I started to take notice of this legend when I used to work in a rock climbing cafe in Yangshuo in 2003 when the girls played Red Bean and so on. Now I reminisce on that time listening to her.
I 1st heard of Faye Wong from Final Fantasy VIII video game Eyes On Me & that's when I discovered this song it's so pretty & she's got a beautiful voice & she looks very pretty. She did a very good job with this song from Queen.

Back in the mid-90s her label held auditions in a dozen US and Canadian cities, under the guise of wanting to sign some Western bands. They were actually cherry picking Western musicians to back her on a tour...something no Chinese artists had ever done. They picked my pal Mark as the guitarist.
Other than FFVIII, she's also known for her covers of and collaborations with the Cocteau Twins. Great stuff. She's the Chinese equivalent to Elizabeth Fraser.
