It would help if you can give info on why you would want to use different approaches. For example, about UV Texture you basically say "you can use this in a variety of ways" ... ok ... so why would you use it versus some other node? Just something to keep in mind for future videos .... it's better to give a little more info sometimes.
WOW! 😍 I'm 18 months into using Houdini everyday for work and this is by far the best quickstart on UVs I've found. Awesome work Simon! Thanks for doing this. I'm properly ashamed I got this far without realising I can just rectify all shells that easily 😬
Thanks so much for this. Can you please describe how I would work with uvs on live action footage for a simulation in Houdini? I'm trying to project them, but how do I make the uvs 'move' or adjust with the moving footage? thanks!
What is a good way to procedurally select a single vertical loop on a cylindrical shape like @3:31? Select top and bottom faces for seams are easy but adding a single extra vertical loop is challenging.
Yes, that is the tricky part. You could use some with the shortest path or combine it with autoseams node, overall there has not been a solution that would work on many different type of models.
thanks so much for this - so helpful! . I want to ask you. Can you make a video explaining how to make these beautiful materials in the previous video (Overwatch Procedural House fanart).thanks
This is how you condense a 1 hour course into a 8 min video for youtube! Nicely done. Super beginner friendy, thanks.
Great summary. Would love to see advanced version of the tutorial with more practical real life examples.
Thanks for the overview, this provide quick snapshot where to find the right nodes. 🎉
Finally understand all these nodes! Love to see similar video format for other related nodes
This looks amazing, Thanks Simon. You're making life way too easy in Houdini LOL
Thank you for this vid!

Thank you, quick and well explained
I have looked everywhere but couldn't find a way to sew existing seams in Houdini 19.5
Thanks for this!
Super helpful quick reference video so I wont be so reliant on Labs AutoUV anymore...thanks!
Thank you so much for making this video. I come back to this time to time whenever I face issues with UV
Why I don't have this "Labs Auto UV" !!!?

maybe Find Shortest Path?

@@ideallyyours Find Shortest Path does seems like a good fit for some cases, thanks for the sugestion.
