Shout out to OnkAnCa64 who suggested this topic for the tutorial!
In this tutorial, we learn the basics of Houdini digital assets and for-each loops. We learn just enough to set up our multiparameter setup in HDA.

If you set "first instance" to 0 on your multiparm block list folder you won't need the +1

Awesome video. Helped me alot. Now I am trying to make multiparm works with handles. Do you know how to do it?

you can definitely create multiple handles in a viewport, but that will. you will gonna heve to start looking at the python ways of controlling the multiparm parameter names on a fly and dynamically change the number of handles.

Love your videos, they are super usefull!!
Got a question... I'm trying to do a similar aproach with multiparm, for a hda that controls different width of streets generated by a group of curves. But with the video's method i ended up with the streed duplicated a lot of times, and i cant figure out how to make each loop cycle work for each individual piece. In adition to that, it would be amazing if the hda list fill automaticly with the ammount of input curves.
if u can give me any clue of how can i do that, it would be great!!

if you are inputting curves, you can use fore-each primitive loop, since a one curve considered a single primitive. For more complex geometry you want to loop, you have to specify the attribute. Any geometry with the same attribute value will be looped together.

is there any way to add ramp to hda multiparam block?

yes. you can drag ramps to multiparm folders from edit parameters.
