’s not going to be a 5 minute job but I’m trying to make it as realistic as possible and where I am is about as salty as it gets. If these get through the autumn storms without any rust issues you know they’ll be fine anywhere in the uk 👍
absolutely, everything gets covered in salt down here when there's a strong southerly wind but even more so in the autumn / winter months. Hopefully it will start to sort the good products from the ok ones quite quickly :)
