It’s not lost on me that the opening stairway to truck scene had multiple camera angles which were seamlessly edited. Those are pro skills, I have a friend with a film degree from USC whose vids aren’t that detailed. Great work Allie.

Tip for leak proof joints with PVC... A piece of 80 grit sand paper to rough up the glue area will help along with a little heat from a heat gun after the connection. I have used this for years and have never had a leak even under double pressure. It takes a little longer but not as long as taking things back apart and resealing. Plumbers will say this does not matter but they are wrong. Defects in molds and extruding is more common in these days as they are ever trying to reduce the cost of manufacturing. If a plumber tells you different, you need to find a new plumber! lol :)

Ford just announced the Transit Trail that is AWD and lifted. That would be a great van build when they come out in 2023.

When assembling PVC pipe, put it together dry first and use a marker across the joints for line up then glue and 1/4 turn glued joint when you put them together for better fusion and I promise you will never suffer a leak.
i think it'd be funny if you showed us how you get all the shots set up... a lot of running back and forth to place the camera to capture you walking and then running back to collect it and place for the next one. ....you must have to do the journey twice as much, just to get the shots!
And on to past the leak to the next project. It was great to see Allie's parents visit. Leo looked so happy to see them. At the end of the day things got done and everyone was smiling.
Leaks are fixed and that's great! Trent and Brandon dont quit until it all gets figured out. Leo is doing his learning toys so well! He'll be Dad's helper in a few years. Your editing is great Allie! A better plumber than me taught me ; after you have primed and gooped the glue onto the pipe and fitting, make a 1/4 turn as you insert the pipe. This eliminates bubbles that cause your leaks.
You should consider an on-demand water heater. No worries about major water leaks due to a tank failure and they are way more energy-efficient, especially when you consider the above the garage living quarters are not a permanent residence....
Seeing your mom and dad was great, miss seeing them. Brandon is such a lovely guy, I am so happy that he is still happy with his truck. A lovely video once again.
You should take the empty space in your trusses and put drawers on the bottom and then closet doors on the top of the drawers. That will maximize on your dead spaces.
One thing I learned from being a plumber happy plumber is a patient plumber 😊. I totally agree, with your vent system going out the side. That is my favorite way of doing it no holes in the roof I always say :-).

Lier lier is one of my absolute favorite movies! I was almost 9 months pregnant when it came out. I have never in my life laughed so hard I'm my life ! I couldn't stop laughing hysterically my husband and I thought I was going to go into labor from not being able to stop laughing for over 30 minutes. Also why can't I work somewhere where the construction manager wants to stop all work to take a hot cocoa break!

Couldn't help but giggle with Trent and Brandon donning their Plumbers' Hats. I suddenly had the mental image of the Mario Brothers. You guys do great in every role. I am retired military, and every-time something was, what you call; (A Hair Outta Square), we always referred to as, (Close enough for Government Work)! Someone once gave me the definition of that as being Measured with a Micrometer, then Marked with a piece of Chalk, and cut with an AXE! That said.... Only one leak is awesome! DIY is a learn as you go process, and while the results are sometimes, a hair outta square, having a pro do it for you, is nowhere close to the long-term satisfaction you enjoy with ----- WE DID THIS OURSELVES. YOU GUYS ROCK! 👍👏

It’s interesting that when you say it’s 16 degrees for us in the UK that does not appear too bad. We then realise you measure the temperature in Fahrenheit, whereas in the UK we measure in Celsius. So we then have to make the conversion and find that 16 degrees is equal to minus 8 to 9 degrees Celsius .

More time and effort on your part, but it would all be in your control. For that matter, could you pick up small loads from BMC yourself? Here's a idea for content next spring and summer. Build a wider approach, driveway and parking/landing areas up top next to garage and put in a road to your house too. After seeing Brandon's truck, coupled with the type of weather you have there, it might be worth its' weight in gold to have a spray in bedliner applied to his truck bed. Can see rust becoming a problem in a short period or time.
Have had 6-7 P/U trucks and when that bedliner is applied.........NO RUST!!!!

You should have ran your vents into a 3" line. One 3" hole is easier plus it's easier to strap one line instead of two. On the outside make sure to use 45°s to turn up and not a 90°.

I just want to thank you guys for sharing your life. I recently went from vanlife to having a baby. (he is 11 months old now so I love watching Leo grow with him.) to becoming a home owner. I didn’t build it from scratch but you all give me confidence in doing my own diy home project and they have all coke out great! Also building a van definitely helped too! I have put water lines in apartments and hot and cold lines, plus drainage lines too. I have learned that you never get a perfect100% the first time. We had 3,4 inch drainage to deal with. But it was a learning curve. And yes I put extra glue in fittings. Sometimes it works, sometimes doesn't. You guys did a great job despite the cold weather. Keep up the good work.

Leo, a man on the move with a mission!!🤗👦🏻 Snow is absolutely beautiful when you can sit inside your ski condo and plan out tomorrow's runs on the slopes. Not so much when you have to work outside in those same elements. Thank goodness ithe garage is partially enclosed and you have the propane.🔥Nothing worse then working on leaking water pipes in the cold, but so proud that everyone's hard work got the job three quarters done with only one small leak. Almost unheard of.👏🏼👏🏼
So for the garage living space why not go with a tankless water heater, then your not heating water all of the time if no one is visiting or until Trent needs a dog house.
